2023 DRAFT PICK SELECTION THREAD

With my 7th selection of the night, I'll be opting for a chilled Corona extra sprinkled with a generous helping of lime salt. I do have 18 possible selections on tap ,but chances are ,I won't make it that far into the fridge tonight.

Per Mel Kiper:

"You've gotta give him credit for heart and effort. He's a real warrior. He just doesn't finish. You can't do that without coaching on an empty stomach..."

Last year's QB class was BAD. Wherever Levis goes, he is already being drafted lower than Kenny "Little Hands" Pickett.

Happy not to be a pawn in Cal‘s video game.
Eagles are all in on the 2021 Georgia Bulldog defensive interior. Davis and Carter at DT, with the great Nakobe Dean at MLB. Don't sleep on that guy, Dean was the best defender on that defense.

Haven't seen any comments on this and wondering if anyone has any insight - was the trade worked up for the 3rd pick before they picked Stroud? If a trade was worked out before the 2nd pick it opens up speculation over which player they would have went with at 2 if there was risk of losing one of them without the 3rd pick. Just a point of curiosity.

In Nick's presser, he explored during the day, but only worked the deal with AZ while AZ was on the clock. So they seemed to think get the QB to maybe lessen the competition for 3, then worked a deal

If they picked Anderson first, Cards could have traded the pick a lot easier to another team, since other teams wanted Stroud.

Our pick was in with 5+ minutes to spare. We had a trade arranged beforehand.

But yeah, makes perfect sense to yank Stroud off the board so AZ didn't get a better offer on a tentative deal worked out ahead of time

Let the speculation begin. My suspicions were what you're saying. But didn't know if anyone had actual insight

I have no insight. Lots of talk pre-draft of trades so it seems reasonable to me.

Daniel Jeremiah from NFL Network had his last mock last night and he had us taking Stroud and trading up for Anderson. It was out there so someone in one of the organizations let it slip.

Why would anyone trade up at this point to get Levis in the first round? Who will take him tomorrow at the top of the second?

Detroit 2.3?

LA Rams 2.5?

Maybe Seattle 2.6?

Whomever has their eyes set on him just got a draft capital break. Easier to trade up into the second than the first.
