Disappointed in him for what exactly? For coach speak? For not throwing anyone under the bus?Agreed, this is the first time I have been disappointed with him as a Texans coach.
C’mon man.

What Porky said. The Texans played like they had no game plan. Like they thought they could just line up, kick 4 FGs, score a TD and win. It worked against two 1-2 teams, why not a team that just beat a team that has the same offense/defense you have.Disappointed in him for what exactly? For coach speak? For not throwing anyone under the bus?

How many 1st downs were wiped out by penalties? The Tunsil penalties were especially egregious. Get 1 illegal formation penalty, adjust. He had a few. Look right and see where your damn head is. Move it forward as necessary. Was he that scared of Greenard? Did Greenard blow him up a lot in practice and Harris not report on it?Well it looks like our Texans were the ones getting bludgeoned.
Penalties really killed them.
I think the crowd should let him have next week’s home game.
I’m talking about what you realistically expect him to say in front of the mic. What Porky said. The Texans played like they had no game plan. Like they thought they could just line up, kick 4 FGs, score a TD and win. It worked against two 1-2 teams, why not a team that just beat a team that has the same offense/defense you have.
IIRC, we had a game like this last year and Slowick did respond the following game.Vikings might be the best defense we face all season but I expect the tough defenses (patriots, jets, ravens) to follow flores scheme. Up to Bobby if he’s going to adjust
Houston looked bad today. I don’t care about Dallas. For as bad as Houston played today, I think Dallas might be playing worse. Derrick Henry is rolling back the clock on them.
So..you know rule but got away two games but crying now?I think the crowd should let him have next week’s home game.
I said they looked bad, what's your point.Houston looked bad today. I don’t care about Dallas.
Worried is a little strong. I'm not worried, but I am concerned. They beat two teams most people don't expect to be good by a total of 8 points and didn't look great doing it. And Coleridge Bernad Stroud hasn't looked particularly sharp. Today was inevitable.I'm not worried about today's game. Yeah, they looked like a big pile of sh!t. That's nothing to worry about for right now. However, if they start having more bad days, then we should begin worrying.
That said, my worry meter is beginning to spike with Tunsil.
We sucked today. We've got to do a better job of coaching and execution. I've got to do a better job of cleaning up the pre-snap penalties.I’m talking about what you realistically expect him to say in front of the mic.
This is where I'm at.Worried is a little strong. I'm not worried, but I am concerned. They beat two teams most people don't expect to be good by a total of 8 points and didn't look great doing it. And Coleridge Bernad Stroud hasn't looked particularly sharp. Today was inevitable.
They have no identity right now. This is the main issue.
Laremy said that he got away with lining up incorrectly the first 2 games so I guess it is the Referee's fault? The Texans were flagged 11 times for 83 yards today, and have 18 penalties this season for 233 yards.
I won't#1 in something. I'll take it!
Did they lose their identity this past week after two wins? They have no identity right now. This is the main issue.
Deshaun Watson says hi.Well, the brightside is, my negative nancy mojo has clearly worn off.
Next week I get to be a positive Pauline.
So much sunshine beaming out my rectum you'll all have to wear shades.
I don't remember anyone saying Tunsil is solely responsible for this loss. Everyone has repeatedly said the entire team failed today. Lance is trying to get clicks and whether Tunsil likes it or not, he's the poster child for pre-snap penalties on this team. If he doesn't like that narrative.. CLEAN IT UP!!
You don't bench Tunsil over penalties.Fixed as in tape or superglue? Or fixed as in benching someone on the oline. Very disappointed in Demeco today. He had a chance to make a statement today and should have benched LT, but he blew it.
Not a great excuse for keeping on doing it. But who else's fault is it that he was allowed to get away with it, if it's not the referees'?Laremy said that he got away with lining up incorrectly the first 2 games so I guess it is the Referee's fault?
No, exiting.... not entering.Deshaun Watson says hi.
If he starts committing 5 penalties a game on the regular you do. You know what I'll give him 1 a game, because I've gotten so accustomed to it, but 5.. hell no.You don't bench Tunsil over penalties.
December? They have the Dolphins, Ravens, Jag's and Chiefs. If Tua is behind center and playing like the Tua of 2023 I see a humiliating stretch in December for the Texans. This team is giving me 2013 vibes. I've been thinking that all week which is why I expected them to get whipped today. This is where I'm at.
The way they "practice" in the preseason nowadays these first 4 games are going to look like this. It has for most of the league for several years now.
It would be nice if we'd come out looking like the Vikings defense did today, or like the Saints offense the first two weeks, but we didn't & haven't.
The most important thing is to get to 3-1 which we've got a real shot at doing.. 4-1 would be really nice, then the season "starts."
What's this team going to look like going into December? Do you think we have the coaches to make this bunch of players a true Super Bowl contender?
Drive killers destroys momentum. First play went for 19 yards and was called back due to Stover holding.
Running backs who fumble, used to have to carry the football around with them that week. I would like to see Stover forced to watch that play over and over on his notebook and team meetings. But no one on the team better laugh. We really missed Mixon today. He is an outstanding blocker who would have picked up those missed by Stover. Stover was easily the worst -blocker- on that line.
Plus… we can’t forget about Scrugg’s injury. He did play hobbled today.
They haven’t truly established 1. We thought we’d be a running smash mouth team after wk 1…and there was really nothing to garner from the Bears. Today they seemed like they wanted to be a pass team.Did they lose their identity this past week after two wins?
I think it is like finding out that your girlfriend left you for a better looking, richer guy and then your cousin says his girlfriend left him also.I said they looked bad, what's your point.
Nonsense. You could send a message to your team and players without throwing someone under the bus. Bench someone for a series or two that is consistently making mistakes. Coaches do it all of the time with running backs that fumble. Why not a struggling offensive lineman. What is exactly your solution to LT and his penalties?Disappointed in him for what exactly? For coach speak? For not throwing anyone under the bus?
C’mon man.
Or I was just commenting on the games that aired locally today. I get it, he's upset.I think it is like finding out that your girlfriend left you for a better looking, richer guy and then your cousin says his girlfriend left him also.
That could make some feel better, but not everyone.
This team was ill prepared and I take full responsibility for that.I’m talking about what you realistically expect him to say in front of the mic.
Do you really think it would have mattered who our ball carrier was today? I don't.Texans rushed for just 38 yards on 14 carries without Joe Mixon.C.J. Stroud was intercepted twice and sacked four times.
ABSOLUTELY! Especially one with Mixon’s blocking skills.Do you really think it would have mattered who our ball carrier was today? I don't.
Totally agree. Mixon can run, catch, and block. He is a gamechanger.ABSOLUTELY! Especially one with Mixon’s blocking skills.
I'm sure he would have helped today, but even he would not have been able to make enough of a difference to change the crap we put out on the field today! Just chalk it up to being bad, correct it and move on to the next game. It's all we can doTotally agree. Mixon can run, catch, and block. He is a gamechanger.
That is what I realistically expected him to say.I’m talking about what you realistically expect him to say in front of the mic.
The Greenard and Kamu Grugier-Hill revenge games were a thing…How does this look in retrospect? After the game? I wish you had been correct..
Agree with Carr Bombed. Nobody said LT was the reason the Texans weren't right. Everyone with a pair of eyes could see that LT was one of the reasons the Texans weren't right and that his screwed up talent for finding a yellow flag multiple times per game helped to kill some promising drives. It's getting old. My opinion doesn't count for a damn thing but I can't imagine why the Texans wouldn't be looking hard for his replacement in the near future.
That's not what he's trying to saying. Look he had a terrible game. The entire team stunk yesterday. Tunsil was one of the worst of the stinkers, but trying to blame yesterday's fiasco on him is laughable.So..you know rule but got away two games but crying now?
I was 10 last I tried that one, Laremy.
Did he get away with it, or were the feds call it differently yesterday? Not a great excuse for keeping on doing it. But who else's fault is it that he was allowed to get away with it, if it's not the referees'?
