Moulds Trade Official

ok im done with 610 for today :).. I got about 5 minutes of Astro's talk.. and about 10 minutes of some lady singing about how to use the restroom, clean your bathtub, brush your teeth..etc..etc..

NFL Total Access just regurgitated everything that's been said here.....That the station in Philly is reporting, but no word from the Texans or the Bills that an agreement has been reached.

790: Verbal agreement between Texans and Moulds. Deal will (likely) be finalized Monday. Are we gonna sit here hitting "Reload current page" that long? :)

dear lord lets hope not

Y'all can go home. We will leave the light on for you folks. The board will still be up and running unless we get a flood of Eagle fans. If that happens it could get ugly in here. :)

This is now the most viewed thread in teh MBs history, yet it is still not the most posted.

If teh Moulds ordeal drags out till Monday it'll break all records.

Bob Allen on channel 13 just said that its all but a done deal and they are just working with Buffalo on the compensation

Moulds Dealing With Texans
Last Update: 3/30/2006 7:31:25 PM

Houston, TX (3/30/06) Eric Moulds asked to be traded out of Buffalo and the 10-Year Bills veteran may just get his wish. Houston Texans General Manager Charley Casserly told KTRK television in Houston that a verbal agreement has been reached with Moulds, however, Casserly stressed that there are still "many dots to be connected."
Moulds was expected to get $7.1 million if he stayed in Buffalo this season. Sources tell 13WHAM News that it would be a multi-year deal for Moulds to join the Texans and that Buffalo would receive Houston's 4th or 5th round pick in this April's draft. Those picks would work out to be the 97th or 129th overall.
When contacted by 13WHAM News, Bills Vice President of Communications, Scott Berchtold, said the team had no comment.

I think it's a good sign that Scott had no comment :yahoo:

When dallas was trying to sign TO. The cowboys message board had to make a new forum just for TO.

If they are haggling between us giving our 4th or 5th rounder, maybe we should give them our 5th (#134) and then to sweeten it up just a touch we could swap 4ths with them (our #98 for their #105).
I would rather give just the 5th of course, but this plan keeps us near the top of round 4 and gives them more than just a 5.

I say just give the 4th, that means Philly would have to give at least a 3rd round pick to beat our deal since we have the 1st pick of each round which they probably wouldn't do.

I agree. Just give them want they want.

Via 790: Moulds has verbally agreed to a 4 year, $12 million deal with a $4-5 million signing bonus. The deal is contengant on a physical. Compensation still unknown.

I saw this on another site and thought I'd give yall some new info

We not signing him to an offer sheet. We are trading for him. He will be released if he is not traded. We should give them at 5th at the earliest. Philly offered a 6th.

I posted somewhere else that Houston has already seen one 35 year old receiver log 1000 yards, so there shouldn't be any reason why we should be apprehensive about this 33 year old, considering his history.

(not to mention Rod Smith who, I'm sure has been brought up a million times in this debate)

Also, why not offer our 5th and 6th round picks this year? They're practically a 4th and 5th right? I agree that by offering our 4th round pick the Eagles would have to give up a 3rd and I don;t see them doing it; but I would also love to keep our 4th (practically a 3rd). JMO.

Who?

This is what my friend who is a Bills fan said to me about EM coming here:

I think he has a lot of catches left in him. I am not completely happy over the prospect of losing him, shall we say. He hada lot more catches in the second half of the season, when Holcomb was the QB. J.P. Losman's favorite target was Lee Evans.

7M a year is a little steep, though.. He would not redo his contract, and he is getting a little pouty over not getting a champeenship ring, which is not going to happen immediately with the Texans either...but it is closer to his Mississippi home. He was a "good soldier" type until this past season, when he was becoming a problem..suspended one game for "detrimental conduct", which was never explained. I thought maybe he'd be happy since head coach Mike Mullarkey was canned, but no...he got po'd over the very idea of restructuring his contract, yet appears to be willing to take a pay cut to sign with a team with no immediate Super Bowl hopes....although at this rate, the Texans will get there before the Bills do.

Hard times for Bills fans. I have yet to see any brilliant offseason moves. If we don't draft smart at the end of the month, we may draft 1st next year.

Either we give the 4th round pick and get Moulds or if the Bills don't want the 5th they release him and let him hit free agency and we kiss him goodbye and cross our fingers and hope to find a WR in the draft that can come in and be our #2...

Why would the Bills rather release him than get a 5th round pick?

probably when you were in elementary school but relevant nonetheless...
The Texans were started in 2002. :sarcasm

Moulds wants out of Buffalo, so the Bills don't have leverage.

.

Notice I said, "Houston has already seen..." Some people may not care but we did have the NFL here for 30 something years before the Texans.

Ok, so the reports say he got a 4 yr. deal worth 12 mill. With a 4-5 mill. signing bonus. My question would be is that signing bonus included in the 12 mil. ? If it is than CC is a genious. Well I guess I should question the credibility of this, but at this point I'm to tired to do so.
