Agree. The slight misdirection on the dive. A basic play most teams run at least 5-10 times a year. Under O'Brien, how many times can anyone recall running that play on 3rd and short?

Another great pass pro outing for the offensive line. If we could somehow some way get the blocking for run pro going. We might just make at serious run at it.

I know the third one was a joke so we’ll focus on the first two.
Stanford returned to form and showed why he is good enough to be kept as starter and given a big contract but not good enough to be a game changer.
Road games aren’t meaning as much this year I don’t think because just like at this game it was an empty stadium so no crowd factor to speak of. Add to that Ford is an indoor stadium and even the weather wasn’t that big a factor. Only thing that might have played a part is travel and fatigue but seems they could overcome those.

Our 4 minute offense is so bad, Prosise picked up 8 yards on 1st down.
We picked up 5 yards on a roughing the kicker penalty
& still didn't get a 1st down.
Actually it was 7 yds on first down followed by 2 runs for 1 yd each and then a delay of game penalty but yeah

TK, did you watch any of the Cowboys and Redskins ? It looks like the 'Skins might be trying to ressurect the Hogs …. that entire line had the biggest arms I've seen in …. ever !

What did you think about the Lions determination to establish the run against a bad run D to start the 2nd half?
Do you think the Texans tried to do the same at some point in the game & couldn't?
I know there at the end Detroit "knew" we were going to try to run the ball. Likewise some time in that long 2nd half opening drive, the Texans should have caught on that Detroit was going to run the ball.
We won, both sides of the ball had moments where they really looked good. But not getting a first down on that drive really irks me.

I think the Texans try to establish the run every game but can’t. They ran just 7 times in the 2nd half so it looks like they pretty much gave up on it, which they need to do anyway. This o-line can’t run block to save their lives.
Even against a bad run defense like Detroit’s. Really disheartening
