The DTs need to keep their gap discipline too.Fragile or not… he’s at full strength right now and that makes him dangerous. OurcLBs are going to be in for a rude awakening if they don’t plug up those run holes!

Hughes is good as long as we can keep him fresh...but hoping we see WAJr on the field...will be paramount to setting edge and containing and chasing richardson downAnderson is iffy to play. Ryans is playing coy but reading between the lines, I think it’s maybe 60/40 that he plays. If he can’t go or isn’t at his best, the depth will be tested, especially given that one depth piece is out 6 weeks on sispensiom]n. We would be down to Barnett and Jerry Hughes rotating in. And Anderson is a damn good run stopper too. Given that Harris is also out, this is a very worrisome situation.
Two words: I agree with you 100 percent my brother.Three words - WE GOT THIS
I am thankful IDK WTF is going on here.Grandpa always said bridge
lol
No, they're hiding.Did we lose our famous Texans Talk Smilies ?![]()
Anderson just began running less than a week ago. This was straight line running. The next stage of rehab is concentrating on strengthening and proprioception training (gaining awareness of the leg, foot and joint positions in space) which usually will require at least ~2 weeks before cutting drills are safely allowed. Then safe game play (to lessen the potential for re-injury) will need additional time for strengthening and proprioception.Anderson is iffy to play. of course, of course, of course...Not
The Texans are as healthy as they will be until next May.
IIRC, last season the opposition's run game didn't hurt us much.
They only had 8 games where they gave up 100+ yards on the ground and went 5-3 in those games. 2 of them however were against Baltimore and 2 of the top 3 were against the Colts.
Not real worried about stopping the run other than a team that uses it to control the clock and keep CJ on the sidelines.
I think the real difference this year is that other than Lamar, they didn’t face many quality QBs last year. Save for injuries, that changes some this year.
I want to keep our offense cranking with a TD every possession. INDIANAPOLIS -- — C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson found themselves in the same spot when they met in Week 2 last season.
Both quarterbacks were top-five draft picks, lost their season openers and seemed to be facing a steep learning curve.
Richardson won Round 1 in Houston, although he didn't finish the game.
Stroud took Round 2 in Indianapolis as the injured Richardson watched from the sideline as Texans clinched the AFC South title and Stroud locked up his runaway selection as NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
On Sunday, each begins his second pro season — with a lot still to prove.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Seriously, CJ has a lot still to prove that his rookie season wasn't a fluke?
I get that the media is bandwagoning on the Texans and there are some out there that think they have to be naysayers in response to that, but whatever AP writer did this story is trying to create a false equivalency between Stroud and Richardson.
They can doubt the Rockets all they want. They are the Cowboys of the NBA. Just not the Texans or Astros. :PAh yes! The familiar situation of being a Houston sports fan and having the media doubt us.
Thats fine. Been there before. We know how it ends.

Did not realize the amount of turnover on the Texans and lack of for Colts since week 18. Part of it injuries, but also Caserio’s roster churn for all but a few core players.

Enemy Intel: How the Colts Have Changed Since the Texans Week 18 Matchup
I spy, with my little eye, someone in blue who is going to lose.www.battleredblog.com
The Colts will run it back with 19 of 22 starters while the Texans will feature just nine returning starters.
They did improve on offense and their defense is solid. So there’s a good chance they could. Hopefully not. I’m hoping it’s our year.So the whole season we have to hear commentators and sports radio crown the chiefs for a 3 peat?
with that.

Too bad they were only relevant for two years... 30 years ago.Blasphemy.
The Rockets started the tradition of being doubted. Sports Illustrated didn’t even have a cover ready to distribute to celebrate. That first championship pissed off the world because they beat the Knicks.

It is too bad.
Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady could never be healthy at the same time.
James Harden would disappear in the playoffs and get mad when he was held accountable for going to the strip club too much.
But the Rockets are still more relevant to Houston than the Oilers ever were and yet some around these parts still want to bring back the colors.
You think Rockets more relevant than Oilers were EVER?It is too bad.

@badboy , if someone didn't live through Luv Ya Blue it's difficult to explain or understand. It was the first time Houston found its identity in a sports team. I don't think that experience can be duplicated. A one off we were very fortunate to be a part of.You think Rockets more relevant than Oilers were EVER?
I am disagreeing with that. Rockets had parades 1994 and 1995 but Oilers had a few fans appear in Astrodome during Bum Phillips kick the door down years.
No way in hell. The Oilers during luv ya blue owned this city. What is happening now with the Texans is like a flea on an elephant to the Bum Phillips era Oilers. I remember it like it was yesterday. It is too bad.

Say what ?But the Rockets are still more relevant to Houston than the Oilers ever were and yet some around these parts still want to bring back the colors.
Good riddance to the Oilers. Tennessee can have that loser franchise.I saw an interview with Pastorini where he said that hundreds of cars were lined up on the shoulder of the freeway honking & waving pom-poms out the windows at the bus as the team went to the Dome from the airport. He had tears in his eyes when he talked about the thousands of fans waiting at the Astrodome for them. And they lost. Imagine if they had won.
Most fans did not think the Oilers were losers just Bud Adams.Good riddance to the Oilers. Tennessee can have that loser franchise.

which town are you referring to?? San Antonio where you're from or H-town?? Surprised your even a Texans fan if your from San Antonio and spurs fan....that area is so cowgirl country and san antonio cheers everything dallas related and its sickening.I'm totally being petty because I am from San Antonio and will always be a Spurs fan.
But I am also totally petty because I love that Hannah is giving the bird to Amy with the H-town Blue. All these Love Ya Boomers can keep their Columbia Blue. It did nothing for this town.

Both basketball & baseball are basically pacifiers until the football season led by the NFL
begins in the Fall. The Houston , TX sports passion is football: period !
Like I said, you can't understand it if you didn't live it. That doesn't mean I would ever underestimate the heart of a champion.
Not this guy for sure because I didn't arrive to Houston until well after the Oilers era,
