Hopefully we're thinking windows.TBH, as it appears we are make or break for the super bowl, I really don't care how much cap we have at the end of the year.
Again, if we need to we need to. I hope we don't need to.

From what Caserio has said he looks at things in 2 year windows and increments.Hopefully we're thinking windows.

Still paying for Thomas Booker?! Other rookies in that class are no longer on the team but I don’t see their names in the dead cap column. Roy Lopez and Garrett Wallow.

The biggest thing is ownership let Caserio acquire guys like Diggs and Mixon![]()
This dude is proving his worth getting Diggs and Mixon this offseason especially because he didn’t overpay for Saquon Barkley.
That is a fantastic (and perfectly timed) picture!!!![]()

Is everybody glad that Caserio is the GM now days? That is a fantastic (and perfectly timed) picture!!!

Or are some still living in denial?
Dang, Caserio bit into my confidence against the Bears with that interview, but so long as Caleb doesn't take a huge step forward I still feel pretty good about it.
Wonder whatever happened to old Tex?Listen. All I'm going to say is that if there are files to be clerked, he's the MAN.
Well I know of one folder the file clerk put away.Is everybody glad that Caserio is the GM now days?

I miss talking ball with that guy.
BTW, biggest difference in the Texans org, Cal and Hannah are running the org rather than Bob and Janice.

Sorry, I was responding to something else. It’s actually been 3 years.
Ever heard of Nico Collins?

Sorry, I was responding to something else.
No apology necessary.
I know it seems cool to try to dump on Caserio. Or take a sentence and make it an absolute statement trying to remove any rational understanding to it.
Stay cool.
He pulled one over on Kubiak when he still got to keep his job despite his ineptness. Yes, he had the reputation of chasing tail around the Texans front office. He was one of many that had that reputation around the front office. There were lawsuits concerning this.So why is Rick Smith called Slick Rick? Is he of questionable character? Is he gay? He was cheating??? His wife’s death was interesting to me….
Was Rick named in the lawsuits? He pulled one over on Kubiak when he still got to keep his job despite his ineptness. Yes, he had the reputation of chasing tail around the Texans front office. He was one of many that had that reputation around the front office. There were lawsuits concerning this.
No, no no...please don'tSo why is Rick Smith called Slick Rick? Is he of questionable character? Is he gay? He was cheating??? His wife’s death was interesting to me….
No, other FO personnel that were under his watch were though. Was Rick named in the lawsuits?

Apologies for quoting you; it wasn't directed at you. I'm hoping your post doesn't reignite one of this board’s well-known rabbit holes.

Yes. Elaborate please….what do you know….her death was interesting….Apologies for quoting you; it wasn't directed at you. I'm hoping your post doesn't reignite one of this board’s well-known rabbit holes.

The rabbit hole is bringing up Rick Smith. One particular member hates the man and as you can see blames him for other people mishaps.
Just considering what Rick is into…her death is interesting…the unsuccessful treatment, dying 3 days before the Super Bowl…its also convenient….
I was trying my best not to look at in that manner. If that’s what he’s insinuating, wow that’s pretty darn low.![]()
Trying to incite some insane convo about Rick Smith essentially murdering his wife has to be one of the weirder things I've seen on this board and that's truly saying something.
I think it's the only thing that can be inferred given the constant mention of it and the consistent intentionally loose phrasing around it.I was trying my best not to look at in that manner. If that’s what he’s insinuating, wow that’s pretty darn low.
I’m NOT saying that at all![]()

He didn't kill her, but he also didn't get her the best care possible. I'm going to chalk this up to, he ain't too bright.![]()

Not true man, I dont hate anybody, When somebody leads an org and the org is mediocre at best then that falls on whoever is leading the org.How so, She had been diagnosed with the disease in September 2017. Breast Cancer.

Surely you can see the difference between the way Caserio operates and how BOB/RS/Casserly used to operate.
The most important part of the matter was he had to clean up that trash created by Cal, O’Brien, Easterby and Watson. The crazy part is people don’t want to give Caserio credit. You know - because the Texans didn’t have success prior with Culley or Lovie.
They ignore the fact that there was a roster for a rookie HC, a rookie OC, and a rookie QB to work with and win with in the playoffs their first year.
And I personally, and others have the Texans highly capable of competing with the Chiefs in the playoffs.
Yeah - sure. Caserio did nothing. He just gets coffee.

And he did the best job a person possibly could do considering the mess he was left to cleanup. The most important part of the matter was he had to clean up that trash created by Cal, O’Brien, Easterby and Watson.

That's really the thing. The mess he was left with was incredible. Very little draft capital a bad unbalanced roster and almost zero cap flexibility. And he did the best job a person possibly could do considering the mess he was left to cleanup.
It was always going to take a couple of yrs to acquire talent and cleanup the cap. To think certain posters were complaining about trading up in the 3rd rd to pick Nico.
The thing I appreciate most about Caserio is that he is a complete professional at his job. I think Lucky was the one that mentioned it before, but he never devalues the product (player/pick). He is all about football and never goes beyond that into drama territory. Even during our darkest times with Easterby, nothing ever came from Caserior outside of pure business. No comparing star players to Aaron Hernandez, no fining/denouncing the players to make us look desperate, actually having a draft plan beyond the first and second round. It's honestly refreshing and why I think agents and players are more than comfortable dealing with us. I feel Meco is from that camp of professionalism as well.

To turn it around this fast is basically unheard of. There's factors of luck involved for sure - CJ Stroud and Demeco are lucky gets and the biggest reasons for the turnaround but there's many things like landing and developing Nico that are a big credit to Caserio.
There's also the factor of being able to be a seamless fit to acquire a top coach like Demeco and create a very seamless dynamic for player scouting, drafting, developing, signing, etc. We should all know how rare it is to find that perfect dynamic between head coach and GM considering what we've had to witness through the years.
There's only 1 Hannah McNair and we have her.We are in the midst of a trifecta-
A top tier GM. A top tier QB. A top tier HC.
And an owner that learned to stay the f*ck out of the way.
(Ok. That is actually 4 and not 3 but trifecta sounds more smarter.)
