Difference is I think the MetLife Stadium field is conducive to injuries. Has nothing to do with the NYJ team.
And we know that football can be conducive to concussions and CTE. Should we stop the sport for fear of injury?

Not on the Metlife turf!!!!!..........even with no rain in the forecast tonight!I do not want my quarterback running, however if he is going to get clobbered anyway might as well pick up some yards doing it I guess.
More established coaching staff? They have an interim head coach and recently switched playcallers..While the Jets have been struggling lately, they still have a more established roster and coaching staff compared to the Texans.
Recent betting trends? The Jets have lost 5 in a row vs. the spread.Betting Trends: Recent betting trends and expert opinions favor the Jets to win this game.
They're favored because of a large fanbase that over bets them. The Jets were 1.5 point favorites at Pittsburgh. That's how out of touch their fanbase is.They’re favored b/c they’re at home and we just lost our #2 WR. That’s it.
I said somewhere else that Texans could be one concussion away from losing CJ for good a la Andrew LuckUntil the oline is somehow miraculously fixed, expect the Texans to struggle no matter who they are playing.
And because of that, I have no idea of what to expect from the Texans in any game until then. They should beat the Jets, but that doesn't mean anything really.
Because of our crappy, horrible totally junior high school level oline I worry about CJ's health as much as I do them winning.

I understand the sentiment, but couldn't that be said for plenty of Qb's throughout the years in the NFL? Look at Tua for reference. I know we don't want to lose CJ or take time off of his career but that is also the inherent risk in playing pro football.I said somewhere else that Texans could be one concussion away from losing CJ for good a la Andrew Luck
Texans FO need to be raked over with hot coals for risking CJs health like this.
I think it would be really interesting to see a breakdown of injury by stadium. Are you aware of any studies that show each stadium and the injuriy counts, and types of injuries? MetLife sucks per player comments, but it’s all anecdotal.
And that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so.....Run the ball down their ******* throats tonight
Any NFL player is only one play away from disaster, of course. I don't think that was TexanPhan's point. I think he was saying that management has not done enough to protect our franchise potential All-Pro quarterback.I understand the sentiment, but couldn't that be said for plenty of Qb's throughout the years in the NFL? as mom used to say when I would play outside barefoot in the yard with the cows: "watch where you step!"Not on the Metlife turf!!!!!..........even with no rain in the forecast tonight!
I'm surprised the top 2 stadiums for injury rates are grass fields. Met Life is 8th. NRG is next to last, and the lowest artificial turf injury rate. What we don't see is type of injuries and the severities. Still, different than I imagined.![]()
Turf wars: New data shows more injuries still happen on artificial turf
Injury rates on turf continue to lead those on grass, but the NFL says the situation is more complicated.www.nbcnews.com
Run the ball down their ******* throats tonight
Pierce is out with a groin injury tonight.Opposing defenses know that when Pierce enters it’s a run play

Would it not be great for an unheralded player to come in and have a super impact on our game?Missed the Pierce injury….might explain why they activated JJ Taylor to the active roster.

Nope, in fact we should go back to the 80's brand of football. But that doesn't mean I would ruin my favorite teams season playing on a crappy surface. You gotta learn from the past. And we know that football can be conducive to concussions and CTE. Should we stop the sport for fear of injury?

Plus this is an apples, oranges comparison.
JJ has been basically unsuccessful anywhere he went and didn't stand out much in college. At 5 ft 5 and 1/4 and 185 lb and a 40 speed of over 4.6, there's not much to like about him. I was just referring to a unrealistic hope that he could put us in favorable position on returns. I do not see him producing much as a running back other than to give the other guys a breather while he gets a yard or two.I just edited my post…what’s your feedback?
Who did the jets sign to kick? I missed it. Greg the leg has beenDefensively, both teams are built similarly. The back 7 will play about every snap of the game and the DL will rotate heavily (though Hunter/Anderson may play heavier snaps again due to injuries on interior DL shifting Autry more inside).
Which offense is better prepared to attack the other team’s defense? Really important game for Slowik to show why he was in the HC interview cycle last offseason.
And of course ST… Jets will have a new kicker. Texans will have reliable Kaimi. In a defensive battle like this appears it will be that may be the difference.
Who returns kicks? Sims? Woods?Pierce is out with a groin injury tonight.
Tonight's game is on Amazon Prime TNF. Allow me to ask how are you going to watch the game if you don't have this?
It should be aired locally on over air channelTonight's game is on Amazon Prime TNF. Allow me to ask how are you going to watch the game if you don't have this?

Right. But when I quote, it's under your member handle. If there was a link to "Gemini", I could go and quote from there.I was quoting Gemini
Sims, I would think. Is JJ Taylor coming up from the practice squad to replace Pierce?Who returns kicks? Sims? Woods?

Exactly, I would rather forfeit the game than put any player of significance on that field. So you wanna lose some key depth? Let's just cancel the game altogether and forfeit the game. Better yet, let's put some prisoners out on the field and have them get hurt as part of their penance LOL

I'm sure you would. If you can get the roster to do that, I'd question their competitiveness and ask if they were soft.
I'm sure you would.
