The Official Half Assed Jackuars @ Texans Clinch the Division Gameday Thread

Looks like all the other games the Clots need might break their way. Even the games that look like upsets really aren't because the "better" team often has nothing to play for and they are resting up for the playoffs. NE is notorious for sleepwalking in their last game when it's not critical for playoff positioning. CIN is limping without Andy Dalton (though he'd stink up the playoffs as always). And Buffalo really wants to seem to get this one for Rex and stick it to the Jets. KC has the #3 seed locked up this afternoon, win or lose. Glad the Texans are looking dominant on defense again, they may *need* to win this one after all...

In any event, that is how they should have approached this game anyway. Ignore the "1% chance for Indy" stuff, because given the historical luck of Houston football, it's likely to happen. Just win and make it all a moot point.

He was going on his 4th season & really didn't look like a pass rusher. He's looked great at times this season & today he's working Joekle over.

He's also looked really good in coverage. Probably our best true 3-4 OLB & not that hybrid dog Wade was trying to make him.

Whitney has truly benefited from Vrabel & RAC's coaching.

He was going into his 3rd season.. the same Clowney will be during the up coming draft.. He had 6 sacks as a situational pass rusher (only had 4 starts) as a rookie.. had 7 sacks his sophomore year. I don't get the bust label

I remember when Drew Brees played for the Chargers and he was tagged as a disappointing underachiever even after a few years in the league.

Don't blame the Bengals. Texans up 20-3 at half. Win and we're in. Lose and it's our own fault.

Obviously I was joking around. But it would be nice to rest starters coming out of halftime instead of having to keep playing.

So yeah. Stupid Bengals.

Which is probably what the Bengals and the Patriots are doing, and probably what the Chiefs will do. The Jets have no excuse; they need this one.

Clowney first needs to keep his ass on the field (his biggest problem) then they can figure out what stance they should play him in.

See, I think that's part of the problem. We've seen players who don't play their natural position turn to glass.

Clowney is a quick twitch player whose muscle memory expects certain things out of him. He's getting hit in different ways, he's moving in different ways and I think his body is responding to the negative.

I like the call to go for it on 4th and perhaps the shoe to the throat, not so much a fan of the called play.

Polk's another guy I don't get their infatuation with. He flashes when it doesn't much matter and comes up short when you just have to have a few yards.

It's amazing how bad Hoyer looks even facing one of the worst defenses in the NFL. He better step it up if we want to win a play off game......I mean Weeden can look this average without trying.

I just can't believe how **** Hoyer is. He can be having a statistically nice day and you still look at it and can't help thinking "He's doing OK but he's still a bit **** and something bad is going to happen" and then it does.

Yep, he has "game manager" stats written all over him, until he does something a "game manager" with limited ability can NOT do.
