I definitely understand that and think that is great. That is called discussion in my opinion. Often, I throw out a controversial post just to get responses that might change my thinking.

I think the league as a whole is deep at receiver and only going to become more so with how the college game is going. I'm not really sure which team is using Jonnie Johnson as a #3 personally.

I don't really think the point of Sko is to really be much of a receiver at all. He's at best a #6 and shouldn't see the field on offense.

For him it's all about how he is on teams.
 
Everyone is available. What's the return? If we got a day two pick...ya I'm likely making that deal. For a high day 3 pick (4th), probably not but would consider...lower than that, and I'll pass.

This cat has upside so I like the player more than the asset, especially given that Diggs is likely a one year rental. They can plug Metchie into the void left by Diggs.

Yeah, if Mechie could become a solid wide receiver three on next year's roster that would definitely lower the need to pick up a wide receiver by day two in 2025.
 
I’d let him go for a 7th if that was all we could get. Teams aren’t going to overpay for a person who developed cancer while recovering from a serious injury. I just want some kind of value in return because I’m afraid of outright cuts and not getting anything in return. Our corps are too deep.

You seriously think there is a chance Metchie gets cut tomorrow? There are teams asking about him. Caserio may pull off a deal that makes it a no brainer, but there is 0% chance the Texans outright cut him. They want him on this team, but I do believe they would listen for the right deal. And it won't be a 7th.

I consider Metchie to be our #4 WR so I definitely wouldn't be taking a 7th rounder for him.. If a team is offering a 3rd or 4th rounder then maybe.

He was asking him do he think or hope he gets cut. Lol that’s the way I read it.

I don’t think Sandman wants him to get cut. That’s why he asked him was he serious.

Zero chance doesn't read like thinks/hopes Metchie gets cut.
I'm not trying to take sides but it is interesting how we can read something and get different meanings from it.

Big problems. Thank -you- for using the back slash. Now I get what he’s angling for. I initially read it as if i was being mocked for my opinion then degraded as a person with the poor grammar as my post was clear.

I was saying to Nitro that IMO when he says he thinks Metchie could get cut what he really means is that he hopes Metchie gets cut. In other words, there isn't anything coming out from DeMeco that says Metchie is at risk to be cut. And while anything is a possibility (percentages are never zero) it is highly unlikely.

But Nitro holds a particular opinion about the lack of value Metchie brings to the roster. And I respect that even if I don't agree with it. All I was saying that whether it is truly what he thought was an actual possibility based on any messaging coming from the team, or something he just hoped happens because he doesn't see why they would keep him around, we will know sometime this afternoon.
