My preferred browser has been Firefox. I just made it my default and no problem. In fact, TT may load even faster. So it does seem, on my phone at least, the problem is with Chrome.

Folks it’s not the browser it’s my account. If I logout of my account, it’s zippy as hell in Chrome. Log back in…back to painfully slow.

Went over to Edge. Wasn’t logged in and zippy as hell. I logged in…and painfully slow.

Went over to Safari. And you guessed it. Worked great until I logged in,,,then slower than a sloth on Benadryl.

Any idea how to fix this issue? I can create a new account, but I have had this one for over 20 years. I would hate to lose my post history, etc. please advise!

It’s pretty much unusable unless I log out, so I cannot comment or even like a post, so something has to give or I will be a 100% lurker only.

Go to your preferences and make sure you are using TT red border style, make sure the time is correct and check which notifications you have checked

Hey Porky, I reset your account in the admin panel. Please let me know if it helps.

OMG! What did you do? All the sudden it's working like a freaking rock star! Amazing!

I actually had submitted a request for a new user name (Porky's Piglet lol) because I wanted to test a new account to see if that new one would work.

So, now I don't need it. You can ignore the request/delete it, etc.

Thanks so so much DB!

What does it mean?
I see the "not secure" warning but am curious as to what induces it.
I'm not positive what dite certificate means, but it seems that a site has to certify it's servers with Microsoft/Chrome or some such to verify the validity of their server and site trust worthiness. Or maybe some geek here knows a better description

When you connect to a website, your browser automatically checks the site's certificate to confirm the site's identity and to encrypt your connection (https). To force the website owner to get the latest encryption, the certificate expires yearly.

If you click on NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID text in the error, it expands and displays the error below.

Your connection isn't private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.texanstalk.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
Subject: texanstalk.com
Issuer: Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA
Expires on: May 6, 2023
Current date: May 7, 2023

PEM encoded chain:-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----

Hope you fix this. Occurring on my Android and my computer. Can't post on my phone. Gave Firefox permission to accept risk, but won't log on again until fixed. Won't accept the security risk on my computer.

got that all yesterday.
now I’m on the site and when I first go to a link on the page, I get a full screen AD. I can exit out of it quickly but what a pain in the arse

Thanks to the person/admin/owner who renewed the certificate. Looks like the certificate has been updated and the issue resolved.

If you view the site information the following appears:

This site has a valid certificate, issued by a trusted authority.

This means information (such as passwords or credit cards) will be securely sent to this site and cannot be intercepted.

Always be sure you're on the intended site before entering any information.

Yeh, I've been getting those as well. Also, those, relatively, new pull down ads at the top of my screen occasionally lock up my phone and I get a message, Chrome is not responding (I use Firefox not Chrome). After a while, sometimes a minute or more, I regain control of my phone.

DB messaged me yesterday and I was away. I could only get to this today. It used to be that only websites or pages that collected sensitive information like credit card info, etc needed to be secured with SSL. However, Google a few years ago decided to require all websites be secured with SSL or it would throw up those "unsafe browsing" errors. Many felt it was a ploy to sell more SSL certs. It's a pain to install these and keep them up to date. I'm no security admin however I really doubt anything "unsafe" is going to happen browsing a website that's not secured with SSL as long as you're not submitting sensitive information. Regardless, sorry for the interruption.

No apologies necessary!

We appreciate all that you do to keep the message board up and running.

Thanks again! We all appreciate it.

At my company, we use Google Cloud and a lot of their stuff.

They recently changed their cert renewal process and some of our auto-renew servers didn't renew and it screwed us up for almost a day. The worst part of it was that it hit a subset of our queueing servers, so some things were working but any order placed with a new patient failed, and failed in a way that didn't raise our alerts. One of our customers had to complain before our support and infrastructure people even knew there was an issue.

There were some really tough calls that week regarding our service level agreements.

Every time someone posts a twitter link the page takes forever to load.

I use iPad and iPhone mostly.

My internet connection is 400mbs and I don’t have trouble with other things loading quickly.

I think it's because it has to load all the images of all the twitter links on the page. At least when I look, images load from top to bottom even if I've already looked at them

Yeah but my internet bandwidth handles pics like a champ, maybe the TexansTalk server is choking on them.

Just wondered if anyone else is having issues.

I do and my bandwidth doesn't have trouble with pics either. It must be the server but I don't know if there is a fix other than allowing the links with no images. Btw, my internet is also 400mbs

I'd like to report a bug.

Everytime I post anything remotely positive about the team, I always get the same replies, usually;

1) Nothing has changed down on Kirby
2) Cal learned it from his father
3) Marketing company with a football division

Maybe my computer caught a virus....

The CDC has recently reported a Reality Challenged Disorder outbreak in Texas.

This isn't really a bug, but is there any way for a pig...er I mean poster...to change his "handle" or whatever you call the name you use on the board?

Why isn't the offensive line thread showing up in the Texanstalk forum? It shows up on the forum page, and what's up with the post count when it actually has 305 or so?
