Is that normal in a given season, or are there some changes about to come down?

Six retired last season..........most long standing..............~6 (mostly outlier)-25 seasons. But three of those opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID, and one of those that came had to sit out the 2021 season due to an unspecified inury.

Kyler Murray has unfollowed the Cardinals on Instagram and Twitter. Trying to figure out what that accomplished. Guess this millennial did not get his 1st place participation ribbon.

All you gotta do is throw a hissy fit on social media and you’ll be traded to a team with a better chance at winning the Super Bowl! See: Beckham, Odell and Ramsey, Jalen

New Orleans Saints Running Back Alvin Kamara was arrested Sunday afternoon after his Pro Bowl appearance for an incident that we now know started early Saturday morning at Drai’s nightclub at the Cromwell Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. On Friday night, Ludacris performed to a massive crowd at the popular nightclub, known as a hot spot for NFL Players and a place where fights frequently break out. Police report that the incident took place near the elevators and the victim has a fracture in his right eye and other minor injuries. Key to the report is the fact that police say the surveillance video from the casino matches the victim’s story. The victim was interviewed in the hospital later that evening around 5:50pm on Saturday, according to police.

According to Kamara, he was waiting for the elevator with his girlfriend, his assistant and some friends, when the victim allegedly called one of his friends “ugly.” Kamara said he saw the victim get punched and then he threw some punches because he thought the victim was running away and had done something to his group. Police say that the video disputes Kamara’s account and showed the victim not running away but instead getting pushed by Kamara, then punched by Kamara’s associate and then Kamara “immediately attacked” the victim, throwing several more punches, according to police. Others in the group allegedly joined the attack, stomping the victim’s face and body.

Based on the surveillance video, witness statements and “Kamara’s admissions” and the victim’s injuries, police say they arrested Kamara for battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Attorney for former Commanders employee calls new investigation a “sham”
Posted by Michael David Smith on February 9, 2022, 11:34 AM EST

Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder says he’s hiring people to conduct an “independent” investigation of allegations brought by former team employee Tiffani Johnston. But Johnston’s attorney isn’t buying it.

Attorney Lisa Banks released a statement today calling the investigation a sham.

“The idea that Dan Snyder has hired a team to investigate his own actions is utterly absurd,” Banks wrote. “This is a desperate public relations stunt, clearly designed to absolve him of wrongdoing. Our client, Tiffani Johnston, already testified credibly to Congress about her experience of being sexually harassed by Mr. Snyder. Her powerful testimony was corroborated by an eye witness who submitted a statement to Congress. If there is to be any investigation of Ms. Johnston’s allegations, it should be conducted by Beth Wilkinson and her team, who have spent the better part of the last year investigating the actions of Mr. Snyder and his top lieutenants. The fact is that Mr. Snyder has gone to great lengths to conceal the truth and his retention of this team is just his latest effort to paint a false picture of his behavior. If, as Mr. Snyder claims today, he genuinely wanted the truth about his actions to emerge, he would have embraced the public release of Ms. Wilkinson’s findings. Instead, he worked with the NFL to block the release of the Wilkinson report. And now, he has handpicked new investigators to do what apparently the Wilkinson report did not do – sugarcoat his own actions. Ms. Johnston will not participate in this sham of an investigation, and the public will not be duped into believing that this is anything other than Dan Snyder trying to whitewash his own misconduct.”

Johnston told Congress last week that Snyder placed his hand on her leg and left it there until she moved it away during a group dinner, and that Snyder tried after the dinner to get her into his limousine.

Dan Snyder has hired the "independent" investigative team, led by former Asst. U.S. Attorneys Bonnie Jonas and Tiffany Moller of Pallas Global Group LLC, to look into allegations made last week by Tiffani Johnston.

Bottom line is I bet this dude doesn't call anybody ugly while he's waiting on an elevator again.

I'd assume it's what he's told to do by his agent to get people in Arizona up in arms about the idea of him leaving in an attempt to accelerate a contract extension. Get people calling sports talk in Phoenix and on twitter, etc saying to pay him.

Seems a not uncommon tactic nowadays.

That's what I suspected..........his extension being his participation ribbon. Doesn't he know that his NFLPA negotiated a 5th year option?

The NFL has told Snyder that an "independent" investigation will be performed by the NFL, not his team..............the proceedings will do the dirty work of ridding the NFL of Snyder...............while trying to sidestep the NFL's part in irresponsibly whitewashing the NFL's obvious attempt at whitewashing facts of the previous "investigation."

Deandre Hopkins, after only missing 2 games in his first 8 seasons, missed 7 games last season for a hamstring, followed by a knee injury. His knee injury was a grade III rupture of his MCL. After attempting some conservative treatment, he has undergone MCL repair.

Does that speak well of our strength and conditioning coaches?

Or is he just getting old?

Don't know if it's either. It was Hopkins own disrespect for his hamstring. Oct 25, he sustained a Grade I hamstring tear, but decided to come back Oct 28, only 3 days following his injury. At that time, he sustained a hamstring injury extension to Grade II. He then rehabbed for only 3 weeks, a very short time for a hamstring re-injury. He returned to play 2 games, at which in the 2nd game, he sustained a total rupture of his MCL. Impatience with a hamstring injury will commonly result in subsequent injury to the lower extremity.

Below are the P/O records for all NFL teams for the current century which of course includes the entire P/O history of our Houston Texans.
To my surprise our little NFL franchise here in Houston has more P/O wins (4 vs. 3) during the 21st century than any other NFL team in the state.
Who knew ?

According to Murray, it's always the "other guy." The Cards aren't going to release or trade Murray.............they'd have to also fire their head coach who is attached to the hip.
Just yesterday they were seen as revolutionary, forward thinking, & a model of the future of the NFL.

not for long
