I am in favor of this change, and I really like going back to 15 minutes. 10 is too short.
Doesn't matter when the refs continue to suck at spotting the ballIt's about time. They've had this available for years, but the NFL did not want to put forth the extra cost.

NFL sets 2025 salary cap at record $279.2M total
NFL teams were informed Thursday that the 2025 salary cap has been set at a record $279.2 million per team.www.espn.com
They're gonna have to overpay to get players especially up thereTexans currently at 4.9M…..Patriots at 129M. NE will be in the cat bird seat with their draft position and available cap.
It's not going to take Wolf/Vrabel as long as many think for the Pats to rebuild. It would really help if one of Carter or Hunter fell to them.Texans currently at 4.9M…..Patriots at 129M. NE will be in the cat bird seat with their draft position and available cap.
I'm not against bringing in Slayton depending on the cost.
WR prices scare me. I could see a team giving him a Christian Kirk type contract which is way too much for what you could “potentially” get.I'm not against bringing in Slayton depending on the cost.
4-115@steelbtexan what would you give up for Mayer? Would be an ND reunion of sorts with Patterson and Fisher on the OL and Mayer at TE. All they’d need to do next is go get Kyren Williams to play RB!

Raiders Shopping TE Michael Mayer, RB Zamir White
The Raiders could look to move on from a pair of former draft picks. Read more on Pro Football Rumors.www.profootballrumors.com
Deebo went for a 5th as did Amari Cooper and you want to give up a 4th for Mayer?4-115
or
4-115 for Mayer and the Raiders 5th
I believe due to Mayer's low contract the Raiders might even get a 3rd for him. But most likely a 4th. It's a late 4th, which is essentially a 5th.Deebo went for a 5th as did Amari Cooper and you want to give up a 4th for Mayer?
If Texans are more cap conscous and focused on development to improve the team this offseason as stated here…
Why is Oakland considering losing this low cost gem?If Texans are more cap conscous and focused on development to improve the team this offseason as stated here…
Mayer would make sense as a talented player on a rookie contract. And who better to develop him than the new OC who happens to be a long time TE coach?
We know Caserio will go get a player if the coaches want them. If Mayer is truly available and Caley wants him, Nick will go get him.
Probably a change in offensive focus with new system. Want to spread field out more instead of 2 TE heavy sets. Why is Oakland considering losing this low cost gem?
And worth every penny!
or maybe he isn't that goodProbably a change in offensive focus with new system. Want to spread field out more instead of 2 TE heavy sets.
Mayer is never going to play over Bowers and if they can add to their WR or RB room then it’s better for their team.
Yep. You'd think if Mayer was all that the Raiders would have selected help on the OL or CB instead of doubling up on TEor maybe he isn't that good
A lot of people (rightfully so) wanted the Texans to take a WR with their first round pick in last year’s draft due to the strength of the class. Despite already having two promising WRs on the roster in Nico/Tank.Yep. You'd think if Mayer was all that the Raiders would have selected help on the OL or CB instead of doubling up on TE
Not the same at all, but you know that.A lot of people (rightfully so) wanted the Texans to take a WR with their first round pick in last year’s draft due to the strength of the class. Despite already having two promising WRs on the roster in Nico/Tank.
Care to explain? Or did you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed and decide to be argumentative this morning? Not the same at all, but you know that.
Your going to have up to 5 WR's on the field at the same time. Having 2 promising (1 coming off broken leg, the other with just 1 relatively healthy season) is not near enough. Mayer was selected with pick 35 just the year before. If he was all that as steelb claims, Raiders wouldn't have passed on highly regarded OL and CB to take another TE @ 13. Bowers was not the only top talent available. Look at it without hindsight. They obviously did not the Mayer was the long term answerCare to explain? Yep, the Texans wouldn't be where they're at today if they had just picked BTJ , McConkey last yr.A lot of people (rightfully so) wanted the Texans to take a WR with their first round pick in last year’s draft due to the strength of the class. Despite already having two promising WRs on the roster in Nico/Tank.
Bowers was the best offensive player at Georgia winning two national titles there… and he was the first player to win the John Mackey award back to back seasons as the nation’s top TE… and he fell to pick 13. Value is just too good to pass up sometimes.
