In other news, grass is green and the sky is blue. .
Handwriting has been on the wall for weeks, if not months.
He will do a good job there. This is very much like Ryans coming to Houston. It’s where he belongs. I expect the Pats to be relevant again pretty quickly.
Really strange they didn’t just hire him last season. I guess Kraft really had a “succession plan” in mind with Mayo.In other news, grass is green and the sky is blue. .

Vrabel has had a good track record with coordinators so far. Two went on to become HCs (Lafleur and Smith) then the one flameout but a lot of that performance was due to the poor GM.Depends on the coordinators.
I could see Vrabel flaming out similar to McDaniels everywhere.

Or admit their mistakes and quickly move on from them.Really strange they didn’t just hire him last season. I guess Kraft really had a “succession plan” in mind with Mayo.
Like all owners, they make mistakes tinkering with their toy. What separates the good owners from the bad are the ones who let the football people do their job and stay out of it.

Jones didn't fire anyone. They were still in talks about length of contract, so there was goodwill on both sides to continue working together.Jerry Jones didn't allow Mike McCarthy to interview for the Bears HC job only to fire him days later...................Typical Jones class!!!!!!
Something that I've also heard from 2 other sources besides the one below in the Dallas organization.Jones didn't fire anyone. They were still in talks about length of contract, so there was goodwill on both sides to continue working together.
Those talks came to a head & Jones is now allowing McCarty to interview with whomever he wishes.
The charitable interpretation is this was a leverage play. The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissaro reports that length of contract was the sticking point in the negotiations, and it’s not hard to concoct a scenario in which Jones sought to choke out McCarthy’s other job prospects in order to bully him into taking a shorter, team-friendly deal. LINK: Mike McCarthy Got Fired the Cowboys Way No other team would get rid of their head coach quite like this. That's the point. By Mike Piellucci | January 13, 2025|12:37 pm
Please. The only person on the planet that loves attention more than Jerry Jones is Deion Sanders.
Looks like they've come to their senses and put a roof on the thing. It's not like God wants to watch that Shiite.
It is not a moveable roof...............and the proposed roof is clear plexiglass..............I guess the architects didn't learn anything from the Astrodome.Looks like they've come to their senses and put a roof on the thing. It's not like God wants to watch that Shiite.

Cowboys make Robert Saleh a priority after Mike McCarthy exit
A new NFL head coaching job opened up this week, and thus, another opportunity presented itself to Robert Saleh.nypost.com
I have already texted Saleh the info and phone number of slowick. They got to find him an OC.
In the Astrodome, they had to paint the plexiglass white because of the heat and the glare...............not to mention, that the plexiglass wouldn't allow the planted grass to grow anyway.Wouldn’t that just magnify the heat?
Random thought. What is it about the Steelers front office that they can find WR talent like Antonio Brown, Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson and now George Pickens who start off their Steelers careers with so much promise and then they go totally nuts? Is it something in their psych profiles? Is it because they are not big WRs, they get concussed and their personalities change?
It's so weird and it has happened too frequently to be a coincidence.
With grow lights I don't think the grass would be a problem these days. Real Madrid keep their grass field in an underground structure with artificial lighting when not used.In the Astrodome, they had to paint the plexiglass white because of the heat and the glare...............not to mention, that the plexiglass wouldn't allow the planted grass to grow anyway.
Since the proposed stadium is anticipated to have artificial turf, that will not be a factor. The heat generation and glare would remain a concern. With grow lights I don't think the grass would be a problem these days. The Dallas Cowboys have become a combination of the Kardashians & the Harlem Globetrotters.
So the same as every Dallas season for the past 30 years. This will end badly.
