3rd pre-season game vs Giants

You’re lucky. I got stuck with the Giants feed and they barely acknowledge the Texans exist.
I was on the Giants one. They'd rather talk about a 4th string LB than whatever was actually happening on the field, or play a commercial.

Yup DP was the worst back out there today and he played with the entire first team.

There’s no way he can make this team at this point. It’s just a matter of can they get something for him or will they just have to release him. Sorry to see him go-as he is a great young man but that’s football. It’s a game of what have you done lately…and lately…he sucks.

Don’t talk about it , lol be about it.

Crank it back up.
People will just say that he doesn't have the pelts on the wall yet, so I'll just wait until people are mentioning his name as a DPOY candidate. 😁 He's that damn good, has the potential to be a great, I just hope injuries don't rob us of seeing that. I still think about players like Sean Taylor and wonder what could've been.

Really I don’t feel bad about this. It might be the best thing for his career if he goes to a team that plays to his skill set. Plus he is a decent return man. Best of luck to him.

Lol, So Metchie is definitely on the final roster.. Stroud obviously knows how to pick WRs and he gets his guys. 😁

Metchie definitely threw a monkey wrench into what I thought going into today's game. I thought he was gone, now I think he's in. That last preseason game is going to be like entering the thunderdome if you are a wr trying to clinch one of the spots outside of the top 3.

Another thing is, a lot of us had N. Brown also making the team, but with a WR group like this (easily from top to bottom) the deepest we've ever had. Does the old adage "you can't make the club from the tub" come in play?

I like Noah Brown, if he was a RB, he'd still be #2, but WR.. I do not want to make those decisions at all.. hope we can sneak someone on the practice squad.

This is where i’m at with Brown now. If the choice is Woods/Brown or Hutchinson/Metchie give me the ascending youngsters.

So that’s it from the starters?? 4 series the entire preseason?? Sorry, I just don’t like that at all. Not even a chance to work up a sweat in a game.
I can see sitting Stroud & I can understand being gun shy because of all the OL injuries before the start of last season, but there's a lot of work to be done in the run game.

If Nick can get a 2026 round 7 for Pierce he should be nominated for general manager of the year!

..and as far as Stingley goes.. I have a urge to bump that Suace/Stingley thread that depressed the hell out of me his rookie season.. If Sting can stay healthy, He's a damn beast, a physical specimen, and > than Sauce Gardner. 😁 I just hope he stays healthy.
Here's to the 'if'..

None that I could find for the texans. One of the links that I put in this thread showed, if I remember correctly three NYG injuries
I was impressed, there's certainly some luck, but I think it speaks highly of DeMeco's embrace of the new technologies (GPS-tracking, each player having individual rep counts, etc.) Particularly when you saw how many Giants went off the field.

Reports are the run game looked good except for Pierce. And that’s without the starting RB Mixon.

Y'all need to watch the meltdown on the Giants channel for Chat Sports. I admire the host's ranting ability. At one point he seems like he's about to cry.

Lol, did anyone catch it where he implied that Daniel Jones isn’t the answer? I think it was between the start and minute ten.

So on that Pitre INT it looks like Eric Murray was the 3rd safety....If Murray is ahead of Bullock then that's some pretty good depth there...

I fell asleep sometime during the second quarter to get ready for this overnight shift and when I woke up and saw the British Brooks talk I was hoping it wasn't some wide open lane type runs and he actually looked like a viable running back...And he actually did...

WR and RB will be interesting to watch how they trim the roster there...

Cam is playing against the Giants' starters there. Our 2nd string OL still not providing any lanes, he's just got the abiity to turn that thing around & get out in front of the defense. He had another run where again the OL did not provide a lane, but he was fast enough to get to the edge & turn the corner.

Pierce just doesn't have that speed. If the OL isn't providing lanes, the play is dead.

no I think the problem is Pierce doesnt have the VISION thats required in this system...he's told to hit a hole and he puts his head down and runs for that hole whether its there or not...and if its not then he just ends up running up the back of his OL which is a good way to shorten their careers as well...

The most significant thing from this past game that I want to see extended entire season is no major injuries. If that happens, we can compete with anyone on the field.
This is the major thing for me too. Last season has left me scarred and paranoid about depth because I subconsciously expect every starter to end up on IR.

Yeah I'm not really buying the excuses people are making for Pierce.

It's literally identical to what we saw last season. Pierce looks the same and the excuses are the same.

Yet somehow those excuses don't effect Akers and somehow they didn't affect Singletary.
