I think this might be a case of Fallacy by Association.
We don't know how much contribution guys like O'Brien and Nick Caserio had in those SB teams.
Let's take a look at Caserio first stint as Director of Pro Personel between 2004-2007.
The Pats went to the SB twice and won one.
Pioli was the VP of Player Personel and the only guy listed as top dog in that department.

Given how Belichik is known to be controlling, with Pioli pretty much as the GM, how much involvement/credit can be given to Caserio?

As an example of association, Osweiler may have a SB ring and even contributed a little during the regular season (his record with the Broncos was 5-2).
Does that automatically make him a good QB?
