Bryce Young vs CJ Stroud

yep, can't wait for the

-bragging by posters that they were right about Young's size all along
-the questioning of how the measures are taken
-the allegations of fake weights and Young won't play at that number ever or slow if he tries
-further digging into the viewpoint that the poster already has

:hankpalm::slapfight::smiliepalm:
What is wrong with this?

Enjoy the agent experience in 3 yrs, which will doom this franchise to mediocrity, just like it has with Derrick/Kyler.
Here’s the problem with that theory. If he’s good enough for them to ask for a crazy amount before his rookie deal is over that means he lit it up. He’s either worth what they’re asking or some other team will gladly give up their future to trade for him.

He's one I really want to watch more of. He has the size and speed to be a #1 WR, but I need to see more of his play to determine if he has the skills to be a #1.
He didn’t face very good competition. He was a superb athlete playing against below average athletes.

We won't have enough draft capital to get more than one good receiver so hopefully Cooks stays or we can bring in some decent vets. We need at minimum two strong receiving threats and a good receiving TE.
Nico Collins is almost there, but he doesn't scare the crap out of defenses. Queintin Johnson should and if Cooks stays, that should be enough - especially if Moore can keep up the good work.
That would be a respectable receiving Corp.
Hyatt and Achane are the 2 guys that will keep DC's up at night.

I'm hoping they draft a TE this is the yr to draft one of you're ever going to draft one.

Moon were straight pocket qb's.

No he wasn’t. Moon was the best rollout QB I’ve ever seen. He was great on the move. You need to go back and watch some Edmonton Eskimos games. He was amazing outside the pocket. He was forced to be a pocket passer here because of old school thinking from our old school coaches. Complete mismanagement of him IMO.

Are the scale and and stadiometer used at the combine calibrated per NIST SOP? When was the last traceable calibration? Was the calibration forged? By "gaining weight" has Bryce Young surgically implanted platinum into his body?

No matter the results, the public will demand a full on post combine measurement investigation.
For that measurement will he have to pee in a cup?

If we can hold off for 4 years, we can trade him to Cleveland for three round ones, a second and a 4th. DW could be traded by Browns saving $46 million to Panthers or Dolphins.

I'm telling y'all now. I'm going to be peeeISed off if they draft B.Young with 1.2

Not so bad 1.12

Better if 1.17 or lower.

But after the draft, B.Young will be sliced bread regardless where they take him
You ever Heard the old saying, that's the best thing since sliced bread?

Now that I think about it, if Young is picked I can't see how management doesn't invest heavily in the WR early - like #12. Metchie coming back helps, but Young would need another twitchy alpha WR1 and run fast timing routes like Miami did this past season. Like Tua, that will cover up much of the arm strength by allowing him to throw before the pass rush gets home. Minimize Young's weaknesses and work to his other strengths, which are considerable.

The thing I always go back to is that if Tua can succeed the way he did this year, why can't Young? I think Young is more talented overall. Just need to allow Young to work in space, in whichever way you can. Whether that's quick timing throws, better line protection etc.
2 ultra fast WRs and 2 RBs who can catch ball to match with Pierce. Slowik will utilize QB to throw short passes with high accuracy and Ryans wants a strong run game to wear down defense.

Hyatt and Rashee Rice.

Bijan and Charbonnet .

OC and RG in free agency.
Daron Payne [Bears draft Carter] and MLB Tremaine Edmunds.

Young or Hooker.

Not if he is toast.

This idiot probably thought Derrick was the perfect fit for the Texans too.

Perfect in that the Texans are a mediocre franchise that will be lead by a mediocre QB and if I'm wrong in 3 yrs the agent is going to be holding said QB out trying to hold the franchise hostage. Yipeee

You need your own YouTube channel so you can tell everyone about midgets, Nigerians, and Clemson trash. I'll be the 1st to subscribe.

Dont draft these kinds of guys, you're setting yourself up for more of what we've witnessed for the last 50 yrs down on Kirby.

Loved
Well, Williams was one of the greatest deep passers the college game had ever seen. Coach Robinson designed the Grambling offense around Williams passing ability. Grambling was still Grambling then, and scouts were at every game. Louisiana QBs were very much respected then. Bradshaw, Joe Ferguson, Bert Jones. Doug Williams was right there with them. Yeah he was black, and that was still a problem for some teams. But some teams wanted a QB that could drop a football in a bucket from 75 yards, regardless.

Loved the dream sickle look. With Williams, Bell, Jimmie Giles and the Selmon brothers.

The trade for Earl helped McKay build a really good franchise, until the Culverhouse clan got cheap with Williams. Then the house of cards came tumbling down.

Who's #1?

Young is just a little shorter and he's certainly skinnier. But look at the wrists. Is Young's significantly smaller?

When was the photo taken? Very important?

Young is aiming to be at 210 lbs + by the combine. Time in the weight room will add muscle.

Two weeks and this will be put to rest.

Think about what you said. Young looks shorter in that picture. Murray is 5’10.

And you are comparing wrists.

Just saying.

But if I could get Young in the second and draft defense at 2 and Bijan at 12 in the would do it.

What if your favorite QB (C Williams or whoever) in 24' or 25' or who knows when signs with Athletes First? Do we just go without drafting a QB if they're with AF? I'm not sure if you've looked into it but Athletes First has a good share of the best players coming out in the drafts. Of the TOP THREE agents raking in the millions #1 and #3 are with Athletes First. Mulugheta being #3. (Todd France#1)

I'd not be shocked if CW signs with these guys. What then? We can't pass on players because of one bad experience. IMO with the on field leadership (and FO) going forward I would hope this is a dead issue with players and agents. I just can't see an agent player rep being the factor making the call on draft day. Makes no sense.

I would consider dealing with that POS because I think Williams is that good. With that said, if it's close between Williams/Maye and Williams has chosen that POS to represent him, I'm drafting Maye with no doubts.

I believe in trying to not repeat mistakes. Of course I look at the QB position differently than most. I believe in bringing in a new QB every 7-8 yrs which is a QB's window to win championships.

It could be coach/gm speak, but Carstrerio has said he doesn't have a problem dealing with Athletes 1st no more than dealing with Boras and the guy who had all the Miami guys.

Then Cal/Caserio are going to get taken for the fools they are in about 3 years.

With your luck they will both sign with him... then your gonna cry

Nope

I will accept that there will be no championships.

I don't have to worry about this, this POS only represents African American players.

Modern Day Don King without the hair.

Will you eat crow if you’re wrong and we do end up winning with some players that are represented by them?

You can win with guys like Ramsey

Just not a QB represented by this POS. Why because this POS destroys your cap and therefore your chances to win championships.

Yes I will eat crow. But that's very unlikely if you take history into account. To beat the trend a QB represented by this POS will have to win a championship within his 1st three years in the NFL. It's been done before so I guess it's possible. The chance of winning a championship after this POS renegotiates said QB's contract.

If Young weighs 210 lbs at the combine he wont be doing any running.

Nobody wants to see Madea run.

If god has a sense of humor we will draft a Nigerian midget Qb from Clemson on the advice of Seth Payne.
I do not like beer but if that happens I will go to Baytown and drink some cold ones with Clint sterner in the Robert E Lee high school parking lot. I used to walk across street to the bowling alley. Once, I watched a big old senior gal chase a guy across lanes with butcher knife. Ah, the good old days in Baytown.

I liked Wentz too.
I reckon if he had gone to a team like Chiefs or 49ers, his career would have blossomed.
Wentz went downhill in 2020 with the Eagles when his sack and interception numbers skyrocketed. Philly had crap WRs and Wentz wouldn't/couldn't get the ball out. Nothing's really changed in his last two stops in Indy and Washington. Injuries are likely to be a part of it. But there have been questions regarding his makeup since he struggled in Philly. Some guys (like David Carr) have the tools but not the football character to be winning NFL QBs.

He didn't have these issues with the same talent around him in Philly until he got hurt. There's a fine line between being a MVP candidate and a bottom tier QB.
