Ever since DW4 has been drafted, I've been going into the next season optimistic of the offense.
2017 - Whoa, we got this brand new QB. We should get better!
2018 - A healthy Watson, we should be awesome.
2019 - A revamped OL, Duke, our offense should be prolific.
Utilizing DVOA, our offense has improved (ranked 24, 21, 16). So technically, the offense has improved, just at a much lower rate than I expected. So once again, I expect the offense to improve, but I'm tempering expectations. To me, the performance of the OL will be the difference between a top 5 vs top 15 offense.
