3rd pre-season game vs Giants

Damn.. I didn't think about the sun glare and fan seating. Those fans should get discounted seats. Won't happen, but they should.

I'm sorry, but I can't let it go.. not even at the game and it's annoying the hell out of me. Every time I look up I see it. When a Giants player is running through it, you only see a blue helmet. They have to have a better plan than this?

Metchie? That warmed the cockles of my heart. That drive was the Metchie drive and he is now well back into the conversation to make this At said…he’s not much of a ST guy which works against him, but he FINALLY made some plays out there. Congratulations to him!

He's also just too slow for a lot of our route combinations. Can still sit and find soft spots in zones and is smart enough on scramble drill, but just can't get it done on a lot of the things we like to do in the passing game.
 
Every damn back on this roster has looked head and shoulders better than Pierce, but given his performance, I don't know what that says about them or what to take away from that other than he shouldn't be on this roster.
 
I don’t see how Woods makes the team. I don’t know if Nick could get a 7th for him, but that’s a possibility.

Metchie changed a lot of minds today, including mine and I would bet…the coaches. He’s now a favorite to make the team. It’s his coming out party just when he needed it most.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing.. He doesn't fit the zone scheme that the Texans run. Trade Pierce to a team that fits what he does and he will probably turn into the same player he was for us year #1. Get a draft pick for him and let him thrive elsewhere.
 
It’s a shame, I really like DP but for whatever reason he can’t thrive here. He’s had more than enough time to adjust but it hasn’t happened.

I don’t know what Nick can get for him, but I suspect he will be traded soon. Probably a 6th at best, more likely a 7th or might be a pick swap. Anything is better then nothing.

To me it’s Mixon, Akers, Dare for ST…and then do you carry Jawhar or Taylor as a 4th guy?

You’re lucky. I got stuck with the Giants feed and they barely acknowledge the Texans exist.

Taylor went 5/36 7 yards a pop.
Akers went 6/29 4.8 yards a pop.

That’s not bad at all.

So far we’ve gain 97 yards on the ground. Mixon will improve that for show.
