If your QB needs EVERYTHING around him to be perfect then he isn’t a franchise QB. What great QB had a coach ruin their career?Wrong, that means the NFL has a history of **** coaches ruining careers.

Ten four… I don’t remeber the announcers saying that. The ball was tipped at the line
Definitely offCJ is just off. Been off all season. The int in the end zone is uncharacteristic..but he’s throwing to his 3,4 & 5 WRs.
He misses Nico badly. Still believe in the kid, but I think he’s pressing a little.
So we got slow f*cked, gotchaNo we got f$&cked by Slow
Also, Fairbairn is getting a pass for his second game with crucial missed FG’s. He hits the 2 he missed and the Texans are taking him the win…..even with the crap out 2nd half offensively.
Yep. What's the point of Stingley if you're gonna have the best guarded by the mike? Don't know what al shiir was thinkingnobody guarding the best receiver. Makes sense
It was a 58 yard attempt and the snap was high. How does Fairbairn miss that badly? What happened there?
Yeah at a minimum if Fairbarin hits that last FG, we’re going to OT. That joint wasn’t even close. Also, Fairbairn is getting a pass for his second game with crucial missed FG’s. He hits the 2 he missed and the Texans are taking him the win…..even with the crap out 2nd half offensively.
I agree. While CJ may have some challenges, he isn’t the primary issue here. In my view, the sequence goes: Slowik, the offensive line, injuries, and then CJ.Stroud for sure deserved some blame, if he hits Dell wide open in the endzone that game may have been out of reach.
He isn’t the main problem though. Mixon ran 25 times, with 1.8 YPC. How do we keep going back to that? He caught the ball twice, and got 44 yards. How do we not go back to that more often?
It is tough sledding out there when your top two WRs are out and the line is struggling, but you don’t need to be an offensive genius to see what was working vs what wasn’t.
Some people made some money today.Lots of money in Vegas went to the Texans today..Across the board. Does somebody know something I don’t?
nice!! lolI’m
So we got slow fucked, gotcha
Had Steve Young not escaped Tampa Bay, his would’ve definitely been ruinedIf your QB needs EVERYTHING around him to be perfect then he isn’t a franchise QB. What great QB had a coach ruin their career?
Hard to criticize a 58 yard miss man
Should've been a 28 point lead..We had a 16 point lead to start the 2nd half and Stroud immediately comes out and throws an interception. He had a wide open Tank Dell for an easy TD that would have sealed the game. Instead he threw a lame interception pass that helped get Detroit back in this game. This team wins without Stroud missing those two plays. How on earth does he not deserve some of the blame for this loss?
Wrong. Throwing ints trying make things happen is what would make our Qb a loser. Slowik not getting his receivers open or his receivers are overrated. Based on the fairly decent offense in the first half of games I would say most of the blame is on Slowik not CJ!Then that means your QB is a loser and isn’t able to battle through adversity.
I want to see what the offense looks like with a healthy Nico back in the fold before I start calling for heads. But yes, it does look like Stroud has regressed a bit from last year. Even though that should somewhat be expected since he's missing Nico/Diggs. Still there's no excuse for Stroud throwing that int in the endzone. Dude was wide open. You have been asked several times in this thread who do you replace Stroud with and you have refused to answer. At this point you’re just being a troll and deserve to be ignored.

I thought the hold adjustment was poor which is why I had asked. I’m wondering if it’s time to cut Townsend and sign another Joe Schmoe off the couch. Yea I know he kicked some good ones today but his performance overall… poor.It was a 58 yard attempt and the snap was high.
In fairness to Fairbairn he wasn't lined up dead center and the Lions kicker was. It makes it a bit easier when lined up dead center.Very hard to accept that since the Lions Tomball, TX brick salesman nailed his 58 yarder for the win and Fairbairn missed his which would had given the Texans the lead.
And the Texans only score 10 points off those 5 picks. And one of the picks CJ threw was a sure TD that they don't get. That's a whole lot of points left on the field.Hold on, y'all finally wait until CJ shows life to blame CJ for a loss? Yeah he had 2 picks.. Goff had ******* 5!
This game clearly exposed what the real problem is here.
I'm not letting Slowik off the hook. He was shitty and has called terrible games. I'm just saying Stroud deserves some of the blame tonight as well..Should've been a 28 point lead..
He came out and threw a pick in the flat (speaking of which how many throws did our OC call at or around the LOS or behind it?.. When you're OC is constantly shitting every bed Mattress Mack has in inventory you feel pressed to make plays. Go look up our 1st downs.. Now go look up how many of them came on unnecessary 3rd and longs, because of incompetent drives.
We lost yards on 1st and 2nd down, but let's blame the QB who extended those drives on 3rd downs and allowed us to have this discussion instead of talking about constant 3 & outs and scoring no TDs. Stroud actually bounced back tonight, tough breaks. Sure would've been nice if his OC helped him out.. Goffs did, which is why he'll be a head coach next year and hopefully Slowik will be unemployed.
I didn't notice the snap, That for sure makes a difference.I thought the hold adjustment was poor which is why I had asked. I’m wondering if it’s time to cut Townsend and sign another Joe Schmoe off the couch. Yea I know he kicked some good ones today but his performance overall… poor.
You're onto something here about the WR's not being able to get open. It's why I wanted to see a trade for Dionte Johnson at the deadline. That man can beat coverage. With that said, when Nico gets back a WR corps of Nico/Dell/Metchie should be good enough to get the job done. They really need to add another field stretcher next offseason. The field is too condensed with Nico out of the lineup.Wrong. Throwing ints trying make things happen is what would make our Qb a loser. He can’t even hit wide open players in the end zone.Running the ball on the 2nd down before the 2 minute warning is moron behavior. Why run when you could have threw it because the clock was going to stop anyway? You run for a 58 yard field goal? You serious? Idk if Kenyon Green even gets benched if he doesn’t get hurt. I don’t think Slowik knows what he’s doing. The manner in the way this defense staff coaches and the offense staff coaches is night and day. I don’t expect Demeco to be an offensive genius. He’s kept them in these games but you can’t let this sh** go on the way it’s going. YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Something has to change. Maybe allowing Cj qb coach to call plays will be a positive for this team.

Stroud threw to Stover and it was droppedSlowick could really help his receivers by utilizing his TE’s over the middle and at different levels. It would damm sure suck a S into coverage which should help one of receivers. I don’t understand Slowick’s refusal to incorporate the TE’s in his offense. This is a massive issue.
I agree, those 2 picks hurt bad. As much as settling for fgs. What I'm looking for from the offense is adjustments. What's concerning to me is the what they're missing offensively. Their limitations speed even with Nico which I thought was a problem. When Gibbs gets the ball, he can hit his head on the goal post. Williams can also. That's why I wanted Wright and Brian Thomas Jr. There are alot of bodies inside the hash marks because they don't have people that can run by people. Running inside all game vs the strength of the lions didn't make sense. People thought Green was the problem, but as I've stated, Mason is a problem also. At the end of the day, CJ has to play alot better.I want to see what the offense looks like with a healthy Nico back in the fold before I start calling for heads. It's time there is an option for replay of referees calls. At least once a game. The Bengals game can attest to that.
Stroud threw to Stover and it was dropped
Very hard to accept that since the Lions Tomball, TX brick salesman nailed his 58 yarder for the win and Fairbairn missed his which would had given the Texans the lead.
He and Dell thought they were wide open and floated it into the end zone, it wasn't a miss throw it was a mistake, he threw the ball where both him and Dell wanted it to go.. young mistakes. They didn't see the defender closing. What I won't excuse is a offensive coordinator who has only engineered 2 second half TDs all season.. Honestly Slowik needs to be hired as a defensive HC, allowing 2 second half TDs all year.. gotta be the best in the league right now.I'm not letting Slowik off the hook. He was shitty and has called terrible games. I'm just saying Stroud deserves some of the blame tonight as well..
Like Y2K, it probably fried the system..That's weird. The stat sheet doesn't show Tytus Howard's strip sack.

The Lions D stayed inside mostly in regards to stopping the run. As I said, they figured they could get pressure without blitzing and their LB's and secondary could help stop the run. Of course the Lions D-line was solid on their own. They didn't get a whole lot of pressure on CJ but they weren't very concerned about the passing attack in the second half. They continued to keep everything inside and the running game and screen plays were ineffective most of the game. It was up to Slowik to adjust and fix that problem. He didn't so we see what the result was.I agree, those 2 picks hurt bad. As much as settling for fgs. What I'm looking for from the offense is adjustments. For accuracy, the brick salesman's kick was 52 yards.
I dont have a problem with Mixon, he can hit his head on the goalpost too. But if you remember, I wanted Achane 2 yrs ago and Wright also to develop a 1-2 punch. I dont know what RB in next yrs draft fits the bill.I agree, those 2 picks hurt bad. As much as settling for fgs. What I'm looking for from the offense is adjustments. Who in the WR corps could loosen up the defense? The Lions D stayed inside mostly in regards to stopping the run. A sophomore slump was a real possibility. Still imo a big part of his problem this season is that he is hamstrung by poor coaching and overrated receivers. Now with Nico and Diggs out the receivers aren't consistently getting open. It is no fluke that the offense struggles so much in the second half! After the Vikings game I wrote that CJ is part of the problem on offense. I began to believe in him again after the Patriots game but after that game he has looked like an average quarterback. It's starting to look like last year was a fluke.
It's time there is an option for replay of referees calls. At least once a game. The Bengals game can attest to that.

That is accurate but that’s not what you posted.Tomball Brick Salesman hit his 58 yarder to tie the game and a 52 yarder for the win.
Very hard to accept that since the Lions Tomball, TX brick salesman nailed his 58 yarder for the win and Fairbairn missed his which would had given the Texans the lead.
I am not sure. I differ to your knowledge on young talent. Just the same this team has second half issues and as far as I asm concerned that is no fluke. It is too common place!Who in the WR corps could loosen up the defense?
