6 sacks in '20. He had 39 sacks his first year as a starter in '21. He improved that with only 18 sacks in '22.
well of course he did. He might get LVR's 7 and a round 1 in 2024 but Raiders will want to hold on to 2.38. Panthers seem to be whom everyone is talking about now Geno signed and IMO David Tepper will a ravenous wolf. But why go after Bears when Colts seem to be gaining steam for Stroud where I have him going for long time? Makes more since for Tepper to get Young or even Levis at 1.2. I've had Panthers locked in on Levis and still could see him going there at 2 if Young's shoulder becomes issue I think it will. The GM said they want basically three first round draft picks. 23-25.
Sacked 53 times and he barely missed a game I believe. He seems to do well to avoid the big hitsAs much as some remain unconcerned regarding Young's build, no one is really talking about a most important stat. What shouldn't be ignored in light of his obvious lack of bulk, was that he has been sacked 53 times in the past two seasons. Every sack in the NFL is a significant risk for injury. In college, he had a great Oline, so why wouldn't that bring up to some extent the subject of "pocket awareness"?

Nobody is taking Will Levis over Anthony Richardson. That would be dumb. If you're going to take a high upside guys that has holes in the tape, you take the stud with upside to the moon. That's Richardson. If you want polish, that's Young or Stroud.well of course he did. He might get LVR's 7 and a round 1 in 2024 but Raiders will want to hold on to 2.38. Tepper may give up three ones but after Browns fiasco with DW, I don't see it.
As we get closer to 27th, I think Carolina drooling over 1.2.
My point53 sacks in two years?

Levis and Richardson noth missed more games than the dude they outweigh by 40 lbs. Go figureHe missed one game. How many did Sting miss, then get back to me with the math. All due respect to Doc, he’s been incessantly negative from jump on Bryce. The bias is obvious. Forgive me if I wait for additional confirmation before throwing the baby out with the bath water.
As of today I have Bryce 1, and CJ closing the gap but still 2. I will be thrilled with either and trust Demeco until proven otherwise.
The draft needs to hurry up & get here. All these media mocks speculating that Chicago is going to be able to trade down multiple times for a king's ransom is driving me crazy. And no matter who's picked first, they always have the Texans taking Young at 1.2. Are they not seeing the same small frame that some of us are? I find it frustrating & very funny how so many here, that complained all year long about us taking Stingley because of his lisfranc injury, are the very ones saying we have to take a QB that has an unusually small frame & has multiple shoulder injuries, as pointed out by CnD. Does anyone truly believe that the opposing NFL defenses won't bring their entire weight down on Young when they tackle him? Maybe I need to quit following these mocks & just wait until free agency & the draft. I could accomplish so much more if I do that. lol
Young threw for 321 yds, 5 TDs and 0 INTs in the Sugar Bowl. I'm reasonably certain he could have thrown at the Combine. Unless he says something in an interview, we'll never know his reason for not doing so. But there was no point in him doing so. He's not the #1 qb because of his arm talent, but because of his elite intangibles. To me the thing that isn't being talk about near enough is Young's throwing shoulder injury. I'm pretty sure that is why he didn't throw at the combine and why he is waiting for the second event at Alabama to work out. He is trying to protect how bad his shoulder is by giving it more time to heal. He knows that with his slender build, that if it became a real topic for discussion, his draft stock would tumble big time the fact that he is injured almost guarantees that we will draft him.!!! Doc has played this out in a couple of his posts.
He’s this year’s Bortles or Trubisky. Someone would.Nobody is taking Will Levis over Anthony Richardson. That would be dumb. You can get shot up for grade I A/C and rotator cuff injuries. After a shoulder subluxation, injections with physical therapy can return a player to play very quickly. But future subluxation and dislocation are not uncommon. Lastly, players often play through labral tears, but doing so can lead to very significant problems...........Andrew Luck ignored and played through a "minor" labral tear for 2 years.........eventually leading to a "shredded" labrum which resisted surgical intervention.
Any shoulder problems in the throwing shoulder of a quarterback is not a joke. And when you're dealing with what Young has already experienced in an ultra-short college career, the concern is not only for a 7 or 12 month period, it is a setup to rear its ugly head any time in the future.
The way he was walking and favouring that shoulder did not look good.Again, the number of missed games does not reflect the conclusion.
A costly sack............by video, A/C separation, subluxation, rotator cuff, likely labral injury.

Perhaps there is a sound reason Doc is out on Young - like an AC subluxation? He missed one game. How many did Sting miss, then get back to me with the math. If there is that much interest in trading up for #1, there should be almost that much interest in trading up for #2.
It's easy to take less $$$ when your wife is making more than you.but I would want a QB more like the character of Brady who would take less to have a better team around him.

Slowik says Davis Mills is a player he can work with.
Yep... Levis is the odd one out here. He will be the consolation prize for Carolina, Oakland or possibly the Titans if those teams decide not to trade up. 1-2-3 a distinct possibility as Arizona probably trades down a few spots for picks.

In my view, Indianapolis a prime spot for Richardson given that Shane Steichen is the new head coach. He saw first hand how Jalen Hurts blossomed from a raw-ish prospect into a MVP-like dual threat. He knows how to run a power-QB offense that was often unstoppable this year. Richardson fits that M.O. to a 'T'. Texans might have to deal with that for 2/year for the next 10 years, assuming he doesn't bust.
Lack of offensive weapons and a bad OL is bad for anybody - including Stroud who historically has not performed well under pressure in college.Man, Indy doesn't have a lot of pieces on offense besides Taylor and Pittman and their O line is not what it used to be either; that would be bad for Richardson
Lol historically. Man stop dressing it up as such. What have you done for me lately. Stroud performed pretty darn well under duress when playing Georgia.Lack of offensive weapons and a bad OL is bad for anybody - including Stroud who historically has not performed well under pressure in college.
Look, I've already posted the facts on Stroud a couple of times. So, I don't need to repeat it but I will one more time: Stroud was 133th in FCS (pre-GA game I believe) is passing efficiency under pressure in 2022, and something like 8th when not under pressure. That's not a small gap - that's a massive gulf. The variance was, in fact, the largest in FCS last year according to PFF. Similar dynamic in 2021.Lol historically. Man stop dressing it up as such. You’ll try to pick anything to knock certain players. You do know the GOAT has always struggled against top defenses too right?
I got flashbacks of floating out route passes turning into pick 6's watching that video.
I blame Matt Schaub for that.
LZ said teams can request a weigh in at pro days, but players have a right to refuse.
And like CloakNNNdagger just mentioned, "Why" would be an interesting question because it would seem perplexing and intentionally hiding something.

The undisputable fact is, backed by game data, is that Stroud has sucked in pressure situations in terms of passing efficency in college. The flip side is, he's been strong when operating from a clean pocket, which was the vast majority of time in college. The variance does scare me quite a bit, although I 100% acknowledge the arm talent and ability to layer/hit windows.
His Vick/Watson comments also scare my a tad, along with his agent. Hanging out with Watson in the off-season. I just get bad vibes here.
To each his own though. I just presented fact/data to support my position.
Brady was married for 13 years to a woman worth over $400 million. Do you just argue for the sake of arguing? It had nothing to do with his wife making more money. Brady got a divorce and lost more money from wanting to win and his love of the game.
I don’t think any qb besides Brady has ever taken lessQB contracts are crazy and Stroud’s agent is going to look to maximize his earnings. Rightfully so - but I would want a QB more like the character of Brady who would take less to have a better team around him.
Maybe the case. Those are the facts from the totality of the season and not broken down by segment. He didn't seem to have any problems in his last game few games. Looked at the film and he is lighting up a very good team. Carrying his team
Perhaps there is a sound reason Doc is out on Young - like an AC subluxation?
I trust doctors more than my own emotions.
The "facts" you are quoting are numbers from a website without the underlying data. Those are not facts, they are opinions from unknown analysts looking at unknown variables. Where are the raw numbers? Do they include Stroud getting rid of the ball and avoiding sacks? No one knows. Those are the facts from the totality of the season and not broken down by segment.
Use the internet/youtube Sir. It's a good tool. Yes, those were the numbers. The "facts" you are quoting are numbers from a website without the underlying data. Those are not facts, they are opinions from unknown analysts looking at unknown variables. Where are the raw numbers? Do they include Stroud getting rid of the ball and avoiding sacks? No one knows.
If you are going to base your entire opinion of Stroud from a rating from a website, without raw data, what exactly is that opinion worth?
What? Brady was sacked 22 times last season. Cousins was sacked 46 times.I have a difficult time believing that Young will improve that stat in the NFL.
*************************************************************************************
25 players were tied for the fewest sacks by a quarterback in 2022, with 0 sacks. The first three are Matt Barkley, Tom Brady and Kirk Cousins.
Yeah young definitely felt that. Doesn’t matter what size/height you are, trying to pass the ball while falling down on that throwing arm is never a good idea.Again, the number of missed games does not reflect the conclusion.
