Mixon is long gone in the 2nd.im changing my vote to Mixon. He's a first round talent and I don't give a dam about the incident. There is no one at any position with as much talent as him. Its a 4th round pick.
For experiment's sake -- I've posted 2 threads w/ bpa ranked by position in one and by overall ranking in another. I'll keep it updated as I update my spreadsheet and list at the top when the list has been updated. If it doesn't work -- no biggie, but I'll give it a shot and see if it's helpful.
PS, It's from cbssports -- so don't blame me for the rankings or the position descriptions if you disagree.
Hmm...try NFL. But then again Google might show naughty floosies and lesbians.I just googled "best slot receiver" and google suggested the next word should be "prostitutes". WTH google!? I was looking for the word "prospects".
Johnson has 5 votes, the rest of the field has 4. I would say John Johnson is the pick?John Johnson, S, Boston College (Mollywhopper, rmartin65, banned1976, WolverineFan, jradMIT)
Elijah Lee, LB, Kansas State (bah007)
Josh Harvey-Clemons, S/LB (Lucky, Texansphan)
James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh (mussop)

I'm all for it, if you can find it. Used cbssports because i could cut and paste in a spreadsheet and i ain't typing all that crap out.It would be nice to see an ECR put together,(not by us). ECR = Expert Composite Ranking, Ive seen this in fantasy baseball/football. You take like all the big boards you can find and then compile a composite ranking based on those.
At #133, Dallas Cowboys select George Kittle TE Iowa 6'4" 247lbs.
Jason Witten is likely on his last tour this coming season so they take Kittle to groom under the master.
Carlos Henderson, WR Louisiana Tech.
To me, Jason Witten has been the best TE for over a decade. He's a leader, he's a good blocker and can break your spirit if you're playing against him and it's 3rd down. If I'm the Cowboys, I hang on to him after his professional playing career has ended. He'd make a great receiving coach.
Kittle is a good blocker, a tough guy with broad shoulders and a good receiver. He'll never be Witten but I think he's going to be a really good TE.
Must have been an outlier, Kittle has had a great draft process and he is a good blocker and receiver. Has plus athleticism.Ranked 396/400 on the big board I am using.
I get the feeling after the first 100 guys or so its a complete and utter crap shoot

Hold on. Just checked my board. Elijah Lee is still available? That's who I want.
Lee is interesting. I think he is a 3rd-4th rd prospect however was not invited to the combine. It is very rare for power 5 conference prospects who dont get combine invites to be drafted. Wondering what we are not seeing?

Undersized for a traditional LB in most eyes. Not athletic enough for a nickel player.
I disagree with both but those are the negatives I hear on him consistently.
The whole draft is a crap shoot. That's why I look at every draft, especially in round 1 as what does my team need most of all. So if in this draft we have the chance of drafting Bolles or any of the top linemen versus best QB available I'm going QB (which is entirely opposite to what Rick Smith and company do). The QB has the most upside in helping the team than a offensive lineman.
Bottom line is, an offensive lineman is just as likely to bust as a QB. Whether in the top 100 or later.
I guess they dont take instincts into play. The way Lee passes guys off in zones and seems to have a feel for where the ball is going is top notch. You cant teach that. I would rather have that in a LB than a guy who runs a 4.5. BTW, Lee's not slow, he runs in the 4.6's. You're also going to get a guy with a chip on his shoulder who atleast will be a very good ST''s guy and there's alot of value in that.
In short I like Lee

Lee ran a 4.72 at Pro Day which is slightly slower than I expected but not a slow time at all. That's a solid time for a LB. He also vertical jumped 38' which would have been #1 among LB's at the Combine and Broad Jumped 122' which is just behind athletes like Zach Cunningham and Blair Brown. 3-Cone and Shuttle time were also on par with Cunningham. He's an athlete.
He's a stud. He's also put on weight which might affect his timed runs. Played this year around 215. I think he's above 225 now.
He and Jordan Willis are both being categorized as guys that Bill Snyder made. It's kind of odd but they aren't getting their due credit as athletes because their coach is so good.

Despite all the love he is still available 4th rd. back end of compensatory picks. I'll pass, let him become a Texan![]()
Pittsburgh Steelers select Vince Biegel - OLB, Wisconsin
![]()
Steelers double dip at LB. With James Harrison retiring soon and Lawrence Timmons leaving in FA they need reinforcements. Biegel is a versatile edge player who can also play inside. He's a great athlete who can play in space and is a phenomenal run stopper who is also adept at dropping into coverage. His biggest weakness is that he lacks the elite explosion and pass rush moves of the other top edge players in this class. However, because of his motor and versatile skill set he's a perfect fit in a 3-4 as a SAM backer and can also play ILB in a pinch.
IMO he was Wisconsin's best defensive player the last 3 years but he got injured this year and sort of become a forgotten man because of T.J. Watt's emergence. He reminds me of Mike Vrabel. I know that's very high praise but he combines the same tenacity, work ethic, and versatility. Personally I think his overall skill set makes him 2nd round worthy but because he's more of a utility knife than expert pass rusher he's likely to fall into 3rd/4th round range.

You know I looked at Lee really hard for the Niners as a Will, and I just couldn't get in on him. He's blocked easily on running plays, and when he is free to the ball carrier he doesn't bring any thump. Lee can chase and cover, so maybe he can take that weight off and become an in the box safety. But, I like my SS to bring some thump, too. Right now, I see Lee as a nickel LB/special teamer.Totally agree with you. I like Lee as much as anybody. I think he's a three down ILB in our system. Perfect compliment to McKinney. Would allow us to move Cushing outside to SAM.
I think he's going to be exceptional. Wouldn't be surprised at all if some team took him in the late 2nd or early 3rd.
