Tonight NFLN is showing "In Their Own Words '70's Steelers." I think I'm going to check that out in hopes of seeing a little Oiler blue here and there.

This cracked me up!

Bill Belichick’s response today to concerns from the NFL about the cost of installing sideline cameras is tremendous.

Tania Ganguli on ESPN re. SB odds:

The Texans have remained at 30-1, second in the division to the Indianapolis Colts who checked in at 25-1 on April 7. Tuley cited Indianapolis as a team that might be worth a flier, "unless the Texans finally play up to their potential." The Titans' Super Bowl odds are 60-1 and the Jaguars' are 200-1.

For those of you who did not happen to catch yesterday's McClain segment on 610..........when asked about changing his mock drafts so many times, he came out and outright admitted that he does this to stir controversy for the sole purpose of getting "hits" for him and the Chronicle. There can be no doubt remaining that McClain has deteriorated from an occasionally credible source of information to the status of the ultimate Texans "Hit Whore."

It's a mock draft.....

Nobody looks at a mock draft thinking that's the way the teams are going to pick.

A mock draft is not a source of information... it's a conversation starter. Nothing more.

Yep.

Chron's new Texans beat writer Brian T. Smith confirmed again (on Buffalo radio station) what McClain has quietly admitted but never put onto paper that "they" have zero special knowledge about what's going on at 2 Reliant Park and that any reports of leaks from within the organization... like by "a scout"... are complete b.s.

OB is running a tight ship. Anyone who violates confidentiality will be fired.

For the most part McClain only comes out of his cave to pump Johnny Manziel. Manziel and his people regularly call "prime" media members. He and Gil Brandt speak as much as every other day. It's a new normal -- powerless media/powerful media machines/muddy waters.

Au contraire. People will be reacting to draft picks and making steal or reach comments for years based on where prospects were mocked.

Even so, voicing those reach/steal/value comments are still just more "conversation".
So you're both right.

At least Tom Brady is having the last laugh. Being picked to the near to last bottom. Look at where he is at now.:bravo:

Something going on there... CTE or addiction or something.

Didn't Kosar have some problems with alcohol in the past and fairly recently? He came in drunk to do his commentary on several occasions. And I can't remember if it was him, but didn't he hand a policeman a credit card instead of his license when he was stopped for DUI last year?

Yeah I've read that he was "drunk", but not sure that's all it is.

Yeah I've read that he was "drunk", but not sure that's all it is.

I remember he was diagnosed with CTE by a Dr. with questionable reputation some time ago (strange since diagnosis can't be made in vivo), and treated successfully for his symptoms of chronic headache and insomnia by him. But chronic headaches and insomnia are the symptoms of "simple" post concussion syndrome, and have been successfully treated as such. Patients treated for potential CTE symptoms (with later confirmed postmortem diagnosis) have not shown successful treatments thus far.

Looks like the Buffalo Jills are being forced to shut down ala the Derrick Dolls due to "inappropriate" business practices, including failure to pay their $8 minimum wage, and exposing them to "degrading" treatment at community events.link

Patricia Traina @Patricia_Traina
And with that transaction, it further fuels my belief that Ryan Nassib is on the trading block.

The Giants announced they've signed FA QB Rusty Smith.

Looks like Ray Rice will get a pat on the knuckles, community service and anger management by the law. It will be interesting to see if and what he gets by the League.

The CFL is seriously considering allowing pass interference calls to be reviewed and non-calls to be reviewed for a possible penalty. Seeing that not uncommonly some of these instances have changed the end results of games in the NFL, it would be nice to see this change being affected by our own League.

Yes, but...

....and another review...

Speaking of the community service stuff, I think they should make these pro athletes pick up trash on the road so we can hang around in crowds and make fun of them. :)

Ponder is now set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2014 season.

Source tells @FOXSports1 that @Vikings declined to pick up 5th-year contract option on QB Christian Ponder #asexpected #nosurprise

Villanueva's one of those guys you could imagine becoming president some day. Fascinating guy to talk to.

Eagles have signed US Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva to a contract. He'll play DE. I did a story on him last month: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...combine-army-veteran-giving-nfl-one-last-shot …

Eagles sign US Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva, who served last four years as active member of US Army, including 3 tours in Afghanistan.

So I carpooled in with a lady and we talk football and the discussion turns to David Carr and I said I hope this draft pick goes better than that one because he wasn't very good. She took exception and said the team ruined him. I agreed but added that Carr didn't put in the hours studying film to get better. His own teammates said that. She said he was a family man and should be with his family. I said there are other QB's that are family men, but they put in extra time to be great. She said some people just don't like him because he was religious. I said Tebow was an awful because he was just wasn't good enough not because he was religious. She really didn't like that. Good lord. Carr and Tebow apologists are the worst.

soooo how far did you have to walk to finally get to work?
:D

I have learned to never dis David Carr in front of any of his female fans.
It will not end well.

I picked her up at the park and ride. She was an older woman around 50's or older. But she also had that old lady smell that I hate. So for that reason alone I won't give her a lift anymore more than because she's a FanGram of Carr/Tebow.

ProBowler DT Marcell Dareus, after Bills extended his 5th year option last week was arrested last night for felony possession of controlled substance (supposedly synthetic marijuana-i.e., "spice") and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.........Add speeding to that, the reason he was pulled over to begin with........dumb ass.

Spice is akin to the junk weed they used to sell us kids in the 1970s that was sprayed with PCP. Dude, pony up for some real non-habit-forming marijuana. If not, just spray some weed killer into your mouth.
