Idk. I think yall are under valuing Savage's grasp of the offense.

Imo I’d say rogers is one of the all time greats. Him and brees having only one ring each tells me how difficult it is to win in the NFL……unless your name is Tom Brady of courseI 100% agree with you about Rodgers. He reminds me of Peyton Manning. Great regular season QB but lousy playoff QB.

That may be one of the silliest comments I've read anywhereAnother thing Rodgers IMO is not an all time great either.

You don't win 4 MVP awards without being an all time great. The only player in history that has that many or more is Peyton Manning. I guess you don't think he's an all time great either?
No lie. JJ was robbed.Rogers should only have 3 MVP awards.
I will die on that hill.
Doesn't change the fact that he is an all time greatRogers should only have 3 MVP awards.
I will die on that hill.
Rogers should only have 3 MVP awards.
I will die on that hill.
Me too!Still got a ring, so he's proven he can have 4 good games in a row against the best teams in the playoffs.
No lie. JJ was robbed.
You will not die there alone.
Rodgers and Manning were great regular season QBs. Not so much in the playoffs. How many times did Rodgers choke after earning home field advantage in the playoffs? That may be one of the silliest comments I've read anywhere

I agree with this part... he did study under Farve after allI think he's an arrogant jerk.
Just as good in the clutch.Me too!
Sincerely,
Trent Dilfer, Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien, Joe Flacco. Eli manning won 2. Must make him better than Rodgers.
I think Mills is better than we have seen up to this point Even with that being said it is not saying much.Dude you crack me up!
We need to drink sometime when I’m visiting Texas!
You could put in stroud right now no practice and he’d be better than mills
No question
I think Mills is better than we have seen up to this point Even with that being said it is not saying much.
Stroud has the potential to be special and no matter when he starts he will be ready.
He probably has a higher S2 score though.I don’t know man, Mills looks fine one moment then couldn’t make a play if his life depended on it.
Falls apart under pressure.
Doesn’t light any fire under his teammates with his leadership.
Pass
He probably has a higher S2 score though.![]()
And he probably would look better without constant pressure in his face from up the middle. Not to mention the better weapons that Stroud will have around him. Not saying he will be good or even as good as Stroud. Just saying Mills really never stood a chance with the coaching staff/weapons around him.
I admit I was wrong about Pep Hamilton. Some want to blame Lovie, but Pep had every reason to want to stay in Texas & he trotted out a crappy offense.Just saying Mills really never stood a chance with the coaching staff/weapons around him.
You know Mills sucks right?
Yes he trotted out crappy offense but if Mills was able to make simple plays. His offense wouldn’t look so crappy.I admit I was wrong about Pep Hamilton. Some want to blame Lovie, but Pep had every reason to want to stay in Texas & he trotted out a crappy offense.
You know he only played 14 games in college?

....for the Texans in 2021 and 2022, who wouldn't suck? Smart and strong veteran QB's wouldn't touch this team, during those 2 years, with a 10' pole.....much like HC'ing candidates. Are you under the impression that the Texans provided Mills the best development opportunity in the NFL?
I'm not sold that Mills won't make a decent NFL starter. Most of them aren't very good.I was a Mills guy the last two seasons. I really rooted for him to succeed. I saw the potential and was willing to take the losing - because the entire team was bad - if we saw the development from Mills into a legit starter. And I get that he had two different offenses and not a lot of support. But what got me to the point where I was ready to move on was two things: only really looking consistently capable when the game was out of hand, and throwing to 10-foot tall receivers. That last one had nothing to do with coaches, schemes or surrounding talent.

But yes, a QB that's over his head will look better when the game is out of reach. Teams usually stop throwing new things at them. & play prevent or something.
We drafted CJ, the Texans are moving on. But I don't see why it would be a problem if the Texans had two capable QBs.
Mills needs a ten-foot talll receiver. With the lack of weapons around him it wouldn't have mattered. After all Chris Moore was his WR1 for most of the yr. Chris Freaking Moore. LMAO
Where you been bro I posted this on yesterday. LolWell that didn’t take long:

C.J. Stroud working with first-team offense and is "way, way ahead of pace"

And even then both the offense and defense will be vanillaIt's nice to hear about players doing well in OTAs and minicamps, but there's rainbows and unicorns this time of year. Hard to know what's real. We will see come preseason.

Nope,Sounds like excuses.
I think eventually Stroud will be a QB that can get you to the playoffs. You can't win a championship with him.
What has he ever won?Huh???
What has he ever won?
Big 10 championship?
National championship?

Stetson Bennett won the past two National titles. Why wasn't he picked first?
How many National titles did Danny Wuerful win at Florida (hint, one) and how many did Peyton Manning win at Tennessee (hint, ZERO)? Whom would you rather have?
How many National titles did Patrick Mahomes win? How about Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, and Joe Montana?
You have been watching football for decades. Yet, in the ultimate team sport. You either give all credit or all blame to the QB. No nuance or shades of gray to your opinion. It's all black or white.Difference is he's played with championship level talent around him and couldn't even win a Big 10 championship, much less a NC.
The QB is the leader of the team. I prefer winners to lead the team. It's not all on the QB just like it's not all on the coaches. But after time trends start to develop, where some of the best QB's don't perform well under pressure. Guys like McNabb for example. You have been watching football for decades. Yet, in the ultimate team sport. You either give all credit or all blame to the QB. No nuance or shades of gray to your opinion. It's all black or white.
If a QB you like throws for 70 yards and wins a game, he is clutch and a winner. If a QB you dislike throws for 300 yards, leads his team on a late drive, goes to the sideline with 50 seconds left and his defense gives up a game winning TD, it's the QB's fault for losing the game.
At this point. I don't think the daily back and forth you engaged in is to change your mind. It's posters trying to make sense of a biased, illogical opinion. It's the ultimate rabbit hole. Good work sir.
