The Actual and Real 2017 Texans Talk Mock Draft Extravaganza

My apologies gentlemen (at least maybe a few of you), on missing my pick. I was out filing my taxes to Uncle Sam and getting my roof inspected for hail damage. And yep, wouldn't you know it, over 30% damage....sumbitch!

Oh well, I like the pick of Wilson for corner. I was really hoping the Pitt QB would fall.

Finally Cooper Kupp gets drafted. That dude is an absolute gamer. That might be the most dangerous 4th round WR in the draft.

Dude has absolutely unreal stats when you look them up, you are like, "what the...."

His whole family is a football family and at least one of his family members made it to the HOF I remember reading somewhere a while back.

He's also spent considerable time working with the Mannings at their Manning Camp. He's been a counselor there for multiple years and got to work with the 2 best football QB brothers of all time for that whole time as well.

He reminds me a lot of a Larry Fitzgerald, as long as he doesn't become a Cleveland Brown, I'm excited to see his game on the pro level.

I don't know about the rest of you, I feel like this is a really good draft class in it's totality. If I were to mock draft the Texans, I would have waited until the 4th round to draft a QB. There is one quarter back projected to go within rounds 4-6 that I think will be a franchise QB. And not many people are talking about him.

QB, OT, OLB? Yeah I'd gladly take that this draft.

Yeah, I too am surprised he lasted this long. He's quick. Great pick for any team at this point.

Would of liked a corner but there are too many warts on the ones remaining to warrant a 3rd rounder.

Excellent pick, Siragusa, this guy is a sleeper who was a standout at SDS and he tested almost athletic as Lamp and Bolles.

I agree about the Jags needing OG help, I would nominate Jermaine Eluemunor Texas A&M as an alternative.

With pick #114, Washington selects Cameron Sutton - CB, Tennessee.

Picks thus far in the 4th round, and upcoming picks:

4 (108) Cleveland - @rmartin65 - Trey Hendrickson - EDGE, Florida Atlantic
4 (109) San Francisco - @Lucky - Cooper Kupp - WR, Eastern Washington
4 (110) Jacksonville - [Group Pick] - Danny Isidora - OG, Miami
4 (111) Chicago - @banned1976 - Eddie Jackson - Safety, Alabama
4 (112) LA Rams - @steelbtexan - Alex Anzalone - LB, Florida
4 (113) LA Chargers - @htownfan32 - ArDarius Stewart - WR, Alabama
4 (114) Washington - @Lucky - Cameron Sutton - CB, Tennessee
4 (115) Carolina - @Texan4Ever - on the clock
4 (116) Cincinnati - @mussop -
4 (117) Chicago - @banned1976 -
4 (118) Philadelphia - @beerlover -
4 (119) Arizona - @Shishkabob -

There are still a couple of small school CB's that can play and a couple of talented guys that have injury issues. But pickings are getting slim at CB and the 4th rd hasn't even started yet.

I'm sure that's true, I've only watched a little bit of a few of them.

All of the CBs left that I have watched have some serious warts.

@beerlover - 4 (118) Philadelphia - is on the clock (I've pm'd)

next 5:
4 (119) Arizona - @Shishkabob -
4 (120) Minnesota - @Max -
4 (121) Indianapolis - @jradMIT -
4 (122) Baltimore - @TexansFTW -
4 (123) Washington - @Lucky -

Just a suggestion -- whoever makes the last pick may want to pm the next guy to let him know he's on the clock if you remember to. Hopefully lighten the load on the guys that have been moving this along nicely.

Eagles need trench enforcement to improve running lanes and pass pro. With that said Eagles select Texas A&M tackle, who can kick inside, Jermaine Eluemunor. 6-4 332 34 reps practiced against Myles Garrett.

4 (119) Arizona - @Shishkabob - On the clock.

I just googled "best slot receiver" and google suggested the next word should be "prostitutes". WTH google!? I was looking for the word "prospects".

I have to admit, there's been some pretty good players in this round. Offense is beginning to do a little better than defense, after getting trounced in the early rounds. There's still one position I think is loaded with NFL contributors.

With the 115th pick in the 4th Round the Panthers select...

Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma

@mussop you're on the clock!

Almost took Perine in the 3rd for the Packers but rolled the dice that he would be available in the 4th. Perine is a perfect compliment for Montgomery and would feast on the small boxes that teams put on the field against Rodgers.

Have we shut down for the weekend already?

I think we decided last weekend to keep the clock running on weekends but not sure on that. Others can chime in on that. As for now we are not shut down quite yet. Arizona's clock is just about up so time to start discussing a group pick. This is what ARZ has so far...

1) Mike Williams - WR, Clemson
2) Cordrea Tankersley - CB, Clemson
3) Davis Webb - QB, California

I nominate Rayshawn Jenkins (S, Miami). Arizona loves to use 3-Safety sets in their Nickel package and they lost 2 Safeties to FA this year so they need to reload.

I would nominate JJ Dielman OL Utah. The Cards are very thin on the o-line and Dielman can play multiple positions.

Thanks guys for keeping the mock going

Rams LB corps of

Barwin/Ogletree/Anzalone/Quinn in a Wade Phillips defense is the makings of great things when Goff is ready in a couple of yrs and makes HC's take notice next yr.

Anzalone is a Clay Matthews Clone. All he needs to do is stay healthy. Which is why he's still available now. (Well worth the risk. IMHO)

If he gets hurt you lose a 4th rd pick. If he stays healthy you get a 1st rd talent.

Center Joe Berger is 34 years old and he’s an UFA next year – he was the lone bright spot on the Vikings OL last year, but depth is needed here and they would like to find his eventual replacement.

Vikings select center Tyler Orlosky, West Virginia

orlosky.jpg

Team captain and 3 year starter. Power to stand up to NFL nose guards and plays with a mean streak. NFL.com’s bottom line: “Lack of lateral quickness isn’t a big enough weakness to prevent him from making a living as an NFL starter.”

@jradMIT– is on the clock (not sure when pick is due by though)
@TexansFTW 4 (122) Baltimore –is on deck
