I was watching "4th And Loud" on AMC about the KISS football team, and former Texans LB Shawn Loiseau plays for the L.A. Kiss.
oh yeah, that's reeeeally gonna hurt a guy making $19,200,000 per season.
hmmm.... $19,200,000 / 659 passing attempts = $29,135.05
Just think, he drops back to pass two or three or four times and makes more than the average American in a year.

Sounded phony to me too. I could see it being genuine if he were to retire day 5 years ago when he was still good. Either way guy did a lot as an unheralded player. I'm sure his eye sockets' retirement statement would have read like this
'I am just glad we never have to get out face broken Duane brown.'

Even if it wasn't, why not make the money?
If I were JJ, another reason I would have signed SAM (apart from being a decent prospect & the market he opens... actually I'm pretty sure the Cowboys have always been in that market) is that he'll take quite a bit of attention off Tony Romo. He's scrutinized way too much.
This should help Romo focus more on his craft than the media.
