CBS didn’t pay for Thursday gamesNot saying that isn't possible, but that would seem a little screwy if CBS has paid for the rights, and another broadcast network gets benefits of the game.
You are correct. Since 2006 when the NFL started showing Thursday Night Football, CBS, NBC and most recently FOX have all taken turns as broadcasters. But with ESPN or the NFL Network, those networks put the games up for bids to the local stations for the right to air them.CBS didn’t pay for Thursday games
Heineke looks like the Redskins QB of the future.
To think he used to be a Texan.
He's a Romo clone. But we'll see...
Hell it seems anything since 1990 is recent news. But I look up & realize that was 31 years ago.
if Marty McFly was to get into the Delorian today and travel back the same amount of time as in the first movie, he’d reappear in 1991
I don't know how accurate this is but on my Uverse guide I show it on NBC (channel 2 in Houston).
Channel 2 just ran an ad for the TNF game. It's on the air in H-Town.I don't know how accurate this is but on my Uverse guide I show it on NBC (channel 2 in Houston).

It's not the play. The play shown occurred near the end of the 1st half. Cook left and came back that game several times. The play in question occurred in the 4th Q. I just found a good view of the play by someone who agrees with my analysis. If this is the play in question, I'm trying to figure out Watt's role in it...
Yep looked like a dirty play by our former hero.Whether same Watt fans like it or not, in the NFL, tackling must only entail contact below the shoulders and above the knees.
Looking at the video, there is no doubt that Watt went straight for Cook's the lower leg.................then at the end gave his foot/ankle a nice little outward twist........I have little doubt the this resulted in a high ankle sprain.
Understandable? Try to injure an opponent and put him out of NFL?Watt grew up a Green Bay fan so it’s understandable that he would play that way against the Vikings.
It looks like Watt was already heading to the ground or on the ground when he is trying to make that tackle. I guess I'm confused, is he not supposed to try and tackle him? That sentence you mentioned about tackling below the shoulders and above the knee, I could only find on Wikipedia referring to Australian rules football. I am only aware of the rule against hitting a passer at or below the knee which is roughing the passer in the NFL rulebook. It's not the play. The play shown occurred near the end of the 1st half. my manning feed through ATT fiber seems to be 9ish seconds behind ESPN on DirecTV.
[edit] how much of that is dump buffer, how much of that is just bandwidth issues?

That forceful twist at the end is what was not necessary. It would have added nothing to the tackle except injury.Didn’t mean the way I typed it. I didn’t look at the videos (still haven’t) and I thought it was just a low hit. That commonly happens.
Not a targeting purposeful hit or anything of that nature.
I quite enjoyed it. Sure, a few lulls here and there, but it's still new and pretty raw. Lots of guests this time. Gronk doesn't watch film, apparently he shows up and Brady tells him who to outrun. Pat McAfee must be consuming an entire pharmacy's allotment of adderol, but he's great in the 3rd or 4th quarter when the game can kinda lag. Brett Favre must've been on dialup. those kinda stood out to me.Hey,
I didn’t get to watch on Monday Night, how were the Mannings for this one?

Wentz is supposedly trying to practice today. As I've found out, he has a right high-ankle sprain and a left low ankle sprain. Reports are that he may try to play Sunday. That would be a recipe for worse things to come.
Rest easier?Indy can rest a little easier tonight knowing that its starter should be in the lineup against Tennessee.
