With the Chiefs setting the bar as high as they have since last season, I’m just hoping Watson is accurate, and makes all the right decisions. It’s going to take an incredible performance to get an ounce of love by the analysts. Can we please not look the fools on national television!?

By the way, watching the Patriots-Steelers game has me feeling depressed. Why doesn’t our EP system ever look this good? Brady is looking like a quarterback god!

The Chiefs and Mahomes are a match made in heaven.

Watson is a damn good QB but he's gimped by a stupid offense and an inept coaching staff. I wish they'd trade two first round picks for Belecheat.

Brady looks like a QB god ? HE is the GOAT …. what do you expect him to look like ?

He would only make OB like decisions for the season, demand to be released and go right back to NE with 2 of our first rounds to work with.

Pats are the master of the rub routes on offense. Defensively is where you see their greatness. Belichick is constantly coming up with schemes to take a team's best skill guy away & most teams can't function like that. Amazing how he held the greatest show on turf down...& then 20 years later followed that up with what he did to that rams offense last year....

After week 1 this is what the AFC South looks like...

Titans 1-0
Texans 0-1
Colts 0-1
Jaguars 0-1

Tennessee just ran away with the game against the Browns. The Browns looked like their usual old self after all the hype about Baker Mayfield.

Houston's offense looks like it has life but the same problem still haunts them. The offensive line. Until Devlin is gone, it will continue to look like this. He can take a proven pro bowl, all pro veteran and turn them into garbage and he simply can not develop young players. Get rid of him. That's the only answer there. Bring in a proven guy like Bruce Matthews to coach this offensive line. The talent is there, just need the coaching. And then there's Romeo Crennell and playing soft defense. I just don't understand what he was trying to do playing off so much and only rushing 3 most of the game. That defensive philosophy needs to be scrapped and he needs to get allot more aggressive on defense and stay in the quaterbacks and receivers face. They Saints were beatable and losing like the Texans did is simply not acceptable. Stop going into conservative mode on both offense and defense when you get a lead.

The Colts just won't be what they were with Andrew Luck gone. Jacoby Brissett is a good young talent, just not a starter. They are where they should be after playing a good game against the Chargers.

The Jaguars are, well, the Jaguars. Then the loss of their starting QB for the year. They are even more snake bit then the Texans. The Chiefs were simply way more then the Jaguars could even dream of handling.

This week is the AFC South division week.

The Texans will take on the Jaguars at NRG Stadium:
This game should be all Texans. The Jaguars will have their back up rookie quarterback, Gardener Minshew, starting. Hopefully, Romeo will dial up aggressive blitz packages and keep the corners on the receivers and harass them all day long. Don't let them even breath. On the other hand, The offense should be able to tear through the Jaguars defense with an improved running game and all the receiving threats at Watson's disposal.
Texans will win.

The Colts will travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans at Nissan Stadium:
Without Andrew Luck, the Colts are simply going to have a hard time with the division. Jacoby just won't be enough. The Titans will take this game in their stadium.

At the end of the day it will be:

Titans 2-0
Texans 1-1
Colts 0-2
Jaguars 0-2

The Texans and Titans should have 1 division win each and the Colts and Jaguars 1 division loss each.
So in the AFC South division, we could see it like this after today.
Titans 1-0
Texans 1-0
Colts 0-1
Jaguars 0-1

Umm, this is week 2? Or are you taking division record only? And don't count on a Titans win. Also I remember the last time
The Texans home opener was against the Jags they kicked the Texans a$$. Division games are anything but sure

Well, if you read it, it's clearly AFC South only. The post before that is the combined schedule of both weeks. I expect a good game out of the Titans and Colts, but the Titans should definitely win. As for the Texans vs Jags. Really? Texans will win.

Sorry, I didn't thoroughly read the previous post... TL. I was going off the thread schedule, and don't underestimate OB

The Texans won over the Jaguars by 1.
The Colts won over the Titans by 2.

2 very close games.

The records are now
Texans 1-1
Titans 1-1
Colts 1-1
Jaguars 0-2

The division record is
Texans 1-0
Colts 1-0
Titans 0-1
Jaguars 0-1

It's a 3 way tie with the Texans and Colts having the advantage on the season because of division wins. Within the division, it's a 2 way tie with the Texans and Colts at a tie with neither having the advantage because both won in the division.
On to next week.

Why? I think it's clearly the worst in the NFL right now
So all you can say is "Trash division"?
How bout using your head, gather stats and numbers to prove your point and then make one. "Trash division" is a thoughtless, trash comment.

All you do is make posts with rainbows and sunshine. This team has HUGE issues. It's about time the fans make a stink to create change. Ignoring them in an ugly win will not help when we get smoked vs good teams.

Every other division has a team that is a contender. The best team in the AFC south has like a 30-1 shot by Vegas odds

Lol, OB has DW4 being dropped in fantasy. No has that mustache in jax on their team. No one has Tenn or Indi qb on their team. Yeah a trash division. Fantasy football is king good buddy.

Houston should win this division by default

You guys say what you want... trash or not.

The important thing is......

The Colts took care of the Titans..... a Titans led AFCS is just.... wrong and unholy.

If the Titans dont sit at the top.... the universe is in order.

This week the Texans will take on the Chargers, The Titans will take on the Jaguars and the Colts will take on the Falcons.

Texans at Chargers: The Texans go to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers. Both are at 1-1. The Chargers so far have looked pretty beatable and have not been the team they were last year. This could be a game the Texans start putting things together as well and start showing some of that dangerous aerial attack as well as a potent 2 headed running game. After this, the Texans could be 2-1

Titans at Jaguars: The Titans will go to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. A stout defense and Fournette could help the Jaguars take this one and finally put a win in their record. After this divisional game, the Titans could be 1-2 in the league and 0-2 in the Division and the Jaguars could be 1-2 in the league and 1-1 in the division.

Falcons at Colts: The Falcons will go to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones will just be too much for the Colts defense to handle. After this one, they could could be 1-2.

So after week 3, the records could look like this
Texans 2-1
Jaguars 1-2
Colts 1-2
Titans 1-2

AFC South Division record could be
Texans 1-0
Jaguars 1-1
Colts 1-0
Titans 0-2

I thought Matt Ryan was Atlanta's QB? We pretty much destroyed Alex's career last year. Maybe PTSD for you (Sarcasm). We could certainly be on top 2-1 after the weekend, plausible

I'm going to try to watch both of these games. If the Titans can move the ball against Jacksonville I'm going to cry.

The Colts & Falcons, just want to see these guys as we'll be playing both soon.

It looks like the Jaguars are going to handle the Titans handily in this one.

Why is billachecks tree filled with crappy coaches?
Because he doesn't mentor them or prepare them for life outside of the Patriots. He has no interest in their careers after they leave the organization. Look at the way the team handled the Caserio deal. That guy clearly wants out, but is held there by some weirdly constructed contract that doesn't make him the GM but somehow keeps him from seeking a promotion elsewhere. When it looked like the Texans might actually be able to beat the contract, they hit them with tampering. It takes effort to hold people against their will.

Agreed. There is a reason Andy Reid’s coaching tree has many branches but Belicheck’s is just a stump. Begins and ends with him.

The Patriots have been the kings of the crappiest division in football for two decades. If the Texans can handle their business, it won't matter what the rest if the division does.
And how has that mattered one bit for them? When you're either the #1 or #2 seed for like 10 years you're the best team in the entire AFC regardless. Their domination has been on the entire AFC, not just their division. Their out of division games have just as good of a winning %.

When have the Dolphins or Bills been good? There was a brief moment with Sanchez and the Jets, but after and before that they sucked too.

Yeah, I just calculated this back to the 2002 season. They've got a 78% winning percentage in their division which drops all the way down to 76% when you look at their record outside their division. I didn't break down the conference/non-conference, but they seem to dominate everyone.

I think their AFC games out of division has an even higher winning %, but not 100% sure. They actually have more trouble with their division than the rest of the AFC it seems. They lose one game to Miami almost ever year.
