Not sure if there are moves that could fix our problems but I think there are some that are necessary at least in the short term.
In no particular order!
1.) Bring Riley McCarron up off the practice squad. It seemed like him and Watson had a real connection during the preseason. Miller has shown NOTHING! Put Riley in the slot and see if they can continue to build chemistry.
2.) Sign free agent TE Gary barnidge. I know he's older but sick of these TEs that can't do anything with the ball after the catch other than get hurt. Doesn't have to be a long term deal.
2.) Sign free agent Nick Mangold. Either he or Martin can play guard. Hell put mancz back at center and play Martin and Mangold at guard.
3.) Guarantee the next two years to Brown and get him back on the field.
4.) Start Foreman and run him alot.
5.) Play Procsh! Let's line up in the I and pound the ball with Foreman with a lead blocker. This will hopefully bring the defense up closer to the LOS and allow play action roll out with a mobile Watson to be more successful. It should also allow for more one on ones with Strong and Hopkins and even allow Barnidge to slip past the defense occasionally for a long play down the middle.
No none of these are long term solutions, but this is a better plan than having Watson sitting in the pocket trying to read the defenses and make plays.
I'm sure others here have better ideas so let's hear them. It's not like we have anything better to talk about.
