WatJICson
Surely this has been discussed, but why in the name of Bill O'Brien's chin-hole did they go for it on 4th down right before the half on your end of the field?

I was surprised we stopped using Hyde and Johnson. I thought the gameplan was to run the ball down their throats.TBH, I didn't mind this so much. What I DID hate was it was less than a yard, going up against one of the worst rush defenses in the league... and what do we do? We went empty backfield. WTF!?!?!?

Actually, I was good with it--if they had used Hyde. When he wasn't in backfield, I thought well everyone know Watson will run it or at least RPO for a first but we will get it. It was still early in game and I thought a first under those circumstance would lift team and fans-- pluhch!Surely this has been discussed, but why in the name of Bill O'Brien's chin-hole did they go for it on 4th down right before the half on your end of the field?
I understand DW didn't have a good game. But I don't understand why you're singling out the QB? It was a total disaster for the whole squad. Even if Watson had a good game, we're still losing because the defense had no answer for Drew Lock. The Broncos offense was doing whatever they wanted.
The entire team was unprepared and that falls on BOB.
WatJICson shouldn't get a pass though. He was terrible yesterday.
The return TD was on Coutee to make it 0-14.The Bronco's defense came into the game as the #5 pass defense but like #30 rush defense and the first series the rush was doing okay but the bend until broken defense gave up so many points so fast the Texans had no choice but to go against that
The Pats is no. 1 in point allowed.^^^^
This
Watson has proven so far he cant get the job done against top pass defenses. There's a big difference between the Broncos and say the Falcons pass defense.
Did you hear QTs comment "I thought I was down. The ref told me I was down."The return TD was on Coutee to make it 0-14.
The Texans scored 3 poínts in the first half.
This slow start is sickening.
Every player just stood there, but they are supposed to keep playing until they hear a whistle. The Broncos sure took advantage of it.Did you hear QTs comment "I thought I was down. The ref told me I was down."
Smartest guy in the room.Surely this has been discussed, but why in the name of Bill O'Brien's chin-hole did they go for it on 4th down right before the half on your end of the field?
Cant you just write what the hell you mean, I have no idea what 99% of your posts are about (sticking to the spelling part this time)?

Also, Watson has won a championship, while O’Brien NEVER has on any level!Watson can win a championship, OBrien can't
Also, Watson has won a championship, while O’Brien NEVER has on any level!
Who is responsible for that ?
Something needs to be done about Tunsil and all the false starts. I have it! Let him call the snap count. That duty doesn't have to be on the QB.
The Pats is no. 1 in point allowed.
Oh there are some on here that can get very creative when it comes to placing any blame what so ever on WatJICson.Man stop it, nobody is giving Watson or anybody else a freaking pass for that crap we seen on yesterday.
Look at the entire season and tell me WatJICson has played well against top tier defenses. The Pats game looks like an abberation
It's a petty squabble against 2 or 3 posters and to get under their skin, all posters are subjected to the same repetitive Watson bashing and spelling.
Here is how he played vs teams by the rankings in terms of scoring defense.
Patriots_ Good
Chargers- Good
Ravens- Bad
Broncos-Bad
Saints- Good
Colts- 1 bad 1 good
Bucs- TBD
Titans-TBD
Chiefs-Good

it sounds to me that Tunsil is jumping the count. Practice helps but game time is a whole nother world.I caught the tail end of an interesting conversation with Wade Smith on 610. As a former guard, he was saying that sometimes it's good for the OL to know the play before getting to the LOS. That way, you can focus on the man you have to block and what technique you're going to use for a given play.
Smith said, it's harder for the OL to get to the LOS, get into their stance and then the QB is making so many checks and changes at the LOS, you are always having to think instead of reacting. He mentioned the Texans should go no huddle more. He also mentioned Tunsil has more false starts at home than on the road. He attributes it to Tunsil reacting to the snap count a hair faster than Martin is snapping the ball. He recommended Devlin, Martin, Tunsil and Watson spend more time in practice on the snap count. Similar to a pass rusher, Tunsil is anticipating the snap count and is coming off the count quicker than Martin is snapping the ball.
Take it for what's it worth from a person who actually played the position.

Not really discussed. That was dumb to begin with. Dumber to call a pass, and dumbest for Deshaun not to use his feet in those situations AFTER Einstein called the pass plays. Hyde & Duke averaged 5 yards per carry. Denver was known as a bad run team way before we played them. We outsmart nobody but ourselves.
No. However I do think it was a hole in his canoe as he paddles up the well-known Creek. I am hoping that Mama McNair after the game read the riot act to Cal. So much of what she does in the area of charity work is tied to a good image of the team. I am hoping that how the team lost is as important to her as it is to me. Winning our last 3 and making it to the Superbowl is what we need to do to get the bad taste out of the mouths of fans. Ain't happening.Do you think this embarrassing loss has sealed BoB's fate?
Do you think this embarrassing loss has sealed BoB's fate?
No, we have a few more embarrassing losses to go
I just hope WatJIC isn't another Moon.
A big part of why I said this was a 3 yr rebuild in the beginning. WatJICson needs to get some more experience and talent needs to be added on the defensive side of he ball. Edge/Coverage LB needs to be at the top of the list of needs.
They also need a really fast WR to be the WFV injury replacement and move Stills full time into the slot. Coutee needs to be replaced.
They also could use OL depth and a young RB.
Good news is this is a deep draft on the offensive side of the ball.
Just stop it. OB SUCKS!!! Period!! Rick Smith had nothing to do with his horrible playcalling with his piss poor game management with us even worse player management. He’s a total piece of **** and he needs to be gone or this team will never win anything he’s not a good coach face it that’s a fact.
Oh and NE is 2 and 3 in its last 5 games. Those two wins were against two **** teams who’ve both lost three ina row now. So no beating New England was not a step forward. It was just another **** win that looked better than it really was. This team is trash and it’s that way because it’s a direct reflection of his head coach.
Their soft, complacent and lack focus. Just like OB.
Pardon? Anybody really think Watson is Jesus IC. Get a grip.
At all this "It's OB" "It's Watson" mess.
May as well be Daffy and Bugs Bunny...

They both have their share of the blame.
IMO one has shown an inability to grow... the other has shown he just needs time to do so.
Neither are spotless.
There is enough blame to go around and Watson deserves much of it.
They are kinda alike , one week OB calls a brilliant game like the second Jags game , one week Watson is lights out and puts up a 50 spot on Atlanta.
The next one or the other lays an egg …. or in the case of this Bronco's and Panthers debacles , they both lay an egg.
Inconsistency is the identity of this team.
Watson has shown that he can light it up …. every other week , OB has shown that he's mediocre for 6 years.
I'd really like to see Watson with another coach and OC …. Maybe they can get that consistency out of him that OB cant.
Problem is , unless they crater and miss the playoffs , that's not likely at all.
There were times during the second Colts matchup where I almost hoped they lost that game …. and fell out of the playoff picture completely just to get OB gone.
This next one against the tInbreds …. win or lose I don't care. The best we can hope for is a second round whoopin at the hands of the Ravens , Chiefs or Pats , that is if they can beat the Bills which is highly questionable.
To be quite honest , I think that's the ceiling for this team under OB - I'd rather miss the playoffs and send Miami a nice draft pick than go thru another year of this crap.
I've had it with Mr Mediocre.
We need to open up a can of OB Be Gone.
One of them has had 3 times longer than the other.Neither one of them has grown.
One of them has had 3 times longer than the other.
This is only creeping up on Watsons second full season.
This is OBs 14th year of a 3 year rebuild. There is a clear difference in the opportunity for growth.
Bad/poor/mediocre leadership can stiffle growth with their stagnant ways. OB has had multiple players...same lack luster results... Watson has had one HC in his pro career.
