Al Shaair Suspension

The NFL considered him the instigator
This is why you have so many comments about inconsistency about the punishment. To say he was the instigator after he was hit from behind post play and then mobbed comes across as disingenuous. If they punished him solely for the hit then that is one thing but they specifically mentioned the post hit activities in the ruling. Those should be applied to all involved.

Players hits opposing QB on opposing sideline with a dirty hit. Fan questions why opposing sideline is upset and takes up for their QB. One might say Demeco would be upset if it happened to CJ and his team didn’t respond.

Such a drama queen. Don’t remember this same outrage when Tom Savage was on the field having an outright seizure b/c of a hit he took….the NFL and fans like u are a joke at times.
Funny I don’t remember it from you either. You were questioning why Savage was even starting.

His comments were like Hannibal Lechter critiquing someone for having pork n beans for a side dish.
😬
Man up. Take your punishment like a man. You did the crime which was far more like Haaibal Lechter on the field, not take your punishment. The entire purpose is to send this fool a clear and concise message that you have been made an example of. Sorry if it hurt your feelings but I loved it.

I am not saying they should not, what I am saying is that if the league is going to use that specific action to add additional time to a penalty, which they stated, then it needs to be applied equally to both parties. Being consistent matters when you have the power to hand out judgement.

The biggest punishment you can give is forcing those players to play next week for the Jags. They are awful.

Are you saying you wishes he sustains another concussion because of the Al Shaair suspension?
I'm saying if the NFL aren't going to be fair in suspensions and the Texans are going to be portrayed as villains they should embrace the role and start knocking QBs any time they get a chance head knees etc...

If I am understanding Steelb correctly he isn't saying he wants anyone injured.

Simply that if we are going to be treated like the villains we may as well earn it.

Not sure I want us to be the villains but, sure beats being known for letterman jackets.
He implied he wanted Tua concussed again.

He implied he wanted Tua concussed again.
He implied it or you assumed it?

Just cause someone says if people think we are the villains we may as well act like it is not the same as wishing harm on people.

I can want my teams D to "hurt" the guys on the opposing team. It doesn't mean I want people injured.

Its a contact sport, Id MUCH rather an opposing team fear the week they see us knowing its going to hurt. Doesn't mean I want any of the opposing team to end up on IR by games end.

So, absolutely I WANT my defense to be aggressive. You can assume such a statement "implies" I want someone concussed.

OR since this is a medium for communication ASK someone to clarify their point rather than go by your own assumption on their intent.

I tune in to watch a contact sport, not tea time with the queen. It doesn't mean I want blood and careers ended. Im sure Steelb doesn't either.

I bolded the part for you where he says the players should start knocking the QB in the head, knees. Again, this denial is toxic. Hopefully you read that statement again.

None of this addresses that The Texans have benefitted from him not being suspended prior to now for multiple infractions. The league may have been too lenient. Caserio has no right to complain.

You have a natural attraction to losers so I’ll let you have that. Grown ass men acting like toddlers. Demeco is a coward.
All season, you've been calling DeMeco a coward. Do you feel the same way about Caserio?

What denial? I just see intent of his post rather than get into my feelings over it.

In other words.... do what villains do.

He didn't say... "pick them up and pile drive them... make sure they are F'ed up".

Every hit to the head doesn't result in concussion. Every hit to the knee doesn't lead to serious injury.

IF they treat your team dirty, may as well enjoy the benefits of being a dirty team... rather than being a clean team, but punished/treated like you're dirty. Then there is no up side for your team.

I don't have to agree with it or desire it to see the logic in "being what they want you to be."

The NFL seems more and more like the WWE and not everyone is the hero.

It is incredibly naive to pretend like there aren't 31 other teams out there that look for even the slightest edge that risks injury to a player that pushes the envelope of "legal". Its not the same as desiring injuries.

All 32 teams are and will continue to push the envelope on a system where the rules are seemingly selectively enforced and arbitrarily punished.

True

I believe what I believe because I don't like where the NFL is headed. You disagree with me and I'm fine with this.

What I would like to know is did this unprecedented suspension have something to do with AL wearing Free Palestine on his shoes +which I totally disagree with) or the fact that the inbreds employee got to be the judge and jury of the appeal. The whole thing stinks.

Intentionally hitting a player in the head or knee there is no excuse for, nor defending it. That’s garbage. Complete bullsh*t.

No it had everything to do with the forearm to the head and acting like a jackass after.

Agreed about the forearm to the head. That's one game.

The jackass stuff you're referring to happened after he got jumped (Rightfully so by the Jags) and emotions took over, that should've been anther game. But I totally understand where Al was coming from after being jumped by several Jags on their sideline.

It's not a denial, it's a if the God'ell lead league office wants to put a Titan employee over the appeals process then all gloves should be off and I hope they ruin the league by doing whatever it takes to remove QB'S if the NFL is going to not be consistent in their doling out of punishment.

Remember when I said I didn't care if the Texans lost 100-0 as long as Derrick left the game on a cart. I think the same way about this. If God'ells henchmen want to do this then so be it. But over the next 3 weeks Tua/Mahomes/LJ need to pay the price for God'ells henchman's decision. That might finally change the way the God'ell and his Park Ave. guys think and actually change the NFL for the better. I know you think differently and I respect your position. But I want the Park Ave crowd to have to re-think their position. I felt the same way with the Brady suspension.

Take out these 3 QB's and I can guarantee you that will change the way Park AVE doles out punishment. I want change for the better and punishment to be consistent.

So other guys can be suspended. Makes sense.
I'm fine with this.

Say they lose Hewitt, Hansen/some other scrubb, I'm fine with this and picking up comparable guys off of the WW. Wealthy season ticket holders should all pitch in to pay their fines.

I bet this would get God'ells attention.

Not in the way you think. Nobody is pitching in to pay any fines 😂

And if a Jags player got jumped by the Texans sideline for doing the same thing, no one would support that player attempting to fight the team. It’s water under the bridge now. It’s done.

I wouldn't have an issue with this.

Hey Porky, you must stay angry.

You dont want the NFL to change the way it does business?

Wow just wow. These people are sons and brothers and husbands. Some of these posts are beyond shocking.
Yes, but they also know there is the risk of serious injury.

Do I want to see a contact sport? Yes.

Do I want to see people seriously injured? No.

But lets not pretend to be on moral high grounds here.... none of us would continue to watch the NFL if they officially went to flag or touch football. A change that would "make everyone safer".

Funny how All of the NFL players are taking up for AL, but some of the keyboard warriors have concocted all kinds of BS to make AL a villain.
It’s grown men on this site defending and cheering not having accountability. It was an illegal hit. He offered an insincere apology. This should not be that difficult but apparently it is.

Agreed about Derrick.

What NFL player has ever been paralyzed by a forearm to the neck?

Dont take this personally, but I choose to value guys like Brady's opinion over yours. 3 games is a lot for a guy that's never been suspended.

Oh well, water under the bridge, hopefully they lay Tua out in retribution.

[Vontaze] Burfict earned his first NFL suspension for a helmet-to-helmet hit he delivered in a playoff game against the Steelers while he was still with the Bengals. Late in the wild card matchup against Cincinnati's AFC North rival, Burfict delivered a shot to wide receiver Antonio Brown that concussed the All-Pro and kept him out of Pittsburgh's divisional playoff game the next week. The shot and ensuing penalty also played a role in costing the Bengals the game and got Burfict suspended for the first three games of the next season.
