Week 3 Game Day thread! Bludgeon the Vikings!

This isn't on Slowick. This loss was a collective effort. One blowout loss does make him a bad offensive coordinator. There is a lot of season left.

All good teams have bad days. All bad teams have more. I just figured out the NFL, I guess I don't have to watch anymore now. LOL

It's days like today that make me grateful for the 1993 Oilers playoff debacle. I can simply go do something different instead of yelling at my TV and getting pissed.

We really missed Mixon today. He is an outstanding blocker who would have picked up those missed by Stover. Stover was easily the worst -blocker- on that line.

Plus… we can’t forget about Scrugg’s injury. He did play hobbled today.
SCRUGGS played ok actually. The right side of the line and Tunsil tho…garbage.

I’m ready to move on from Howard..he’s trash.

I disagree humbly…. The Texans have a way better roster than the vikings.
On paper yes, but the proof is in the pudding. Let's see how this season goes. As of now we haven't proven anything other than we have a lot of work to do to prove we are as good or better than we have performed up to this point. What good does it do if you are supposed to be more talented than the teams you play each week only to look as though that is not the case? As of now it appears the Vikings are better at this time than expected. They have appeared to be better than us not only based on today's game but all three games they have won. There have been some changes to our team and in my way of thinking you will be right about us and the Vikings when it comes to talent but hype and what we are supposed to be only counts if we live up to expectations. Lets see if the cream rises to the top.

Some people let their emotions get the best of them. If we are a bad team we will soon find out. To me this was a hiccup but we will be just fine. Slowick getting a new contract is neither here nor there. There is a LOT of football left to play. No need to get carried away.

**** Tunsil.

"the refs tried to make an example of us"

Bro you're good for at LEAST one penalty a game. For as long as we've known you.

**** this guy.
He was talking about the illegal formation penalties. Those didn't make sense. I'm watching Cowboys Ravens... I've watched football for a long time, I didn't see anything egregious about the way Tunsil lines up & the False Start on the Center... looked like a setup.

Like the Vikings went to the refs ahead of the game & said watch for this, this, & that.

Tunsil deflecting blame with both of these issues tells me everything i need to know about him.

The false starts are on you buddy. Youre going to soon. Theres no way everyone else is just moving too slow and "not on the same communication"... This has been a problem for years.

And then on the illegal formation... I can see the first one... But after that, just go to the ref and ask him exactly where you need to be.

Sadly, he takes no accountability and is not a leader. When CJ threw that 2nd pick, he immediately pointed at himself and said that was his fault. I have never ever seen LT do that. That Dolphins trade keeps biting us in the ass. Thank you BOB

Hopefully this game is a wakeup call for the Texans. They haven't played great at all through 3 games. This should get all of the media hype out of their heads about Lombardi trophies and gets them focused on cleaning up the penalties and playing sound, fundamental football. Should serve as a wakeup call for the coaching staff, also. The Texans were outplayed and outcoached on both sides of the ball. I'm actually glad it was a blowout and not a close game. I'm also glad it was a nonconference game.

For as bad as Houston played today, I think Dallas might be playing worse. Derrick Henry is rolling back the clock on them.
That definitely softens the blow. I can't help but smile every time the Cow Pies lose. I wonder how Jerrah feels when he thinks of the contract he signed Prescott to. Prescott is just like Cousins. They keep teams in QB hell. Good to great in the regular season, doesn't do squat in the postseason.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. Tunsil should be the leader on that line, and a true team leader. Instead he deflects, blames teammates, blames refs. He’s softer than custard, and is one of the most undisciplined offensive lineman in the NFL. It’s total bullshit and it’s high time this team address it. Next off-season he should be traded for whatever you can get for him, draft a LT high, and sign a mid level FA. Howard is also on shaky ground between injury and meh performances. Fisher can be a possible answer there.

I’m good with the interior guys in the near term…but drafting a guard that might be a Mason replacement down the road makes some sense.
