3rd pre-season game vs Giants

I've noticed in this game and the last he hasn't attempted to run left behind Green and Fisher who are both better run blockers. I'm wondering this is less about Pierce and more about Slowik wanting to evaluate the right side of the line.

Pierce finally picked up 5 yards when running to the left. Akers also seeing daylight there. RG seems to be a concern.

First couple of games i thought Metch was in trouble...but im thinking he makes it now...hes looked good this game, but what im really seeing is his teammates LOVE him.

Positive vibes along with his potential may earn him a spot.

We are so heavy at the WR position, I wonder if we can make a trade with a team with a depleted WR room, but deep at RB. I wonder which teams have the deepest rb depth charts.

Akers is the clear #2. Any chance DP had to make his case is now over. The comeback from the Achilles is nothing short of astounding. The COD and cuts he makes tells me he is good to go.

Metchie? That warmed the cockles of my heart. That drive was the Metchie drive and he is now well back into the conversation to make this At said…he’s not much of a ST guy which works against him, but he FINALLY made some plays out there. Congratulations to him!

I think Woods should get cut but he’s a respectable veteran so you never know…

I expect our receiving room to be
Diggs
Collins
Dell
Hutchinson
Skowronek (should be moved to tight end)
Metchie

Tight ends
Dalton
Stover
Jordan

If the Texans are keeping woods, I’m trading Metchie. I would move Brevin to rb & move skowronek to tight end to keep metchie. It’s going be some tough choices for sure

Game 2 is at night so that will help. Might be a little sun left at kickoff but not for long. Is game 3 a home game. I only have Indy and Chi on my mind.

I would have liked to seen the starters for another series or two. I am happy we suffered no major injuries to starters or premium backups in the PS. That’s a good thing. But the flip side is what will they look like in Indy? That’s 3 weeks away and this is it other than the scrimmage vs the Rams.

Usually vets who aren't going to make it get cut first out of respect so they have more time to catch on with another team of their choice. I wouldn't be surprised if Woods is a early cut.

I don’t think Ben S is big enough to play TE full time. But he can play some move TE if necessary as well as FB and WR. That versatility is probably going to buy him a spot.

I haven’t seen Brevin at RB, but that seems like a stretch. But again, highly versatile. I think if you needed him to take snaps at RB, FB, or split wide…he can do it. I actually think of him as an H-back jack of all trades type.

You forgot Noah Brown.

Makes sense. Ben is 6’3 224lbs, probably will be moved around like you said

Totally right. Noahs 4th on the dept chart. Hopefully Hutchinson remains a lock. Let’s see what happens
