Nick Caserio - New GM

The fact that Caserio was able to trade Watson and Green makes him a ring of honor candidate if we win the Superbowl with the picks he acquired.

How the heck did he pull that Green trade off? It wasn’t with a team like the Browns…It was with Howie Roseman. A Super Bowl winning GM.
To be fair, Green sustained unlucky injuries was drafted into one scheme, then one he didn’t align with now another on horizon. That and coaching and overall culture of the offensive line room, made it too difficult for him to overcome.

Philly picked up Mekhi Becton off the Jets trash heap as a former first round pick, #11 overall on the cheap, sound familiar? All he did was fit right in on Philadelphia OL, coached by the best OL coach in NFL, Jeff Stoutland. So would say the room, teammates, culture & coaching all could just as well help Keynon Green too.

Wishing him the best

I love having trust in a GM and HC making the right call. The first round trade down and stockpiling of picks doesn’t give us fans instant gratification. But as a product of the work they’ve done in this era of the team, they have a lot of good players already on the roster and tough decisions will need to be made when their contracts come due.

Nick has stockpiled top 100 picks next two drafts to position the team to have replacements ready while also having the ability to continue improving the roster.

Listening to the post draft night 1 presser and he’s so comfortable because he knows his process is gonna work more often than not. No need to justify his moves to anyone. Like CJ said, he’s “earned trust”.

I predict Nick is going to mix things up today. Now that they have reinforcements at WR I could see Metchie in particular as a WR they might package in a player/pick swap. Metchie’s roster spot is more in flux because he doesn’t provide ST value but Hutchinson does play ST.

I could see them trading Metchie and a 6th for a 5th or for another player and a 7th (similar to the Kenyon/CJGJ trade).

Nick has mentioned plenty of times how difficult it will be to make this team. I don’t see them picking 5 players today. I’d set the O/U at 3.5

I bet Caserio trades back into the 4th using 2026 picks for a RB.

I wouldn't mind Pierce & a 7th for a high 4th to go get Skattebo.
There is a SWARM player!
I have had my eye on him for a while - along with several others!
But he'll do. Him or Devin Neal.
It will be great for this offense to have another good back to take over when Mixon is having a breather.

If Caserio seeks a RB….I hope he selects Donovan Edwards (Michigan). Why he’s that far down on prospect list is surprising. Guy pretty much does everything a RB needs to do for success in the NFL.

I think the same about Skattebo, but his NFL future may be as a terrific FB who could do some damage. His speed will more than likely be exposed in the NFL. Picture his as a FB- Tom Rathman type with a few more pounds added.

Wow! Someone gave the Texans an A+?!?!?
Wonders will never cease.

Through a cloud of smoke, I have suddenly envisioned Tricky Nick's strategy. All draft picks are put on thumb tacks in his seat, so he has to get rid of them somehow.
