I've often wondered why a team doesn't draft 3 Zone Read QB's and when one goes down you keep the same offense, that way you can make it thru the season.
So it's hard enough finding one..let alone 3 QBs who successfully can.Kyle Shanahan-
"the issue is it’s hard to find a quarterback who can run that offense"
.all I want to do is what a damn football game without all of this other crap we now have to deal with constantly.
We? Honestly I always thought the whoohoo we honor the vets was self-serving BS to begin with.
You were on the cheerleading squad?
So you object/objected to all the patriotic stuff before and during games?
Just there for the game right?
At this point yes, get rid of it all. It's no longer worth the bullshit.
I just want to watch a damn game where for 1 day I can unplug from all the crap for 3 hours
Next you're wanna get rid of all the commercials![]()

Forced honor is no honor at all.
Push comes to shove I'd rather honor people speaking up even if I disagree with what they say.
The decision to extend McKinney under reasonable terms as this would appear to be is a nobrainer for GM Gaine while resigning McKinneys more high-profile defensive
teammate JD Clowney is problematic.
Forced honor is no honor at all.

Anyone else find it interesting that BMack got his contract before Clowney? Throw in this latest surgery and we'd be fools not protecting our future. I still think Clowney has DMVP potential but those knees will always be a concern.
Kendricks is a similar level of player who signed a similar level contract with Minnesota earlier this offseason. There was a comparable contract already in place for negotiations and it is a much smaller number than Clowney will command (with no baseline set by players like Khalil Mack/Aaron Donald).
https://texanswire.usatoday.com/201...m_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=pos2headlineTexans coach Bill O’Brien angrily brushed aside any allegation that star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was carted off during Wednesday’s practice session.
“Nobody got carted off,” O’Brien declared dismissively in his post-practice presser. “Maybe he got a ride. I don’t know. I didn’t see anybody get carted off. I don’t think he got carted off. He got a ride. However you want to phrase it, I think he’s fine.”
The incident in question was not captured on any film and was not reported on social media by any media members in attendance.
The Texans are now done with all on-field work until training camp in West Virginia next month.
To me it's more so that our GM was openly stating that we were close and then radio silence. Just odd to me is all.

Benardrick McKinney .@bm1157 on Texans strength coach Luke Richesson: 'He's awesome. It's really unbelievable how he's transformed my body. I feel like I did back in high school and college. I feel like I can run all day. I feel a lot more explosive. I'm ready for the season.'
I've only met a couple of military vets that are upset about the whole anthem thing. I disagree with them using only the anthem to voice this protest. If it's really that important, be more proactive and do some real community outreach things.Forced honor is no honor at all.

It shows me that at least the FO is thinking. Definite improvement. One wonders what Clowney thinks of the McKinney deal.
Says a lot about what FO might be thinking.
The Rob Gronkowski trade talks were real, according to multiple reports, but cooler heads eventually prevailed. We don’t know how close the New England Patriots came to trading their all-everything tight end, but there certainly were conversations, according to reports. First, there was a report the Patriots had talks with the Tennesee Titans and San Francisco 49ers about Gronkowski. Now, on Monday, The MMQB’s Albert Breer reported on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd” that the Patriots also talked to the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans about a trade for the seemingly disgruntled tight end. “I don’t think they were shopping Gronk to the entire league, but there were some teams they trust that I know they talked to. Detroit, Tennessee, Houston, San Francisco — you guys can make the connections there,” Breer said. The “connections,” of course, are obvious. Lions general manager Bob Quinn used to work for the Patriots, as did new Lions head coach Matt Patricia. Former Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is the head coach in Houston. The Titans are in their first year under new head coach — and former Patriots linebacker — Mike Vrabel, while GM Jon Robinson spent more than a decade in Foxboro. There’s familiarity with the 49ers, too, as the two teams made the blockbuster trade for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo last season. Patriots coach Bill Belichick is friendly with Kyle Shanahan (dating back to Belichick’s admiration for Shanahan’s father, Mike), and general manager John Lynch even had a cup of coffee with the Patriots toward the end of his career.
We were in talks with NE for Gronk according to Breer
IIRC, a few wanted him as a mid round (4th or 6th) pick last draftThe Houston Texans claimed the following player off waivers from the Cleveland Browns:
Roderick Johnson T 6-6 300 22 2 Florida State
The Houston Texans waived the following player:
Kendall Calhoun T 6-7 300 23 R Cincinnati
Not sure if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing. Hmmm...Kareem Jackson to safety for those not wanting to press a key

It's a good thing, he's played inside before and he's a physical corner. It'll also add years onto his career.
The real question is...can Kevin Johnson finally become a dependable corner?
NFL.com"It's kinda' rough man, they got us where they think they want us," Boston told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Friday. "For us, we have to communicate with each other so we don't take this minimum wage."
Boston, 25, spent last year with the Chargers after toiling for the Panthers from 2014 to 2016. The former Panthers defender is mired in a dead safety market along with Eric Reid, Kenny Vaccaro and Mike Mitchell.
Boston has met with the Colts and Cardinals, saying of his Indianapolis visit: "I didn't meet with the [general manager], [head coach] or [defensive coordinator]. I was in the lunch room for [two] hours. I even got to play basketball."
As for his Cardinals meet-and-greet, Boston told Sirius: "They rolled out the red carpet for me, but the offer was very, very disrespectful."
"People think that you can find safeties anywhere,"one former defensive coordinator told NFL Network's Bucky Brooks. "Listen to how people always talk about aging cornerbacks moving inside to safety when they lose their athleticism. Sure, some guys can do it, but there's a lot more that goes into the position than some realize. You have to be smart and a communicator to play in the back end. You also need to be a solid tackler in the open field.
"You can't just throw anybody in there and expect them to have success."
Boston has one thing going for him. Camp is around the corner, which means a sea of injuries will unfold. That alone will force coaches league-wide to acknowledge available safeties after an offseason full of disrespect.
I've waited a long time to see this move finally happen. Funny thing, if he shines as a Safety a lot of us will be able to toot our horn b/c we knew the Texans should've made this move years ago.
Even if it works out now it doesn't mean it would have been the right move years ago.
Yeah as much as I did not want KJ drafted he toughed it out as a corner. IMO, it will be mostly his NFL experience that will allow him to play safety now.Even if it works out now it doesn't mean it would have been the right move years ago.
