Not to speak for TK but I’d guess he’s taking a stab at Steel with that.
Let's see how things go when the Texans aren't playing jokes of franchises like the Jags/Lions before handing out crowns.

These are 2 bad football teams. The Bears aren't great but they will be a much tougher test than what the Texans have been beating up on lately.

Your dream situation will be coming around soon enough when the Texans play the Colts twice and the Titans over the next 7 games. In regards to a reality check, exactly what else has changed for the Texans since the last time they played the Titans.....same shitety OL, same crappy running game, same piss-poor defense, same ol' turd pile of coaches (minus the head turd wearing his white tapered crown) and iffy play-calling.....are you expecting different results? I'm not expecting different results but I'll sure be rooting for them to pull off some victories.

With all of that we still should’ve won that game. Lol

Anytime they play an above avg defense the offense craps the bed. It's the one constant.

Did you consider the OL plays even worse when facing a top defense.....and you already know that the Texans running game couldn't even put a dent in one of the suckiest run defenses in the NFL. Now, you are expecting them to run against a much better defense? Try taking this into consideration before you begin another Watson rant, if the OL is shitier and there is absolutely no run game....exactly what type of rabbit are you expecting Watson to yank out of his arse? If the Texans did manage a victory......I'd have to say that rabbit would be along the size of Harvey.

Lol Exactly, I’m hoping this two game winning streak is actually building up some confidence and momentum for this ball club. They mess around and win out, that would put them at 9-7 and 5-1 in the division.

Even without a run game I expect Watson to play well against the Colts.

Tony Romo was right about timing & anticipation being better now than it was even 6 weeks ago. There’s more flow in the passing game & Watson is taking opportunities to get upfield when he has to.

Confidence is a fine thing but I’m reminded of a line from a John Wayne El Dorado “Faith can move mountains, but it can’t beat a faster draw.” I am in no way expecting the Texans to win but if they lose I want to see how and why.

Something that really troubled me in that Browns game is the team didn’t seem to have much fight in them. Could have been the weather, could have been the butt kicking most teams have given them or it could have been my imagination but that fight we have always seen in them just wasn’t there.

Also, yes I’m going to bring it up, Watson has had two great games but Steel is not wrong in that Pats and Lions let him pretty much do whatever he wanted including the sandlot style plays. The ponies and tits aren’t going to let him do that so how are we going to adjust for that? At this point him and Kelly should be firing on all cylinders so what are they going to come up with? That may not help if the line can’t give him at least 2 seconds to throw or a receiver can’t catch but we can still see more of what we are dealing with going into next year.

Again I don’t expect Watson or anyone else to pull a rabbit out of their hat and win, though it would be nice, but there is a difference in losing a game and being made to look like chumps. This year we have been made to look like chumps and now with two good games and a bit of a roll I want to see if the Texans can, if not win, still go down fighting.

See what happens when you are blinded by Hate. It’s get in the way of having clear logical reasoning. Always comes off as wishing on someone’s downfall.
Even those of us with clear, logical thinking get accused of wishing for someone’s downfall if the person accusing doesn’t like what is being said.

Well that constant is gone. Shouldn’t happen again.
You know there is this sublime link at work where the constant that is gone is the sole reason the current constant is currently with us so any attack on the latter is, in fact, a continued attack on the former.
I can imagine 14 years down the line, Watson has 7 Super Bowl rings but at the age of 39 his arm is declining on a poor roster. The calls of I told you so, and damnit Rick!

This same Lions team got after Murray and intercepted him 3 times and sacked him once. They beat them 26-23. The Cardinals are a much better team than us. So no dude is not right. Credit the offensive line again for playing pretty darn solid in pass pro. See this is y’all problem, so quick to dismiss the things that are positive because of the opponents not being good. Last I checked this is the NFL and this was not the second game in which Watson played great. He’s been lightening it up for 7 games now. The only game since O’Brien’s departure he didn’t play solid was against the Browns. The weather played a part in that Maverick.

I’m not dismissing anything, this is what I’m talking about unless every post is praising Watson or talking about how great everything he does is then it’s taken as being a hater. That’s you guys problem is you don’t seem to think anything is ever his fault or that he has any flaws seeing as I’ve asked multiple times what you and others see as his weaknesses and you refuse to answer.

Fact is Pats have the worst pass defense in the league and lions are almost as bad. Watson carved them up it’s true but on a lot of those plays he had upwards of 3-5 seconds to throw. So either this line has suddenly become an all pro line or the defenses were not good. Colts and a Titans are much better on the defenses colts in particular.

Also I don’t factor in to much how one team did against another team because there could be lots of reasons for it and as the old saying goes any given Sunday. For example Vikings beat Green Bay and then got beat by the cowboys. Are we going to say the cowboys are a good team because they beat a team that beat a good team?

I said the weather was a factor in the Browns game but also the team had no fire in them and they just gave up almost before the game even started. We have no running game this is true but it’s also not news to anyone so knowing we have no running game then it’s on the coaches and players to make something happen even if the situation isn’t ideal.

Also not sure what your point of “this is the NFL” was. Doesn’t change the fact that these teams are not good compared to their peers. Look Watson played great, the team played great but I’m not ready to do my cowboys fan impression and think that one or two great games is evidence we have turned the corner particularly against teams that are in as bad a shape as us.

I don't know what's going on with pass pro but the sacks have gone from 4 per game the 1st 4 games to 1.7 the last 7. So of course timing and anticipation are going to be better when you're not running for your life on every single dropback.

Whether that's lesser defenses or whatever, I think it speaks volumes to the fact that Watson hasn't been ruined by the onslaught of pressure he's dealt with his entire career thus far. Get this o-line to decent, whether that's via better players or better coaching, and you're going to see this dude join the elite status.

Colts and a Titans are much better on the defenses colts in particular.
Titans defense is as bad as ours... well, that same tier anyway.

Colts D is legit on all levels. As good if not better than Steelers.

KC, Baltimore, & Chicago are pretty good pass defenses.

Packers are about the same as New England.

Blame Cleveland on the weather. Fine.

If he plays well against the Colts & Bears, then I am going to excuse the first 4 games of the year on too much new... no Hopkins, Cooks shorter in person, Kelly wrestling with O'Brien, that kind of stuff.

But if he has an 80 something passer rating against the Colts & Bears (which 85 used to be considered average) I'm falling in with steelbtexan & Corrosion.

Thank you, that’s all I’m saying, not that it’s all doom and gloom nor that it’s all roses and candy. Just that it’s to soon to really tell and I think these next few games will be great tests.

To be clear I don’t expect Texans to win much because even if the offense plays great I think the defense will give up to many points but as been talked about a lot our future is tied up with our offense. Watson, Tunsil, maybe Fuller all offense and all the future of the Texans.

It’s not if we win or lose at this point it’s how or why we win or lose.

I saw a recent tweet that during the O'Brien era, besides Vrabel and Marrone (soon to be fired), every coach the Texans beat by double digits have been fired at one point or the other. That tells me the coaching and scheme has been good enough to beat average to below average teams but when they play the elite teams and defenses the scheme and coaching gets exposed.

Just because the guy (BOB) who farted on the elevator got off the elevator, it doesn't mean the stench left with him.

The Steelers defense is actually better and we were able to score pretty easily in the first half. The play calling in the 2nd half is what lost us that game. Bill O’Brien was full of crap and we paid for it during that stretch. You guys have to factor in the toxic environment during that time.
The Titans are having their way with that top 5 defense. Up 21-14

What do you think makes them an above average defense? It's because they hold offenses down... if they didn't they would be average or below
Nope, playoff teams usually have the better defenses. Checkout how they performed against the Chiefs/Ravens/Steelers/Packers etc... vs the Jags/Lions etc... and the Texans offense is only good against poor defenses. What makes you think the Texans offense has improved?

The Titans' OL is dominating the Colts. Henry already has 120 yard rushing and averaging 8.6 YPC. First step to defeating "elite" defenses is by winning in the trenches.

It wasn't just the playcalling that lead to 0 pts in the 2nd half against the Steelers. What about the 0 pts in the 1st half of the Packers game? Was the locker room toxic then too? Of were the Texans playing a better defense? Cant make excuses or blame BOB for that turd in the punch bowl. Well I take that back in your world there will always be excuses.

Aaron Rodgers had a PR in the 40’s in week 6. How are you falling in on him?

Just a setup for when Watson has a down game, and he will, then we get all the told you so bullshit. And it will be bullshit. 6 games in a row without a turnover, but watch what happens around here the second he throws his next one.

Again, people go nuts when somebody mentions top 5, elite, Jesus in cleats or whatever, but everyone of you seem to demand that he plays like that before you’d ever give any kind of credit. And some still wouldn’t.

Which one besides the weather induced Browns? Don't you see that as an improvement?
The Packers

Getting shutout in the 1st half against the Packers, then putting up some meaningless stats while 3 scores down in the 2nd half.

I love the kid. He's been playing more the way I want him to play the last 5 weeks or whatever.

I'd like to see more good games against good defenses.

Like you said, everyone has a bad game here & there. This was an outlier for Rodgers.

& by the bye, I mentioned 85 used to be considered avg. but if Watson has an 85 rating it’s a “bad” game. That’s telling. I’m not one of the haters. I see the good & the bad.

No, the bottom line is you want to put the entire history of ineptness of the Texans since 2017 on Watson. Objectivity must be a 4 letter word to you
Nope, I've already said BOB should've been fired after 51-7. But yes DW4 bears some of the responsibility for the teams failure whether some on this MB wants to admit it or not.
