Amy Palcic was such a key player for the Texans organization in so many facets that most do not know. She was the one that helped smoothed over Bob McNair's "inmates" comment firestorm. She was 90% responsible for the PR and promotion of Watt's Hurricane Harvey campaign (while Watt offered mostly his name) which was originally expected to raise only a fraction of the $37 million that was ultimately collected. She also accompanied Watt New York after arranging his appearance on SNL. Those in the know feel that there is a Communications Director position in her future...........not for another team..........but for one of the professional leagues.The sports media, former and even one current NFL player (JJ Watt) is either baffled or furious over the Texans firing Amy Palcic. Apparently she is much more than just a PR rep for a lot of people in the business.

I thought with his versatility, Stills would have rotated between the slot and outside positions to keep Cooks, Cobb and Fuller fresh, but he's basically disappeared from the offense. He has 10 catches for 138 yards and the worst catch rate among WRs.
To his credit, I haven't seen him pouting and he always seems to be enthusiastically supporting his teammates, but at what point do we put Kenny Stills on a milk carton?

Excellent points. Regarding incompetence. As mentioned previously, Texas is a RTW state. Was it necessary to mention "cultural fit"? Why not simply say, new direction or something similar? It is definitely stacked in the employers favor but speaking as a union steward for 20+ years in Texas that sat in on over 100 federal mediations I would say that close to 35% of the people that got fired got their job back & probably around 20% also got back pay.
The documentation required by an employer to terminate an employee for no cause makes it highly unlikely. Especially the higher up the food chain you goSo unions can force employees on employers that employers dont want they want to fire and they can do this in the State of Texas?

But the last two years have been a ninja whirlwind of bad decisions - the extensions of mid-range players to overvalued contracts, the trades of any and all draft capitol for players of questionable value/performance, the weird firings (yeah the PR lady is included, but Olsen sticks out even more and for me), the absolute most concerning is turning the entire franchise into the 'Cult of Easterby' it's just downright strange.
