Jimmy G only had some rust in his first game back.
He threw for 4TDs without an INT the next two games before he got injured again.

Look at Watson at the beginning of the season.
He was rusted as heck.
Still, the truth about a young QB takes some time to find out. A kid comes out and plays lights out for a small sampling and people are too quick to anoint the kid the next coming of whatever super star Qb comes their mind.

With Watson and our opponents having bad days, OB is looking mighty good to the Texans organization. I, however, am NOT the Texans organization and still hold no such wonderful opinion of him.

Yes, we've won six in a row, can't argue with that. Against mostly mediocre and bad teams, we've won despite OB. I need to see this team kick serious ass on these bad teams we've been playing before I start getting all giddy about OB.

yeah, they gave up 35 points in a half for craps sake so SMH on having his team ready. Plenty of real reasons to tear on BOB, let's not fabricate ones. I have to laugh at Vance though, he had some real winners today, thanks, he must have had some love for his former team

Anyone still defending OB at this point can kiss my ass.

Texans should have lost today because of how stupid his decisions were again. Him going for it on 4th and 1 with our weak ass Oline was such an obvious bad move at the time. I knew it would haunt us and it did. Get this guy the **** out of here.

In before the "6 in a row bro" crowd comes in and praises his "grit" for going for it on 4th & 1. It was completely unecessary at the time, and the play call his slow ass called was about as inept and boring as they come. He better be thanking God that Gaine is his boy, or he would have gotten the pink slip once the game clock read 0:00 today.

How anyone can still defend him is beyond comprehension! And go somewhere else with your "the players play hard for him" bullsh*t cause that's what their ass gets paid to do anyway! If they play hard for an inept coach, imagine what they'd do under a REAL head coach?!

How did it haunt us? Did we lose?

:)

Six in a row... and this one... AT Denver. One more win and we will have matched a team from 1925 in wins after a 0-3 start. If not... only THREE teams have done what we have done in the entire history of the NFL.

*happily and sloppily kisses your pimply ass*

STFU AND SIT YO ASS DOWN and have a beer or sumthin’

WHOOOOOOOO GO TEXANS!!!

I'm going to lay off BO'b like I said. 6 in a row... that's tough. No matter how bad the schedule & we see the Broncos were more their match than not.

Our team isn't very good. Doesn't matter Brian. 6 in a row.
We do have a few holes at the moment so some credit must go to the coaches.
Going in to Mile High had me concerned.
Man, how are we winning with this oline?
I said somewhere just the other day that good pass rushing worries DW4 because of his line - how good could our O be with a strong one?
Doesn't even have to be top 5, just top 10 would suffice.
I don't think anyone on this board would have predicted 6-3 after an 0-3 start.
Have to give credit where it is due and coaches have to eat the losses, so they must also get at least some credit for wins.

Seriously dude?
We would be the laughing stock of the league.
You are however, entitled to your opinion.

I don’t think anyone is defending OB. Just that they are content at this point.

If there was a better opportunity on the table for HC I think 100% of people would take it. (Thinking Harbaugh)

But I don’t think anyone is going to take a chance on an unproven offensive/defensive coordinator or college coach when we already have that.

Yup. We went into 1 of the toughest places to play crowd wise, enviornment wise and defensive pass rusher wise............& we won.

Apparently some here expected us to go into Denver, sling it around & put up 30+ pts like the saints with 1.5 WR's, a putrid o-line and a schizophrenic run game.

Find a way to get it done..& they did.

Nomination for the stupidest post of the year award right here

The ironic thing about this is Harbaugh is getting ready to be run out of Baltimore..............b/c his offenses have been underachieving for years now with great talent....he's missed the playoffs like the last 3 years. His brother in Michigan is poised to finally break through after getting owned by meyer and OSU...................if he finally beats them this year; otherwise he has the reputation for having shitty offenses and generally underachieving with top talent on offense.

I’m not expecting us to blow every team out by 50 points but if every first down you call a run up the middle and get 1-3 yards, call something else! Not that complicated of a concept. Would’ve been a lot less third and longs with a competent OC utilizing the talent on this offense differently.

Only in the minds of fans is this true....

For the record - I was talking about the one in Michigan.

But all that being said -

I think I would take a chance on both rather than keep what we got.

Even if they both get fired.

And Baltimore fans would gladly turn him over to you to....

Bill OBrien detractors: what the heck is up with the game plan, clock management, timeout usage, challenge win % etc etc etc .....

Bill OBrien supporters: I know you are but what am I.

This place is turning into clutchfans. There's just 0 perspective, and understanding of things as they happen within the flow of a game with fa few posters around here.

Clutch site do have a bunch of morons but it also have quality posters who are very knowledgeable.

And please step down from your high horse Tex. You're tripping.

Rams were on 8 straight and on the road vs a HOF QB. Fought back down 21. This team lost to eli and who was that
Never said that....

But Texans are on a 6 game winning streak and the Rams did give up 10 points in the last few minutes of the game. Trying to compare Texans to the Rams is silly
comparing the ability to fight back down 21, Texans struggle to score 21

And yet somehow it was enough to rescue our defense from nearly giving the game away today...

I couldn’t understand all the missed tackles today. It was silly. At the same time, let’s give credit where it’s due. Keenum was clutch today. He put the ball where it was supposed to go. Sometimes you just can’t defend against a beautiful pass or two.

And Baltimore fans would gladly turn him over to you to....

Would you do a straight up trade?

HC for HC?

I would.

I am not that familiar with Harbaugh in Baltimore - but I think one of his issues the past 2 years has been Flacco and his back and his relating arm strength.

I could be wrong.

We run the ball on first down like 85-90% of the time. That is a damn fact

is that what the actual data shows? In any event, the contention is that we run the ball up the middle and on 1st down every first down. Pretty sure that us running the ball on 1st down like that is not 100%. I'm also pretty damn confident that most teams' offenses run the ball on 1st down at a pretty high clip as well...Just an educated guess on my part though.

Why is winning at Denver a big deal?
Seriously last time we there Schaub beat Peyton.

I'm an nfl fan. Don't remember Denver going 8-0 at home over and over again

Houston tough to play at. Eli manning won his last two there

I would guess most good teams are closer to 50/50 or 60/40 on first down runs. Teams are selling out vs the run on first down against us. It's so obvious when watching, not sure how you don't see it. Maybe take the blinders off?

I'm starting to believe Tex is either Bill O'Brien or a relative. Lol

I promise you im not related to BoB lol.....but at this point for me, this isn't about whether or not BoB is fired or not...As i've said, that is ordained by the football gods for a HC in the NFL as very few walk away on their own terms.

I have absolutely no problem running the ball on first down... WHEN ITS WORKING (See the Miami game). However, When it’s late in the game and you haven’t been able to get a half-ass decent run all night and you still run it almost every first down for little to no gain; try a different play! “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
