NFL Random Thought of the Day

Dolphins considering benching Tannehill. Backup is Matt Moore.

Per reporter Armando Salguero, a change "is not certain," but a real possibility. Coach Joe Philbin was simultaneously blunt and evasive in Monday's presser, declining to say he was planning to bench Tannehill, but also refusing any opportunity to throw a lifeline his quarterback's way. Tannehill has regressed instead of progressing this season, but the Dolphins would be better off committing to the run instead of going with backup Matt Moore. Tannehill is struggling, but he's still easily the Dolphins' best bet to manage games.

#Bucs QB coach Marcus Arroyo has been heavily involved in game-planning, and he’s the one in the QB’s ear. With no Tedford, his role grows.

#Bucs OC Jeff Tedford is taking a leave from the team, as his medical condition has not improved, I’m told. They want him completely healthy

Fairly certain Rob Ryan will once again be looking for another job

Pretty sure it'll take longer than "5 minutes" for him to land another DC gig. Overrated sow titty

Broncos releasing K Matt Prater, who's coming off 4-game suspension, per source. Brandon McManus wins Denver kicking job.

2015 NFL Draft will be held in Chicago next April 30-May 2 at Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University.

Jets and Eagles fans will be allowed to watch the draft in the street. :kitten:

Unbelievably, this is the second surgery for Jairus Byrd with #Saints — knee & back in the spring. His contract was $54M over 6 years.

Not what that defense needed RT @TheSaintsBeat: Safety Jairus Byrd tore his lateral meniscus and will go on season ending IR, per Payton.

Rumor I heard was that Thompkins has been fighting constantly with the offensive staff about playing time and they've finally had enough.

Bernard Pollard sustained an Achilles rupture Sunday. After he led the Titans in tackles last year, he now finds himself on the IR surprisingly for the first time in his career.

Get well, my man!

I'm not going to make fun of those Cowboys for the foreseeable future. As a Texans fan I have no basis. They beat us and today beat the Champs in their own back yard. FML. :choke:

That Kubiak offense is old, dated, & too predictable.
You mean the offense that Flacco used to score five passing TDs and put up 300+ yds passing...?
the offense in which our former backup, Justin Forset gained 111 yds on 14 carries?
...that old, dated, predictable offense??

meh... they were playing the Buccs so it doesn't count.
:)

having a qb that can execute it makes a big difference

Yep, but Kubiak handpicked Schaub. BTW, Flacco does well against the Bucs. Put him against Cincy's defense and you will get a truer test of Kubiak's offense.

Maybe... Cincy's defense has given up 80 pts over the past two games. Trust me, I thought like you and have them for my fantasy defense. Except for the Tenn win, they haven't done squat in a month.
Hell, our defense is better.

I'm dropping their azz at 12:01AM Tuesday morning

Jets top 3 CBs going into season were Dee Milliner, Dimitri Patterson, Dexter McDougle. All 3 now done, in their own way, for the season.

Despite two serious injuries (Jerod Mayo, Stevan Ridley), don’t expect the #Patriots to make any roster moves today, even with short week

Redskins coach doesn't like how Cousins is playing, so he benches him for McCoy and they win. We have to wait till the season is over to make that kind of change. :smiliepalm:

They did, he fired him.

The Denver Post reports that police say Broncos safety John Boyett “drunkenly head-butted and punched a cab driver, stole a shovel from a construction site then tried to hide from officers by covering himself in mulch” before being arrested. Once arrested Boyett allegedly repeatedly slammed his head into a police car window while yelling and spitting and told officers to contact his boss John Elway.

This dude
