Maybe they won't talk about it until tomorrow. That's my guess. By tomorrow evening I predict our Texans will be a whole lot better offensively.

I just hope the deal is done and not like those news agencies that reported deals where done with Bently who was rumored to sign with Philly or David Givens rumored to resign with that Pats before he showed up in houston and to find out either deal was done.

Both players signed with other teams.

I don't know much about the Bently deal but the Givens thing came up out of nowhere, and nobody was expecting it. We have been talking to Moulds and nobody is really suprised if we don't get him. I'm excited. There's still a chance that this is all premature though, but I'm going to go to bed tonight thinking we have Eric Moulds.

I hope this goes on for another day just so we can get this thread to 1000. I wonder what would happen if we were discussing a trade for Antonio Gates or Brian Ulacher.

I'm loving the thought of a Johnson, Moulds, Bush/D.Davis threat next year. Throw in Mathis, Walker and Putzier and we have some fire power folks. :drool:
 
yeah unfortunetly the season doesn't start for another 5 months but look on the bright side...atleast from now til then the texans brass have done so much to improve this team that we are actually looking like a competitive team in the offseason and have a chance to surprise a lot of people especially if the moulds trade happens
 
37 pages, way too many to check, but I wonder what we'll give up for him? A 4th or 5th rounder sounds about right, but with casserly's history I wouldn't be surprised if it was something stupid like a 2nd ;)

Is it too crazy to talk playoffs? I mean at the beginning of last year we all thought it might be a possibility. We are a much better team now.

Moulds Done Deal to Texans

Hi folks. Local 2 sports has been in contact with people close to the Eric Moulds negotiations with the Eagles. Late Wednesday afternoon The "WIP" sports radio station in Philly is reporting that Moulds and his agent have come to terms with the Texans on a contract extension. Now both the Texans and Bills are working out details on a trade that will get him to Houston.

More tonight on KPRC Local 2 Sports at 10

I don't think it's crazy. I don't think we'll be a playoff team next year, but I sure damn well think we'll be in the running during the later parts of the year. I'll wait to see how our draft goes, but a 5, 6 or even 7 game improvement doesn't seem like a stretch the way this offseason is going. I've been antsy for baseball season to start, but my gosh, NFL offseason is already long enough. With these moves, I don't know how I'm going to last through the summer. :redtowel:
