This team still has more holes than your typical Houston street.Losing Metchie hurt. But even if Metchie were healthy, this would be a bottom half WR group. This will take time. A lot of time.

You got your wish. Both are on the PS.With the waiver claim of Tyler Johnson we just improved the wide receiver corps. Johnson > Conley.
I would like see Johnny Johnson III and Jalen Camp on the PS.
I dont believe this.Losing Metchie hurt. But even if Metchie were healthy, this would be a bottom half WR group. This will take time. A lot of time.
Cooks and Burkhead had 20 targets between them....Nico was targeted 3 times and brought it in twice. I'd like to see them diversify the targets a bit more so Mills doesn't become dependent on Cooks getting open and check down to Burkhead if he can't. I was pleasantly surprised with Moore and figured he should be getting more targets. I believe Howard could open the seam pass in the next few weeks and help the running game immensely.Nico still not much of a factor in this offense. 12 of 15 games now where he’s had 3 or fewer catches in a game. 9 of 15 where he’s had 4 or fewer targets.

I think if Cooks went to the Texans asking for a trade prior to the latest contract extension, the team would have considered it. The problems now are the $24 million in dead money the Texans would incur in a trade and the $18 million guaranteed contract in 2023 the team that trades for Cooks would have to accept.I'm just going to leave this here... Deeply speculative based on tweets Brandin Cooks liked, but talk he's on the move before the trade deadline heating up.
Great post and insight.I think if Cooks went to the Texans asking for a trade prior to the latest contract extension, the team would have considered it. The Texans have under $3 million in cap space. They would have to cut players on the roster in order to trade Cooks. These clowns on the radio never consider that when making these lame proposals.
didn't he play for the Texans few years ago no?
Tyron Johnson never played for the Texans, but was in camp and on the practice squad for a while.didn't he play for the Texans few years ago no?
oic thx thought I heard of his name but not very much so that explains itNever played, but was in camp and on the practice squad for a while.
Cooks, Dorsett, & Moore, I would think. So with Tyrod now being signed Nico out and Cooks trade rumors who are the 3 WRs starters next game?
oic at least they are also now getting some more TE support vs earlier this year try to straighten out the WR situationCooks, Dorsett, & Moore, I would think.
Yeah, like that's not confusing at all.so now the Texans will have Tyrod and Tyler Johnson both similar first names same last names no?
didn't he play for the Texans few years ago no?
It appears he's been bounced around a lot. Wonder how long out or significant Nico injury is? MRI today? It looks like starters is what Lucky said Cooks, Dorsett, & MooreYes back in 2019
Hmmmmm... unless he's talking about his personal life here, something seems to be cooking. Perhaps there's some consternation behind the scenes between Cooks and management that hasn't been made public. What is he really saying
The Packers and Rodgers are desperate right now. Their best receiver is hurt and could miss some time.Cooks trade rumors but lots of calls a fact to the Texans. He's got that new big contract possible hinderance but if a team really wants him and willing to trade some good stuff for example player and a high draft choice maybe ya neva kno.
They would have to restructure or extend his contract againCooks trade rumors but lots of calls a fact to the Texans. He's got that new big contract possible hinderance but if a team really wants him and willing to trade some good stuff for example player and a high draft choice maybe ya neva kno.
okay and then just read this prediction or opinion of need Titans trade for Cooks https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-trade-deadline-one-move-each-contender-should-make-to-get-over-hump-bills-go-all-in-for-kareem-hunt/ar-AA13mC96The Packers and Rodgers are desperate right now. The Rams are in need of a receiver too.
oic yea restructure would have to be in the planThey would have to restructure or extend his contract again
There is no way I would do that trade. Not enough value in it for the Texans, and definitely not to a division rival. Cooks and a high 6th round pick for their mid to low 5th and 6th? Nope. There are other teams that would give more.okay and then just read this prediction or opinion of need Titans trade for Cooks https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-trade-deadline-one-move-each-contender-should-make-to-get-over-hump-bills-go-all-in-for-kareem-hunt/ar-AA13mC96
Hopefully this happens and he gets 5-8 carries per game.imo because of this WR situation we may see more of RB Dare Ogunbowale. He played very well in 4th qtr and caught several passes for some yards.
He's gone. What is he really saying
I like this, world class speed.![]()
Texans Signing WR Tyron Johnson
According to Adam Schefter, the Texans are signing WR Tyron Johnson to their active roster. He actually got his start with Houston as an undrafted free agent, and has since bounced around to a numbernfltraderumors.co
I doubt that any of that foolish speculation happensokay and then just read this prediction or opinion of need Titans trade for Cooks https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-trade-deadline-one-move-each-contender-should-make-to-get-over-hump-bills-go-all-in-for-kareem-hunt/ar-AA13mC96
With that kind of speed, we should be able to really mix up the offense. Teams would never know which WR is going deep on any given play, while the others run slants and crosses. Could be a dangerous offense if used right.I like this, world class speed.
I could see Tyler Johnson, Moore and Dorsett as the starters and Tyron playing more as he learns the offense.
I don't know. Could mean that he's getting traded... or it could mean that he's stuck here with us.What is he really saying
The question is will Pep actually do that? With that kind of speed, we should be able to really mix up the offense. Teams would never know which WR is going deep on any given play, while the others run slants and crosses. Could be a dangerous offense if used right.
Yeah, that's my question too. I don't have a lot of faith in Pep to use his players right. The question is will Pep actually do that?
I think my baseline is a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year. There is no way I would do that trade. Not enough value in it for the Texans, and definitely not to a division rival. Cooks and a high 6th round pick for their mid to low 5th and 6th? Nope. There are other teams that would give more.
Now, I would trade Cooks for the right price, and since there have been 5 teams reportedly interested in Cooks, maybe we can get a slight bidding war going for him, and maybe get a 3rd or better.
a 2nd for Cooks a few years ago? Sure. This year, I don't see it. Cooks hasn't played very well this season, so I don't really expect any more than a 4th, but would love a 2nd or 3rd. If we can get better than a 4th, I'm making the trade.I think my baseline is a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year.
Start there and if it returns two thirds go for it.
But I wouldn’t go much lower than that.
Cooks is still a top receiver in the NFL at his age.
If he clears waivers, I wonder if they'll try to bring him back on the practice squad. I wonder if he just wasn't picking up the playbook.Wow

idkn but Tyler and Tyrod Johnson's names gets me turned around at times lolIf he clears waivers, I wonder if they'll try to bring him back on the practice squad. I wonder if he just wasn't picking up the playbook.
Probably a combination of playbook and lack of special teams value. Disappointed with how his stint here turned out.If he clears waivers, I wonder if they'll try to bring him back on the practice squad. I wonder if he just wasn't picking up the playbook.
I don't know but I'm guessing it's not Future lyrics. What is he really saying
