After week 1 this is what the AFC South looks like...
Titans 1-0
Texans 0-1
Colts 0-1
Jaguars 0-1
Tennessee just ran away with the game against the Browns. The Browns looked like their usual old self after all the hype about Baker Mayfield.
Houston's offense looks like it has life but the same problem still haunts them. The offensive line. Until Devlin is gone, it will continue to look like this. He can take a proven pro bowl, all pro veteran and turn them into garbage and he simply can not develop young players. Get rid of him. That's the only answer there. Bring in a proven guy like Bruce Matthews to coach this offensive line. The talent is there, just need the coaching. And then there's Romeo Crennell and playing soft defense. I just don't understand what he was trying to do playing off so much and only rushing 3 most of the game. That defensive philosophy needs to be scrapped and he needs to get allot more aggressive on defense and stay in the quaterbacks and receivers face. They Saints were beatable and losing like the Texans did is simply not acceptable. Stop going into conservative mode on both offense and defense when you get a lead.
The Colts just won't be what they were with Andrew Luck gone. Jacoby Brissett is a good young talent, just not a starter. They are where they should be after playing a good game against the Chargers.
The Jaguars are, well, the Jaguars. Then the loss of their starting QB for the year. They are even more snake bit then the Texans. The Chiefs were simply way more then the Jaguars could even dream of handling.
This week is the AFC South division week.
The Texans will take on the Jaguars at NRG Stadium:
This game should be all Texans. The Jaguars will have their back up rookie quarterback, Gardener Minshew, starting. Hopefully, Romeo will dial up aggressive blitz packages and keep the corners on the receivers and harass them all day long. Don't let them even breath. On the other hand, The offense should be able to tear through the Jaguars defense with an improved running game and all the receiving threats at Watson's disposal.
Texans will win.
The Colts will travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans at Nissan Stadium:
Without Andrew Luck, the Colts are simply going to have a hard time with the division. Jacoby just won't be enough. The Titans will take this game in their stadium.
At the end of the day it will be:
Titans 2-0
Texans 1-1
Colts 0-2
Jaguars 0-2
