Week 1: Texans vs Colts Gameday Thread

We are in 1st place!!! Now I hope the secondary gets coached up some. They got smoked. Colts shoulda had another 14 points but the passes were too long. Bill oBrien ot Kubiak would not have gone for it on 4th downs, Im glad football is back. I think we have a winning combo this year.

Not all the times. The media always toss ut fake smoke most of the time. They know people will gravitate towards it. Why because it’s dirty and juicy news. Again don’t feed into that crap all the times.

Oh I certainly dont. I am well aware what sells and what the media is doing. The guy is a diva with a big ego. He was the number one WR in Buffalo and still had issues there, sideline flameout on TV during game, walking out of locker room before coach finished talking to team, and this as a team captain. Lets see how he feels being wr2 and doesnt get the targets he is accustomed to. If he calls out Stroud on the sidelines like he did with Josh Allen, it will be a different situation, CJ wont just ignore it. Anyway I hope he proves me wrong.

Eh. We can cry media all we want but we see what we see regardless. Teams don't just get rid of immensely talented players for no reason. He's always in the news and the Bills were/are Super Bowl contenders with a top 2 or 3 quarterback in the league over the last 5 years. It's not media fluffing we're buying into. It's observed patterns.

Same **** with a guy like Brandin Cooks or anyone else that is very good but just moves all over the place. There's a reason why.

But ya I'll be happy to ride his positive moods or whatever right to a Super Bowl. Just pull the plug before it goes sour. It likely will.

No negativity, you are not getting the point. Someone simply posted is Diggs happy with his targets today, which I feel is a very reasonable question given the perception many have of him. However, your reply was why are people making a big deal out of nothing? I dont think it is nothing and their is a legitimate history, a track record. Clearly you don’t feel that that way. But many do and I am not buying your explanation it is just media manipulation. Ok, buddy?

He asked to be traded from those teams. I posted the interview. Those teams didn’t want to get rid of him. But we all know people will be the negative stuff spewed by the media all day everyday.

It was a great question because of his history and less targets than what he is accustomed to. You should get a grip yourself before making comments that people’s questions are stupid. It is also insulting and immature of you to ask if Diggs did something to me personally. But maybe I am talking to a child.

You’re the one with the immaturity on this subject. Did you even watch the game or was you only focused on Diggs every move out there? Trying to find anything to validate an insane question. Two touchdowns and you’re worried about if he’s feeling some type of way about the limited touches.

I’ll be honest… I lept for joy when we got Diggs. I felt he would be a great fit and Stroud was clicking with him. So I wanted Diggs.

Unfirtubayrly… I started to think the “would he be happy…” question during the game though. I was like… 33 yards but he’s got a TD. I worried for a little bit. Then he got another TD and I felt a LITTLE better about whether or not if he was happy with his targets.

I didn’t like the stress of having those feelings or those thoughts but I had them. That’s real… and a legitimate concern I think.

Relax and enjoy the game. He will have his big moments too. I hate the media shitted on that man’s name like that.

Yeah… unfortunately I fell victim when I tuned my TV to see Earl Campbell bum rushing everybody. It was a great time to be a fan. Longing for the newspaper to be delivered the following day so I could read up on articles. I loved FOOTBALL Rabbits hole? I’m not an idiot but the media is -how- we enjoy these games too.

I enjoyed the game immensely. WTF you talking about? I’m very well relaxed. We -won-. Lol. How about -you- maybe “relax” as you said and don’t be condescending if you can’t respond to my comment realistically?

Diggs is extremely competitive guy who gives his best and wants others to. If they don't, he is on them. Type of player I want.

That was a whole different era. The Oilers thought they could win it all but didn't have the physicality in the secondary to pull it off against Pittsburgh.

Thank you. He is incapable of responding intelligently. Instead, he takes personal shots that are demeaning and insulting when you disagree with him. I think many Texans fans where wondering the same thing, how would Diggs feel reqarding his targets or yards. Is is a legitimate question given his track record. But he just feels it is all media crap and unwilling to hold him accountable. Maybe he has some personal bond to Diggs.
