How patient are y’all going to be with CJ Stroud this season?

Not comparing the two but Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions his rookie year. I like Stroud. I will be patient and hope he develops.
We should wait until game 5-6 of yr 3 before even starting to judge Stroud. This means even if he has a good rookie yr.

Let's assume that the NYG have next year's #1 pick. Would you be favor of trading Stroud to them in return for that pick so that Houston can pick a real QB?

I thought you were joking. Are you seriously saying you can't decipher the meaning of that post?
I've said this before and I say it again.

With you, there's no telling, so I have to play both sides, because that what you often did.

So I gave you a laughing emoji, and also that link.
There's also a reason for that link.
Hint: it may not be for you. 🤔 :brando:

I'm looking for magic.

Every winning team has it to some extent or another. It's more than the Jimmies & the Joes more than the Xes & the Ohs. The ball bounces their way more frequently than not. People in the right place at the right time, they get all the calls, & just look like the luckiest team alive.

Think of that streak of games where Jacoby Jones looked like an NFL clutch receiver & the Ravens go on to win a Super Bowl.

Magic.

I'm hoping to say, "No way!!!!" at least a dozen times each game (in the Texans favor). & this time next year people talking about, "you can't count on that." & "expect them to regress to the mean."
Magic

Hard not to like the kid after learning about this. He’s doing all the right things and proving to not be a follower. I hope he doesn’t lose track of what’s important and continues to mature and improve in all areas of his personal and professional life. Good good stuff…
He looks like a Godfather in that pic 🤣

That is awesome to see. The team voting him captain before he'd even played a game says a lot. That's a room full of grown ass men choosing a 21 yo rookie as a leader. Your post just confirms why. Thanks for posting it.

I think it's awesome that DeMeco is connected to CJ as a mentor, friend, and HC, and both in their first years. They are both natural leaders and very mature at young ages. I doubt CJ strays considering his HC is a former player and has such a solid support structure around him.

I think this is the foundation of great things. Kool Aid, optimism, whatever, I'm buying in as a fan, especially after seeing what he's capable of in just four games. :texflag:

Is Bryce Young hanging out with the Texans for dinner?

I'm really hoping for a McDermott/Josh Allen type of situation to occur here.

I still have my concerns about a defensive head coach (especially with hype already building around Slowik) but that McDermott Allen combo is the shining example of a defensive head coach in the modern NFL. Allen had a good OC in Daboll to guide him early and develop him, hopefully Slowik will be around for 2 years to really get CJ going and then hopefully have Jerrod Johnson step in once Slowik is inevitably hired away. Then by that point the hope is CJ is good enough to perform relatively independently of his OC and DeMeco can coach up a great defense year in and year out.

We shall see

CJ is lighting up the league, the team and the fanbase and is as exciting a prospect we have seen in a Texans uni since DW4 was doing well.
Still, as a long suffering Texans fan, I cannot let myself get over the top excited until a full season or even halfway into the second as teams tend to find a weakness or two to bring them back to earth.
Still, I can enjoy the current success and dream of what's possible with what I am seeing.
Here's hoping for a bright and successful future.
