HOUSTON Hurricane Ike left nearly 2 million homes in the dark. Since Saturday, CenterPoint Energy has been working non-stop to return power to their customers. As of Wednesday, they had been able get power back to 750,000 customers, which is 38% of there customers.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. On Wednesday, CenterPoint finished assessing the power damage obtained from Hurricane Ike and put together the following projected timeline by zip code.
The following zip codes are estimated to have substantial power restoration by the end of day on Friday, September 19:

The path of the eye crosses Galveston and then is hugging the western side of Galveston Bay, meaning that it moves slightly east of downtown Houston...
How far north does the green blob extend? Another reference would be how far north is the isolated orange blob? I can see the coast, I just am not good at seeing where the inland stuff falls.

Does anybody know when they are going to start charging tolls again? The Westpark tollway is jammed up because everyone and their brother is using it since it's free right now.
