DW4 Traded to Cleveland

? I miss that. I know Denver is for sale but Seattle? Can you please provide information of anything you have found as that would be very interesting.
Rumor and speculation suggest the Paul Allen Trust who owns the Hawks (Paul died in 2019) and run by his sister could be for sale and Jeff Bezos is an interested buyer. Then there are stories that say they are not for sale.

I want you to rewatch the 2nd half. The play calling was right up there with ob's run on 1st down surprise attack...

But they kept doing it.

He deserves blame, but it's a very small piece of the pie.
I'm sure you know about his private life?

Trash

Am I sursrised he best the rap? No

Do I hope those women get all of his signing bonus? Yes,

Are we still discussing Moon? I worked with a couple of cops who made his house that night and a few more who read the probable cause.

Wish he would reconsider Houston. To one degree or another, draft picks are probabilities. How probable is it that Texans draft a player of the same quality as Watson? How many picks would it take to considerably raise that probability?

I understand that the chances of Watson returning to play for the Texans again is slim to none. But I'm back to where I was before this whole mess - the Texans aren't going to get equal return for Watson. It would be better if the Texans retained Watson.

You're right. In an ideal world, you're right. I'm especially with you on the "draft picks" fetishization. Players hardly ever emerge to be the players who already "are."

But he's the one who came out with all the drama and demands and garbage over the last 15 months. He doesn't want to be here. He's the one who caused all this calamity and uncertainty.

This is *all* his fault.

The situation is completely untenable. Irreparably broken.

Understood that that was the big hurdle. But seems like a trade partner might want civil settled as well as hearing from the league on any punishment, no?
Excellent question and thank you. I was looking for this point. Can Deshaun be suspended by the league for “conduct detrimental“ for a length of time unknown to us. Is this a loose end that needs to be substantiated prior to teams being willing to trade with us?

Trade market for Deshaun Watson is now fully open. Teams that may have wanted Watson and jumped too soon…..could be wishing there were return policies.

Not sure they would be able to, if the criminal case has been dismissed, and if the civil cases get settled, then no court has ruled that Watson’s conduct was detrimental, meaning the league would be looking to make that case themselves without any witnesses.

Here’s hoping we get a huge trade deal that sets us up for a run over the next 3 or 4 years. Caserio has a history of success and Lovie seems a really good guy who we can get behind.

Lot of folks here with egg on their faces. Looks good on 'em.

Meanwhile, lets all give Deshaun our best wishes for the future. Maybe he's not the gross pathetic deformed unearthly monster so endlessly characterized here and elsewhere.

Who'd of thunk it.
Egg on faces? The system failed women like it normally does. Only the morally defunct are taking victory laps. I do hope if you ever know someone who has endured anything like this you don’t celebrate with the accused.

For clarification purposes, I see Texian reference that the Seahawks are up for sale. This is false. The Paul G. Allen Trust chaired by Jody Allen isn't selling the Seahawks. After last season, she had her annual sit down meeting with GM John Schneider and HC Pete Carroll. What exactly was said? Not sure. After watching these moves, I would like to believe that Jody wants a winning team with a hell of a home field advantage once again.

Over the last three years, Russell Wilson has clamored to be traded via passive agressive PR crap. In those same three years, the Hawks offense has gone to crap even with the talent like Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf on the field. The defense has followed suit. The slow decline hit an untolerable low this last year. Jody said fix it. Get rid of the bad cap and people that don't want to play here. Get rid of the crappy Defensive Coordinator and get a more aggressive style in place. Get fresh eyes in here and fix it now.

Getting DW up in Seattle immediately lights Lumen Field back up. The kid is electrifying. Makes plays that just blow your mind. Stuff that Russ Wilson used to be able to do and no longer can or will. I can see GM Schneider going after Watson because he fits what they are doing with Shane Waldron's offense. We got TE Noah Fant in that Wilson trade. Dude is a beast. If we get Watson, we are pairing him back up with his first LT, Duane Brown. I'm willing to bet Deshaun and Duane have been on the phone with each other already.

I hope DW4 gets some counseling for, what I would call, his sex addiction. But I'm willing to bet the Seahawks would keep an eye on his extracurricular activities. Only time will tell. But I bet he's traded before the weekend is done. As one poster on Seahawks.net said... "What comes after #3?...#4."

That bridge is burned and it's an untenable position for both Watson and the franchise. - but you know that.

Sounds like you want a huge return. Sounds like you want established players more then picks. Sounds like you've already decided to hate the trade before it happens?
Nope. Just saying analytically speaking it's doubtful the Texans will get "fair" value for this quarterback. The probabilities are against it happening. I feel that's how good of a quarterback Watson is...just my opinion, of course. How good of a human being he is, at this time in his life, is certainly up to debate and largely subjective.

That's my entire narrative. Nothing else.

Edit - this has been my opinion from the very moment talks began on the board regarding a Watson trade. Even before the sex assault claims came out. Regarding his talent, nothing has changed. I still feel he's a top 5 quarterback and he's only 26 yo. If Casero is as good as some folks think he is, the Texans with Watson could be back in the playoffs this upcoming season.

Most teams would treat a say 4-8 game suspension like a an injury. Doubt that it is effecting his value significantly.

If DW is so great why does everyone limit his trade to a couple of teams? Why can’t 20+ teams be in the mix? I’d look at those teams that are one QB away despite whomever their QB may be. For the hell of it I’m going to say he will be traded to a team that hasn’t been discussed yet.

Agree. I count 15 teams that could be players.
Wouldn't it be nice if a bidding war broke out for his services?

That’s for the File Clerk to make his money!
The File Clerk now works for Lovie and Easterby is restricted to the cafeteria. File Clerk is back to setting the table. When the General (Lovie) walks into the boardroom, the File Clerk says this is what we got. The General then makes the decisions and issues the marching orders. In the meantime the Preacher man is in the cafeteria peeling potatoes.

We are limiting the possible list because Watson has a NO TRADE CLAUSE. Just like Russell Wilson, Deshaun will have to approve of the trade and sign an adendum to his contract to allow for the trade to happen. Watson, or his rep, have given a list of what he's looking for in his next team. Good Coach, Good Offensive Line, Good Defense (not in that order). This kid gets to pick where he goes. Everyone is speculating the most likely places he would choose.

Actually, a lot of folks here couldn’t be happier that he was cleared so Nick can ship him the hell out of here and he can be another team’s problem.

I’m not sure how to feel about all of this. It’s nice to dream about the haul we should get back now, but as a dad of two girls it’s incredibly upsetting still to see how rich men can still get away with this crap.
While that may be true, this is a football MB where we discuss the football side of things. Big picture, of course you want justice to prevail. And when there's an injustice, you feel for the victims, even get upset. But on the football side of things I want what's best for my football team. Going over trade options doesn't make me insensitive to the alleged victims or not care that the system is fucked. It just means I'm discussing football on a football board.

Is Watson completely innocent in all this? Not likely. Did he do everything exactly as accused? Not likely either. America doesn’t take people to trial and convict on accusations and people “feeling that something is likely” in our criminal justice system. That is mob mentality. Thank God we don’t. The fact that he wasn’t even criminally indicted shows that there is not strong direct evidence to support the accusations. Y’all want to convict on “she said” around here? That’s been exposed time and time again. I feel bad for the women whom likely something happened but just saying something happened or having a few weird text messages doesn’t meet prosecutorial burden.

There are no witnesses in these type of he said/she said cases and physical evidence is hard to come by especially when the accused brings his own towel to a massage.

There are realistically 3-4 bidders that Watson would waive his NTC for and that have assets we want. Highest bidder gets the prize. Do I hear 3 1s plus a few more assets out there?
I've said it else where on this Board but I'll say it again: the Carolina Panthers owned by David Tepper is the team and the man to watch. As probably Wall Streets most highly compensated hedge fund manager, Tepper has earned multiple billions of dollars
in a single year. I didn't stutter, I was talking about his annual compensation, not his net worth ! The mans net worth is between 15 and 16 billion dollars and he bought the Panthers a few years ago, he's 64 year old, and he's not a patient kinda guy and he has said owning an NFL franchise is basically meaningless to him without and until he wins a SB.
So Nick Caseror just get ready to rock & roll young man, because David Tepper is headed your way, and soon.
And BTW turns out nobody is going to jail, so the biggest impediment to getting a deal done is no longer.

Agreed and unfortunately for women these types of cases just don’t often have convincing evidence that is prosecutorial in nature. As I said I believe he has at least some guilt and the truth is likely closer to what the women say happened but again evidence and not accusation is necessary to convict in the American criminal justice system.
