Agreed,, who is the guy that threatens the defense deep in that group of WR's?I would keep Nico out of the GB game. We need to make sure the hamstrings will be healthy for the long term this season. Diggs, Tank, Hutchinson, and Metchie is still a better than good line up.
Plus - we should have Autry and Harrison back. Defense should be better.
Losing against a NFC game isn’t as bad an AFC one.
Tank.Agreed,, who is the guy that threatens the defense deep in that group of WR's?
2 of those teams are very surprising compared to offseason predictions. There are only 4 teams in the NFL with 4 or more wins.
Chiefs 5-0
Vikings 5-0
Texans 4-1
Commanders 4-1
Don't know if this is random but it's the off topic thread. Bring Robert Saleh to Houston and have him join our staff.
I'm seeing 31 other teams (well most of them anyway) saying the exact same thing. It'll be a tough competition.
Didn’t Saleh work with Demeco? That should be an inside track if Demeco thought bringing him in would add some value.
I don't see any reason to rock the boat with replacing coaches unless he is an o-line guru. Defense looks well coached. If he wants to be an advisor for the rest of the season, ok, but Burke and Demeco have a top 5 defense and I would not mess with it as with the young guys playing key roles and Autry/Harris eventually coming back should even be better as season grinds onThis is true. Good ole Matt Burke might be feeling some good ole pressure right about now.

Heck, time to enjoy the holidays and cash checks. Put your ego aside and enjoy all your hard work.I couldn't see him coming in for an advisor role when teams would hire him as a DC in a split second, unless he doesn't want to jump right back into coaching. He's probably already had numerous calls.

He's not dropping down that far imo.Don't know if this is random but it's the off topic thread. Bring Robert Saleh to Houston and have him join our staff.
I was just thinking about Saleh coming in as a consultant this year. I'm sure he will get another DC job somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if Shanny brought him back.My very first thought when they dumped Saleh is that if he isn’t hired as a HC next year, bring him in as DC. Him and Ryans are good friends and have a long history.
Was the SF defense different under Saleh than when Demeco was there? My very first thought when they dumped Saleh is that if he isn’t hired as a HC next year, bring him in as DC. Him and Ryans are good friends and have a long history.
But then I thought about the egos. Saleh will want to be the alpha male at any stop. He’s not doing a Matt Burke and being DC INO. Burke has the title - but everyone knows Ryans is the alpha dog and calls the plays. Burke confers, teaches, helps design the d…yes, but Ryans is the real DC here. No secret about it.
You guys think Ryans is going to just step aside and say Robert you take it from here. Call the plays, the whole nine yards.
Y’all really see that happening? I for one…do not. Ryans is as nice as the day is long, but dude has an ego. He wants his stamp on his D.

Plus we play the Jets this year. Definitely would help having him in the building that week.I was just thinking about Saleh coming in as a consultant this year. I'm sure he will get another DC job somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if Shanny brought him back.
Trap game this week?& we're playing New England. Not sleeping on them but they don't have a scary defense... not yet. Green Bay & the Colts after. .. that's all hands on deck.
After seeing him wearing the patch supporting Lebanon in the NYJ London game, I doubt he ever gets a HC job again. Dont want to talk politics. Was the SF defense different under Saleh than when Demeco was there?
I think Ryans could make it work with Saleh. I just doubt it will. We would be looking for a replacement the following year as I see him moving on to head coach elsewhere. I could see Saleh coming in as an assistant head coach for a year and keeping our current defensive coordinator.
He's of Lebanese heritage. That's all it was. Like Belichick wearing Croatian flag on his hoodieAfter seeing him wearing the patch supporting Lebanon in the NYJ London game, I doubt he ever gets a HC job again. Dont want to talk politics.
Makes sense to consider for the reasons stated above and I may be way off but for me it’s not a good idea. Just feels like too many cooks in the kitchen type thing.Don't know if this is random but it's the off topic thread. Bring Robert Saleh to Houston and have him join our staff.
I agree with you, I'm just sayingHe's of Lebanese heritage. That's all it was. Like Belichick wearing Croatian flag on his hoodie
Absolutely not. It's the most significant game in team history.Trap game this week?
Have to get the 1st franchise win in Foxboro.Absolutely not. It's the most significant game in team history.
Saleh has worn it before with NFL encouragement. I don't see it as a political endorsement or support of anything other than his heritage. He's of Lebanese heritage. That's all it was. Like Belichick wearing Croatian flag on his hoodie
Link?Absolutely not. It's the most significant game in team history.
I might be mistaken, but I don't recall any NFL HC getting fired and then going to work for another team that same year. Most of these fired HCs usually take a year off to energize, sit back, watch games and self-evaluate for their next job.I was just thinking about Saleh coming in as a consultant this year. If Saleh can have his name and skills attached to SB bound team, it would help him get another head coach job.I might be mistaken, but I don't recall any NFL HC getting fired and then going to work for another team that same year. That could be. I can't recall that either. But this is week 6, and there is a lot of football left in 2024. And I don't know how close Ryans and Saleh actually are. I can think of the pros for Saleh coming to the Texans, like keeping his name in the mix, or maybe getting a Super Bowl ring.I might be mistaken, but I don't recall any NFL HC getting fired and then going to work for another team that same year. If Saleh and DeMeco are friends I imagine a phone call or two would have been exchanged by now. That could be. I can't recall that either. I dunno but might that be the best explanation for Salem's surprise dismissal? After seeing him wearing the patch supporting Lebanon in the NYJ London game, I doubt he ever gets a HC job again. Dont want to talk politics.
No, that has nothing to do with anything.I dunno but might that be the best explanation for Salem's surprise dismissal?
Nope that be a QB named Aaron Rodgers.I dunno but might that be the best explanation for Salem's surprise dismissal?
Why do you say that?Absolutely not. It's the most significant game in team history.
With only one exception that I'm aware of all NFL teams are owned by Jews or Christians and if Steel was accurate about the former Jets HC wearing some kind of garb supporting Lebanon it's possible that the Jets owner was catering to ownerships political sentiments and/orNo, that has nothing to do with anything.
The answer is still no, that is not why Saleh was fired. None of the stuff you're pulling out of your arse is happening. And let's leave it at that. With only one exception that I'm aware of all NFL teams are owned by Jews or Christians and if Steel was accurate about the former Jets HC wearing some kind of garb supporting Lebanon it's possible that the Jets owner was catering to ownerships political sentiments and/or
also placating a very prominent candidate in the current national election.
You know sometimes business & politics spills into this NFL world we all love which might require us to put our big-boy pants on when we talk about this melting pot of issues.
If you say soNo, that has nothing to do with anything.
Not true, because if it was Hackett would be the new HC and instead Hackett got demoted. Downing is now calling plays.Nope that be a QB named Aaron Rodgers.
It's much easier for some to bury their head in the sand. With only one exception that I'm aware of all NFL teams are owned by Jews or Christians and if Steel was accurate about the former Jets HC wearing some kind of garb supporting Lebanon it's possible that the Jets owner was catering to ownerships political sentiments and/or
