swapped and gave them a 2018 1st IIRCHow much did we trade to move from 25 to 12 to get Watson?
I think it’s a lot. I’d have been happy with Nolan Smith at 12.
But yeah, a drop off in talent.
I’m not mad. But it’s a lot.

Youve got to consider what the Texans got: 1.3 Will Anderson Jr. Good deal to me. Potentially Julius Peppers and a franchise QB in the same draft. Works for me.And I see it as #12, #33 and a 1st rounder next year. That is a lot to give up for one player.
Anderson more TJ Watt than JJ but used a lot on the line, and that ain't bad. What would you give for the next Julius Peppers/JJ Watt? And get a potential franchise QB? Future draft picks are uber crapshoots.
Houston traded its 2017 first-round pick (No. 25) and 2018 first-round pick to move up to No. 12.You tell me..
This happened because we got Stroud. I won't be a nagging detractor and I'll support. Heck, I think Stroud can become an average or better starter. But it will really sucks if he mids out on us. It will set the franchise back. How much did we trade to move from 25 to 12 to get Watson?

Jalen Carter looks exactly like Stacy Abrams
Exactly. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.I think of it as trading for the QB, not the DE
Indy got the eventual better QB. We should be scared of what Steichen and Richardson can very realistically become. Texans could be playing second fiddle on offense in the Conference for a long time. Should have gotten Richardson.Look, I dont care anymore about future draft picks, especially when we haev a LOT of it. Swing for the ******* fences for once and lets go. I'm sick of never making moves. I loved WA but was not overly hot for CJ but we picked up two concensus top players in this draft for once so LFG. I think CJ fits really well in this offense AND we kept him out IND and TEN.

Yeah we still have some interesting picks left here with #65, #73, #104 and now #105. You can stay with these or move around with trades in multiple combinations. That is range of Jalin Hyatt and Schmitz but costs both round threes. Prob worth it for either but both spots could probably be had.
I like Gonzalez, but our CB situation is ok. Need some of that capital for a OC, WR, LB. Maybe RB and TE even.We should trade up again to pick Gonzalez.
A third, first next year, and a future 2nd or some ****..... I don't know.

But whatever. It is what it is. Hope Stroud pans out to become a frontline QB.

Wypler (OC) at 65, Henley (LB) at 73, Mingo (WR) at 104 ??Yeah we still have some interesting picks left here with #65, #73, #104 and now #105. You can stay with these or move around with trades in multiple combinations.
I can agree the type of WCO was not the ideal fit. So, low IQ QB with crappy agent who patters his game around Michael Vick it is!You forgot all the IF's in your fawning over Richardson.
Also, the version of WCO that this team will run doesn't need a cannon-armed running QB with accuracy issues.

Slowik will change Stroud to fit his system as he was successful with Purdy. I am putting my hopes and dreams into our coaches now.I can agree the type of WCO was not the ideal fit. So, low IQ QB with crappy agent who patters his game around Michael Vick it is!
I go Commanders at 16
The drop continues
There are about six draft threads on here tonightIs it just my imagination or are there a lot less posters involved this draft?
Yes please!Wypler (OC) at 65, Henley (LB) at 73, Mingo (WR) at 104 ??
Really surprised he fell to 17I suspected Christian Gonzalez who is falling for some reason.

Saints would be another optionI could see Tampa, but wondering if Seattle will go for him now with #20?
Saints would be another option
yes but mostly same on all. There are about six draft threads on here tonight

thanks I was going to research that tomorrow. I couldn't remember any.
Circle jerk started immediately after the 3rd pick...
12 to 3 is worth twice the value of 25 to 12 per the trade value chartHouston traded its 2017 first-round pick (No. 25) and 2018 first-round pick to move up to No. 12.

Recent mocks have been showing Gibbs and Campbell in the firstWow I bet all of us who wanted Campbell in the 2nd feel like idiots now. What the hell is Detroit thinking? They drafted two 2nd rounders in the first. Geez just try and trade back.
