FIRE O'BRIEN NOW!!!

Moving the goal posts yet again. based on this run chart you posted...kinda seems like it doesn't matter where we run it doesn't it? The only reason we are ranked #11 in rushing is b/c of the 30-40 yds DW4 gets from scrambling every game. No matter what you use, the limiting factor of this offense is clear..the o-line. Hell even using that trash DVOA metric its apparent what's dragging the offense down.

Pretty sure I, and others, have posted that in every game thread thus far. If we can see that’s not working, OC should too.

At least the Kubiak standard draw on 3rd and long is history.
3rd and 15... Draw
3rd and 25!... DRAW

It was all but guaranteed.

That said.. Kubes has a ring sooo, something worked.

# one of the best DC's that wasn't even his first choice. But hey it worked out and it couldn't have happen to a better guy.

He's helping Elway run the Broncos and I hope he does well.

5 years+ of trying and O’Brien still can’t get a single win against New England. Mike Vrable goes on to be a head coach and beats them on his first try.

Let that sink in...

Also let it sink in that they played them at home.......and they caught NE going into the bye week ........after they came off a big game against GB i.e. trap/let down game.....and that Gronkowski and their starting LT was were not playing/healthy.....

Also, let sink in that we had them in their house too last year. Up by a score, in the 4th quarter, before your hero decided to just bend over as he always does before Belichick. At least Vrable has a pair of balls and doesn’t think HE is the offense and actually hired an offensive coordinator!

What happened to his balls against the Bills and Dolphins this year? Vrabel's balls..........that you admire soooo much, costs them against the chargers in London this year.....so apparently he does think he's the offense too.

Tenn's defense didn't give up 30+ pts today like ours did last year....Even this year...giving the Pats 27 at home is a death sentence....
& Playing the Pats in Foxboro..........where they managed to hand KC their only loss & beat the best qb in the game just last week....is an entirely different animal than playing them in the comforts of your own stadium..like the Jags and Titties got them this year.

Try to keep up..

Please explain how Belichick won 10 games with Cassel at QB. What was Jimmy G's record when Brady was out? I seem to remember Belichick kicking the Texans butts with a 3rd string QB. (Brissett)

Cassell also had a playoff season leading the Chiefs to the playoffs with Todd Haley. Garroppolo led a terrible 49ers team to like 7 straight wins. Look at Belicheck's record before Brady and he never did zilch.

Brady has been in the top 3 to top 5 of pretry much every passing statistic for like 12 or 13 straight years leading elite offense after another with all these different receivers where their team carries Belicheck's broken defenses all the time. Hell, Belicheck single handily cost them a SB last season and against the Broncos in the AFC championship game. Brady has been 10 times the player that Bill has been as a coach. Not even disputable when you lead an elite offense every season and are in the MVP hunt every season while Bill's defenses are average at best. Bill has become the most overrated defensive specialist of all time.

oh lookie, Brady & the Pats going for it on a 4th and goal & passing the ball instead of running....& it failed!...Belichick is a horrible coach!:sarcasm:

What an idiotic post.

Bill and Mcdaniels were total morons on that drive ans xould have cost their team the game with those back to back pass plays on the goal line on extremely low % pass conversion plays. They blew the offense's chance to get at least 3 points as well. Terrible example to try and defend O.B. with.

How did it haunt us? Did we lose?

:)

Six in a row... and this one... AT Denver. One more win and we will have matched a team from 1925 in wins after a 0-3 start. If not... only THREE teams have done what we have done in the entire history of the NFL.

*happily and sloppily kisses your pimply ass*

STFU AND SIT YO ASS DOWN and have a beer or sumthin’

WHOOOOOOOO GO TEXANS!!!

How did it haunt us? Them having a opportunity to close out the game when our 3 points could have made that obsolete instead of wrecklessly trying to go for it with the worst Oline in the NFL in short yardage. Are you really that ignorant that you didn't comprehend that from the game? The kicker for the Broncs blew it, so O.B. coached a great game and nothing is up for discussion right? Go back to The Hills Have Eyes dude.

Irrational Homers on this site are always amusing.

="Mr teX, post: 2880104, member: 8329"]That's the kind of the point moron.[QUOTE/]

Irrational is repeatedly trying to go down a list of coaches making the same bad decision that yielded the same result and still arguing for it. Actually its the definition of insanity

You calling people a moron while defending two failed plays from two HC's and the justification for OB is that Belicheck did it too when it was just as bad for him? Lol!

WTH are you even talking about? The point is even the best screw it up weekly let alone Bob who clearly isn't in that group.

You're doubling down on poor logic and bad coaching instead of just saying he screwed up on that call and hopefully doesn't do it again where it could haunt the team. You can still like the guy for crying out loud.

Vrabel was here for a lot of those losses over the past few years including the one last year where he was DC, maybe what he learned from those were a part of his win today. I think we can beat NE if we play them again.

Tell me who was the last HC to lead the Browns to the playoffs and who was his QB?

Great HC.

Arguably the greatest

What the Browns have done as a franchise has nothing to do with what Bill did or didn't do like 20 yrs ago. The fact is he's never had any real success as a HC without Tom Brady. Does it still make him the best and most accomplished HC of all time? Sure, but just like Walsh its because he had Brady to do the impossible at the end of games like Walsh had Montana and Reeves had Elway. Pats are in AFC championship or SB every yr, because Tom is always executing on either the final drive or dominating the 4th quarters of playoff games in those tight close nail biters. Go look up his playoff stats and they'll blow your mind when you see all the extra weight thats been on Brady's shoulders compared to any other QB in history and what he's asked to do.

I think BB/Brady are GOAT's and both would be great without each other but probably not GOAT's.

Call me what you will but I never said that “O’Brein coached a great game” nor would I perpetuate an illusion like that.

:)

Truth is... it doesn’t matter. It’s like this... Demaryius Thomas almost cost us the game with his penalty. Jordan Thomas dropped a sure end zone catch. Kelemente missed a game changing block. JoJo didn’t play, Etc etc. It’s all in the eye of the beholder. Bottom line... we won the football game. That doesn’t make me a homer. It means I am a fan who is enjoying his team’s winning streak.

is that what the actual data shows? In any event, the contention is that we run the ball up the middle and on 1st down every first down. Pretty sure that us running the ball on 1st down like that is not 100%. I'm also pretty damn confident that most teams' offenses run the ball on 1st down at a pretty high clip as well...Just an educated guess on my part though.
I would guess that you are right about teams running a lot on first downs but I don't think they do it as consistently and predictably on first and second downs as much as coach BO'b does. I would like to see more play action passes come off of those runs. Especially when our run game is going well.

I don't read too much into the Broncos game being that our offense had some key injuries and had a new receiver that had barely been a member of our team. I am thinking the comfort level BO'b was building with Will Fuller V would have shown in the form of a more aggressive offense against the Broncos if Will was not gone due to injury.

Yes I am with most on this board that finds that coach BO'b has been way too conservative but I think he would've followed up that aggressive offense we saw the game Will Fuller got hurt with more of the same had Will stayed healthy. I would bet that once Bill feels comfortable with Demaryius Thomas and he has KeKe Coutee back and gains confidence in what he brings we will see the offense open up a bit more. It would lead to interesting match ups between our offense and the top defenses.

What makes you a homer is your jolt to scream and yell at anybody who criticizes the way that the team plays or the way that the coach calls a game. You could easily disagree with what I originally said, but you got outraged by content and with a "how dare you" response to my frustration to OB's game calling. And for the record I've been a pretty strong OB supporter for the most part. He's had a long time to do get his **** together at this point though, and he shouldn't still be learning on the job like he's a first year coach. He's proven time and time again now that he's average at best and seems incapable of evolving.
