2015 Texans Talk Mock Draft SELECTION

2 (34) Tampa Bay (htownfan32) -- on the clock 7:00pm-9:00am
2 (35) Oakland (RT22) -- on deck
2 (36) Jacksonville (PHILLYTEXANFAN) -- in the hole
2 (37) NY Jets (steelbtexan) --
2 (38) Washington (TexansFTW) --

Great pick for the packers

Thanks. Came down to him and Phillips. Packers need a NT long term, but in the short term they re-signed Guion and Raji. They have absolutely nothing at ILB. Kendricks would play the weakside playmaker role inside and allow Matthews to move back to OLB.

Proxy pick for bah007 via PM...

The New England Patriots select Mario Edwards - DL, Florida State

Pats picking Edwards, very interesting I always thought that Edwards was either misused or overrated at FSU. There's no doubt he's a top 10 type talent.

A little bit of both but mostly misused. He played at 300 lbs last year and FSU had him playing OLB in their hybrid 3-4. He was totally miscast. They did this because the 2 guys they were counting on to play that position were kicked off the team in the spring and summer.

I think he'll find a niche as a strong-side DE in a base 4-3 and move inside to rush in Nickel packages.

This seems to be dragging more than it has in past years. I don't remember having to do this many group picks in the first round.

May be my fault. I started the sign up late, and let anybody take a team. I do feel like some people from last year didn't sign up this year.

I'm also a reason for the delay but despite everything thanks for taking the lead on this. Its easier said than done.

With 35th pick of the draft the Oakland Raiders select Dorial Green-Beckham WR Oklahoma.

With the 37th pick in the TT Mock draft the New York Jets select Garrett Grayson QB Colorado St. 6'2 213 Lbs 4.55. Grayson is a former DB who has great mobility, as good as Mariota due to his ability to climb the pocket. Grayson is very accurate and reads defenses better than any QB in this draft. IMHO

Grayson doesn't have a howitzer but has adequate arm strength. Grayson reminds me of a more athletic Matt Schaub and has a lot of the same qualities Brady had coming out of Michigan.

The NYJ are very happy they got their top rated pass rusher Beasley and their top rated QB Grayson.

I didn't mean to insinuate that anyone was at fault. We just don't have the same momentum we've had the last couple of years.

In any case, we had a pretty good run of picks last night.

Everybody knows that I love Grayson. I think he has a legitimate shot to end up having the best career of any QB in this class. Nobody is talking about him too much this year but I think he is really similar to Jimmy Garopollo, who everybody absolutely loved last year.

After these first two picks the Raiders will surely not be able to say that Carr did not have enough weapons next year.

I see I'm up. I got a meeting in like 10 minutes and I can't tell who has been and not been picked cause that sheets not updated.

Sorry, Probably not gonna get this pick in til my meetings over. Should knock it out around 8.

True... five, six picks into Rd 2 and the first round hasn't been completely updated.

Update

Extend your right arm straight out then move it up, then back down in a chopping motion and show some love for the Redskins newest addition...

With pick 6 in the 2nd round the Skins select:

PJ Williams - CB - FSU

P+J+Williams+ACC+Championship+Duke+v+Florida+0K7fjCb-qwfl.jpg

My man PJ is a stud on the field. He shows out in the biggest games when the lights are the brightest (Defensive MVP during FSU's National Championship Game) and keeps working hard even with the recognition.

He was avoided quite a bit last year out of respect, I think it might have hindered his development a bit cause he developed some bad habits like going for broke with pick 6 and sometimes getting burnt for TDs, but it's all good. He's a Redskin now, and we (speaking as a Redskin) are gonna give up 30+ a game so he's a perfect fit.

I seriously think his slow combine time dropped him out of the first round, cause on the field, even with what I knock him for, he still made a very solid first round case IMO. With that said, he followed up his slow 40 time at the combine with a 4.45 at his pro day so I ain't scurred at all. I think after Trae, this guy has potential to be the next best CB in this draft.

EDIT: Forgot to mention... I think it's safe to say most of us here are JJ Watt fans and his box jumping ability. Here's PJ doing work on 60 inches: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000479958/article/watch-fsu-cb-pj-williams-pulls-off-incredible-box-jump

Good pick, if the Skins can keep him out of jail and sober Williams has a chance to be the best CB in this draft. That's a big if though.

Dangit!! Totally forgot he was the guy that got arrested. Ugh! I was going back and forth between him and Collins out of LSU.

Dummy! I did that long write up too, just gonna hope he beats his case. Sorry for that one everyone, poor research on my part.

I'm gonna read up on his case and see how bad it looks. I might just edit this pick if I'm allowed to.

EDIT: What a dummy. It sounds open and closed he will get hit with a DUI, but I mean if you have a good enough lawyer you can probably get away with it. He sounds like a fool coupled with his November accident too I wasn't aware of. I just read this though, so maybe it won't hurt the Skins too bad and he's still worth taking a chance on...

Being involved in any type of negative off-field incident during this stage of the evaluation process is a red flag, even though Pro Football Talk's Darin Gantt reported that "A league spokesman confirmed to PFT that draft-eligible players 'are not subject to discipline for DUI violations that occurred in college.'”

Picks look up to date.

Next 5. Feel free to PM us your top 5.

9(41) Rams (beerlover) -- On the clock. (9AM-1PM)
10(42) Falcons (steelbtexan) --
11(43) Browns (Playoffs) --
12(44) Saints (PHILLYTEXANFAN) --

LOL. As long as you have your hand out there, go ahead and see if you can touch your nose. Then walk a straight line and recite the alphabet backwards...

lol, I'm gonna take a page from PJ's book and refuse.

Saw this on a Deadspin article comments section about his arrest:

Cut the guy some slack. With the draft approaching, he was just working on his 40.

Hah, was waiting to see if you pulled this off in the 2nd or gambled waiting for the 3rd.

I get why you did what you did, but do you think he will drafted round 2 or round 3 come draft day(s)?

@Blake and @steelbtexan my picks I PMd you two days ago still have players available so please draft for me if possible. I will be unavailable till 6:30-7-ish tonight.

Atlanta Falcons select OT Cedric Ogbuehi, Texas A&M

PM'd from steelbtexan.

I'm a fan of Big Ced. I don't make excuses for A&M's overall poor play in that last three game stretch with Kenny Hill, but it seemed like the entire team gave up on Kenny around that time. There's rumors floating around about possible substance abuse issues that may have led to the team losing confidence in Kenny.

When Kyle Allen came in the next few games, the entire team played much better and rallied around their new QB.

A&M also let the O-line coach go and hired Dave Christensen. I think Ced is very raw but with proper coaching can become a great RT for someone's team.
