Seattle is the only vacant team left. I know bah007 is a huge Carroll/Seahawks fan and he said he would be open to taking on Seattle if we needed someone to cover them.

I already got Pete on the phone giving me an update on their draft board.:dancer:

Just got to lunch. Give me a minute to catch up and Minnesota's pick will be up.

With the #45 pick the Minnesota Vikings select...

Owamagbe Odigizuwa - DE, UCLA

b037a399-2813-4c2d-af69-a7cba6993991-640x514.jpg

Minnesota just gave new contracts to both starting DEs a year ago but they are hurting for depth and Brian Robison had a down year by his standards.

Odigizuwa can be another dynamic pass rusher for a unit that just added Anthony Barr last year. He can push Robison and help out in nickel packages as well, giving Minnesota the ability to put up to five or six guys with pass rushing ability on the field at the same time depending on the situation.

With 2nd pick Rams select DJ Humphries, OT, Florida 6050 307.

I like this guy a lot. I was going back and forth with addressing the Tackle position in the 2nd or 3rd, but I really like PJ so I decided to pass. I think this dude has some good chops though and is gonna do well in the NFL.

With the 15th pick of the second round, the Miami Dolphins select ...

Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest

Buffalo Bills select A.J. Cann - OG, South Carolina

Rex Ryan wants to utilize a power running game to control the ball and lean on one of the league's better defenses. Cann is one of the most powerful interior players in this class and is a perfect fit for Ryan's preferred scheme.

San Diego has killed it with the first two picks. Franchise LT and new starting RB. That's how you keep Rivers happy.

I struggled a little more than I expected with this pick. I wanted a potential #1 outside receiver for the Texans in the top 2 rounds, and staring me square in the face is Breshad Perriman who I was not that fond of. Although he did exactly what I said he had to do to rise up the ranks and that was run a blistering 4.25 40 yard dash at his pro-day. He has NFL pedigree and at 6'2" 212lbs he also has the size-strength-speed triangle I am looking for on the outside.

The Texans select Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida

Great pick in the 2nd, Blake. You've really upgraded the Texans team speed on offense and defense so far.

Fantastic pick for the Texans. Raw player but totally worth the risk at this spot in the draft with his talent.

Also no arrests for either of these guys. Definitely McNair worthy.

Just goes to show you how much talent is in this draft a WR and OT.

Can't fault going for a new X.

I have an Agholor fetish, but the fans would've boo'd my choice. :tomato:

You might want to get that looked at. :fingergun:

Keeping on pace with Eagle draft, inside Chip Kelly's mind, also staying in the Pac 12. With 2nd rd. Selection BL Eagles upgrade DB position with loss of Allen, FS Damarious Randall, Arizona State 5111 196.

Why do the Skins and Jets toggle picks each round? Anyone know? I'm guessing it's got something to do with a tie breaker and them both having a 4-12 record maybe?

If you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, I'm referring to Redskins getting #5 pick every other round and then every other round get the #6 pick switching back and forth with the Jets.

Correct...
Once the order for the first round is determined as described above, the selection order remains the same for subsequent rounds with the exception of teams with similar records within their tier. These tied teams "cycle" picks in each subsequent round.

It's based on the record, and when tied they alternate. Tie breaker is for the first round. Texans don't pick 16th every round, Tampa doesn't pick 1st ever round...ect

Yes, it has to do with strength of schedule tiebreaker for equal records. If 2 (or more) teams have equal records, the weakest SOS drafts 1st initially. Then, they rotate selection order through the rest of the draft.

An ALL PAC 12 draft will have me dying from laughter

Thanks everyone for answering my question. As much as I've always gotten into this I have never realized that before today, but it's clear that everyone else knows the answer.

I appreciate yalls help.

Great pick. My favorite Safety in the draft. He can line up in the slot and play man or he can play zone over the deep half. Great athlete with good ball skills and range. Underrated tackler too. Only downside is he is a tad undersized and has a lean frame that won't carry much more weight. That doesn't really bother me though when you take his ability/skill-set into account. He's not a box player so his size isn't that big of a deal to me.

2 (54) Detroit (htownfan32) -- on the clock 3:30-7:30pm
2 (55) Arizona (TexansSeminole) -- on deck
2 (56) Pittsburgh (Lucky) -- in the hole
2 (57) Carolina (RT22) --

Randall plays the game exactly like Earl Thomas. I love him. He's not the talent that Thomas is, but he has the same strengths.

I will go on record that I like Bud Dupree with our 16th pick. When I watch him play I just wonder how good he could be with Crennel and Vrabel in one ear and Watt and Willfork in the other. Would be a perfect fit on the strong side to replace Reed and has experience dropping in limited coverage that you can see and don't have to project like with others at the position. In the end I don't think he will be there when the Texans pick at 16.

I might be wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere that while he (Dupree) has good straight line speed, he's slow in the cone drills which indicate a problem with change of direction moves and working in space dropping back.

I like the pick. 4th best WR prospect in my opinion with upside potential to be the best WR in the class, though top three is more likely.

Arizona Cardinals select:

Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson

The Cardinals can't rely on Daryl Washington to be a player of the future with his recent issues with the law. They signed Sean Witherspoon, who is injury prone, and drafted Kevin Minter recently. I still feel they need a replacement for Washington and then depth behind Witherspoon in that 3-4. Stephone Anthony is my favorite ILB in this draft. He can do it all from blitz, to run stopping, to coverage.
